Absolutely awful customer service and help. I downloaded ********************** two years ago and used a debit card to open. My Zelle stopped working and I did not think anything of it as I did not use it at all. Now my employer wants to pay me and I put my phone number in the app and it will not work. I called support and because I now longer have the debit card and don't know the number, or CVC or the name of the company that supported the debit card I cannot get any help, Zelle says that they "cannot verify" my account with out the Bank name, last four of the debit card, CVC number. I am absolutely stuck. One woman hung up on me in customer support when I tried to get questions answered and I was totally being respectful. How can a company not have other means to verify you if you no longer have that credit card after two years???Early Warning

This is the worst monopoly by banks i have ever seen. Invented by banks to avoid paying back money to customers who are scammed. They knew what they were doing when they created this app making it available to anyone with a bank account, making money from everyone and taking no responsibility.Early Warning

I have Zelle on my banking app and some scam things happened and now Zelle has it locked down and I am not able to use it at all even though they do know it was not me who did all of it but they will not reopen my account for reasons they refuse to give me. I do not recommend using this app. They will blame the illegal transactions that you did not do on you then refuse to give you any kind of services and just tell you to use a different app.Early Warning

There is zero transparency into this company. The process to obtain a report is intentionally arduous. (No opportunity to request or obtain the report solely online) One needs to either provide HIGHLY sensitive information to a stranger on the phone or via email or fax to unknown persons. This information includes SSN and DOB. Should one agree to take these steps they still quote a 15 day turnaround time. Just another scam of a company purposely making it difficult for the consumer to have visibility into the information these companies have. They should be required to provide a purely online mechanism to securely request a report of the information held by the company. This same complaint is being shared with the *************************************Early Warning

This is the second time I've been scammed by Zelle. Last time it was $500 and, of course, they would not reimburse me. Yesterday it was $3,400. I'm a senior citizen living on Social Security and Zelle is allowing hackers to take our money and they take zero responsibility. It really is quite disgusting.Early Warning

There is no actual customer service available for anyone using zelle. I've been waiting on a payment for 6 days. It's not my first zelle payment. I tried to contact zelle after first speaking with my bank and I would like very simple questions answered. My only menu options are 1, which tells me to contact my bank, and 2, which tells me to wait. I'm reconsidering this service because no one with access to my money should be able to dodge helping customers.Early Warning

Dear *******************,Thank you for contacting Zelle about your recent experience. This letter is in response to your BBB complaint, received on January 16, 2023.We are sorry to hear of this situation and understand that it must be very upsetting. It is important to note that when enrollment occurs with a participating bank or credit union, Zelle is unable to access or view your profile, bank account, or payment transactions. All aspects of your Zelle profile and transactions are managed by the participating bank or credit union where you are enrolled. By way of background, Zelle is not a financial institution and is instead a service which enables consumers to make person-to-person payments with family members and others whom they trust through their bank. Early Warning functions as the Zelle Network operator, maintaining a directory of enrolled users, which is updated by participating banks as their customers register to use the Zelle service. However, Early Warning/Zelle neither transfers, moves, nor initiates the transfer, movement, or settlement of funds. Likewise, Early Warning does not hold consumer accounts, and use of the Zelle service does not establish a financial account of any kind.It is up to the bank or credit union and their terms and conditions with their users regarding reimbursement of any payments made. We recommend continuing to work with your bank or credit union regarding a resolution to this matter.Sincerely, Zelle SupportTawnya L.

This is no reason not to allow any customer support. Wait or call your bank is not good enough. My bank states it was an error Zelle's end. Full transparency. Allow people to see when they login to zelle which transactions have been submitted to the bank.Review fromStephanne G

If I could rate Zelle less than a star I would! This should be a class action lawsuit against zelle for everyone that has been scammed including myself! I was just scammed out of $1750, and tried to recover with my bank anthem couldnt stop it and they reached out to Zelle who basically wont stand behind it either! This is absolutely BS and you feel violated for your hard earned money that is just GONE! I will never use this again or anyone else I know or any other cash apps! They make it so easy for scammers!Early Warning
