I just had my book, Reflections on Literature: Exploring Meanings and Messages---Volume II: Touching Our Souls Through Poetry and Theater, published by ************************************************ awaiting to launch its marketing/sales efforts. Thus far, I am very pleased with our "partnership" and the professional working relationship between us, including *************** my publishing advisor, the design team, and the defined program.***** has been exceptionally responsive, friendly and yet professional, prompt in her communications, and always positive and upbeat---a real treat to work with. Of course, the proof of the success of my book will be in the sales *********************************************** will be able to generate through its promotion and marketing efforts.Stay tuned for a later review when this phase takes place over the next several weeks. We are sorry to hear that you feel your expectations were not met. Up through the publishing process of releasing your book to retailers you had no complaints. We cannot guarantee book sales on every book we publish, and understand it is frustrating if your book didn't become a best-seller. Our primary focus is to get the book published, distributed, and available with bookstores. An additional key factor in marketing is getting exposure in as many ways as possible, including using your personal network of friends/family/co-workers, as well as your personal social media accounts. Sometimes a book is an instant hit, sometimes it takes time to gain popularity with readers, and sometimes it never happens. Unfortunately it is quite unpredictable. I had a great experience with Hawes and Jenkins Publishing Company. They were so nice and professional. They did an excellent job on my book. They did everything I asked them to do and the book turned out perfect. I will continue to work with this company for my future projects. The staff is wonderful but the model is a scam. They promise you things that they don't follow through on and strategically leave out certain words or concepts. The editting service created more typos in my book than I had in my original manuscript and then they charge you 150 to fix the mistake THEY made. They also ONLY sell your books online, which they do not tell you until they are finished. Your book will never be in a bookstore unless you spend more money, order your own books and physically bring them to the bookstore that you want to see your book in. I spent $1,975.00 to have *********************************************** publish my book, A Prayer Life, with the most satisfying results. I was taken by the hand, slowly and carefully, to make sure no mistakes were made, and that I got the book I envisioned.There were a couple times I might have made major errors, but was guided by professionals to double- and triple-check OUR work. Personal attention to details were expertly explained and navigated by ******* *****, **** ******, ****** (billing), and especially ***** *****, my Publication Advisor, who extended much time and care in steering me through the process.Though the staff may change, *********************************************** superior standards wont.
