      I was charged $25 for a missed appointment by M&M Eye Institute of *************** (**********************************************************************************) for an appointment that I never made. It seems that they enroll their patients in an automated scheduling system. I did not consent to appointments over which I have no control, nor was I aware of this registration. I have spoken with someone in billing on three different occasions, left a review online, and emailed ********************************** (twice), who was listed as the person to contact for this issue. It has been months, and M&M refuses to address my concerns. M&M continues to mail me bills and threatens to send me to collections. I would like this matter resolved, so I am reaching out to you for resolution.

      1. They are also doing business as SOUTWESTWERN EYE CENTER, and AMERICAN VISION PARTNERTS 2. After my cataract and retina surgery they are sending multiple bills very confusing and difficult to read.3. They assigned me to collection office before sending a bill 4. I paid all that was required.5. Based on their ******** I discovered the I overpaid $80.78 and requested a refund on 11/26/22 thru their email and no response.6. Instead they sent me another bill for $6.02.7. I am disputing this bill and requesting $80.78 refund, the amount I overpaid.8. I am alleging that they either conduct their billing department in unprofessional manner, or deliberately providing confusing statements trying to get patients to overpay.9. Numerous calls I made to their different number resulted in no contact because of inability to pass the automated system. The numbers called were *****************-598-7550, ************.

      Thank you for bringing this unfortunate situation to our attention. We performed a thorough review of the account and determined the following:
      We confirmed that only 1 statement was sent to the address that we have on file before the account was sent to collections, in error.  
      A refund in the amount of $51.67 was distributed to the patient on 9/21/2021.
      There was a balance  on the account of $8.81 that has been adjusted bringing the account to $0 as of todays date.

      We are more than willing to call the patient and provide a statement summary showing all billed amounts, insurance contractual adjustments, insurance payments, as well as patient payments.

      We sincerely regret this situation occurred and apologize to the patient for the frustrating experience. It is always our intent to provide exceptional customer service and patient care. If the patient has questions, they should feel free to contact me directly.
