      I paid them ******** dollars for publishing and marketing but after 9 month I've sold 51 book all due to my friends and family and every month I'd call and ask what they were doing *********************** always said to let them do there job. They said they would build a website but insted they just added me to there's they also said they only made 20 cents a book but ***** told me herself it cost them 3.75 to print and a 1.50 to mail but when I confronted them about it they lied and said it's all through amazon. I made a review on them a few months ago but I noticed It's not even shown. I just don't wan't people to get ripped off like I did, and there edititing was as if they just ran it through spell check.

We regret that this author feels dissatisfied with our services and understand how important this project was to him. From the beginning we worked closely with the author to guide him through each phase of the publishing process, and received author approval for each. He expressed satisfaction at several stages, including after receiving physical copies of his book. He also left a 5-star review, which we believe demonstrates his initial satisfaction with our services.

      We understand the author is disappointed with his book's sales performance. However, the success of any book is influenced by a wide range of factors, many of which are beyond anyone's direct control, including market trends and individual promotional efforts. Our goal is to provide authors with the tools and support needed to connect with their readers, and we stand by the work we've done in helping the author navigate this process. We also created an Author Web Page to help him promote his book, which was designed as a marketing tool intended to support the author in building visibility and allow sharing his work with his network, including on social media. When it comes to royalties and costs, we strive for complete transparency. We have had several conversations with the author to ensure he understands how earnings  are distributed from book sales.

      Finally, regarding the editing services, our team followed professional publishing standards to provide a thorough review of the manuscript. The final manuscript was approved by the author before moving forward, as part of our ongoing collaboration throughout the process.

      Although we understand that the author's expectations for sales may not have been met, we remain proud of the work we've done together and are hopeful that his book will continue to find its audience over time. We regret that he feels disappointed and hope he can find success moving forward.

      I paid Hawes & Jenkins $6,200.00 dollars to publish and market my book It was published and released in October 2023 and every month I would call ***** ****** and ask why I wasn't getting any sales and every month her reply was let them do their job. While talking to ***** she stated that they didn't build a website like they said, instead they just linked my book to there's, and although they said they didn't make any money ***** admitted to me that they printed my book for $3.70 cents and sold it for $15.99 and only Paid me $3.75 so wouldn't that breach the contract so when I received my W2 for 15 months later for $145.00 dollars and had only sold 50 books mainly to all my friends and family I decided to fire them with a balance due of $97.00 dollars that they never paid me. So I'm trying to get a full refund. or I will have to take them to court.

      It is unfortunate that this author still feels dissatisfied with the sales of his book. Our goal with every author is to provide a professional publishing service that meets or exceeds the authors vision for their finished book. Although this author was quite pleased with our work throughout the process, we understand that his book sales did not meet his expectations.


      High book sales are never a guarantee, as we are unable to predict sales volume due to a number of factors beyond the control of the publisher, such as buying trends at the time when the book is released;the marketing efforts provided by the author; and the genre and subject matter of the book content.  We understand the frustration that can occur, and we supply authors with several tools for them to help market their book in the best ways possible.


      All books published through H&J are available to bookstores nationwide, both online and physical. The decision to stock specific books on their shelves is at the discretion of each individual bookstore location.
      Our book royalties are paid out quarterly, and this author will receive any outstanding due royalties at that time. We feel that a professional book was created that matched the authors expectations, and we wish the author success in his future.
