Waited over 1 1/2 hours from on appt time for a 2 minute eye pressure test. They changed my rx to a compounding pharmacy. The pharmacy then changed the rx without telling anyone. The rx didn't work so now I'm getting yet another rx. Then return in a month for recheck. Each visit is a $75 copay for horrible service.

I schedule routine vision exams for myself and husband at the *********** using my vision insurance. A routine eye exam is covered under my plan and it is in network. Much to my surprise I was billed for a vision appt ******. I tried to call but was never able to speak to billing. I would be transferred or placed on hold only to be disconnected. I figured out our appts were coded as medical not routine vision exams, so the insurance did not pay. How can a provider change an appt. Classification without my consent? Why is it impossible to talk to billing to get this straightened out? I feel I was scammed. I called the surprise act desk for questions and help. Guess what the surprise insurance desk can only help with medical insurance concerns, vision or dental. What an oxymoron. The bill is coded medical (which is wrong) & needs to be changed to the routine vision exam covered by my vision care insurance. I feel so sad that a company can do and charge the consumer anything they want and the customer has no way to fix systems error charges Barnet Dulaney Perkins eye center changed my and my spouses vision exams.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye and had complications following surgery. I saw experienced a black curtain every-time the light conditions changed,, ***************************** performed the surgery and stated it will eventually go away on its own, it didnt. I took a chance and needed to have the cataract removed from my right eye the following year. I made the mistake of allowing ****************** to perform the surgery, now I see a dirty piece of s cellophane crossing my vision where I cannot see out of my eye. I followed up with the VA only to find out the lense has a dirty wrinkle in it so now I have to have surgery to try to correct it! ****************** is a nice guy but stay clear if you want to be able to see correctly in your future! Terribl, to say the least!

Was scheduled to get pcl surgery and they kept giving me the run around after I paid in full. When they cancelled my surgery for a 3rd time I asked for my money back and it has been over 19 business days and still no refund. I recieved a bill in the mail for visits that they incorrectly billed my insurance. Seems like a crooked operation.

I would like to lodge a Complaint! My mother is 89yrs old, had an appointment 5-6 weeks ago, she went and her appointment was rescheduled. It took 2-3 weeks for her next appointment, she went and was rescheduled again. she now has to wait another week to see the doctor. My mother has Macular degeneration, she is basically blind. She needs to see the doctor, and they refused to see her the first time because she might have entered the incorrect information on the Kiosk and the doctor refused to see her and rescheduled her. This is not right, she does not drive, she's blind and 89 yrs old and lives in a retirement facility. She has to schedule rides and has trouble walking. You can't keep treating people like this! Especially older folks. She has a legit complaint here and no one in that office cares!! I will not recommend anyone going to this location - Ever. What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE, oh I forgot - it's the doctors office.********, ** location - If I could give a Minus, I would.**********

I've made 5 calls to the surgery center to reschedule my surgery. I had to postpone my surgery on 6/26.I've called 5 times now and no one is calling me back to reschedule. I did speak with a manager on 6/25 that promised me a scheduler would call me back. I called on these dates 6/22,6/23,6/25,6/28 and today 7/3.Everyone has been very apologetic but not one person could help me other than to read the notes and apologize as they were in awe of all the notes and promises made. I'm upset but have been extremely polite each time I call but I'm now done and I want some help in getting this matter resolved. They've taken my payment for surgery and just don't seem to care anymore now that they've been paid. This is one very disorganized company. And quite frankly scares me that I'm getting my surgery done here.

2.5 years later I get a bill for the surgery! Months of calls back and forth gave little answers and were minimally helpful with half my time spent on hold. They didn't get auth for the surgery, did the surgery, then it "got lost" both at insurance and at Barnett... which seems a bit unbelievable. For the surgery itself, Barnet Dulaney is a surgery mill. In and out as fast as they can and it shows. Bedside manner poor. Advice, especially to new and very scared patients, was minimal and when given, it was offered in a manner of "this is really Inconvenient for me to be spending time with you." Before the surgery I even went so far as to tell them I was scared/nervous but still was treated like I was being ridiculous. Eye surgery is scary. Meet your patients where they are. I do not recommend this company, especially for first time surgery. Maybe if you don't need much hand-holding and support you'd be okay here. It was definitely not for me, though.

** explained to the surgery Counselor that I did not want a stint put in my eye for a mild glaucoma. I only wanted cataract surgery. She handed me many paper forms to be filled out and sign quickly which included granting permission to install a stint. When I saw the surgeon (a quick 5-minute visit) I asked him if he had experience installing a particular lens I was interested in and he said he did. The day of the operation he acquired a technical representative from the manufacturing company to monitor the operation. The surgeon was not classified as a Glaucoma specialist who are the doctors that usually perform a stint operation, according to my knowledge. Sometime after the operation I noticed yellow puss coming from my eye. I complained about this to the receptionist, who scheduled me to see a doctor as a follow up. This doctor had less experience and had recently completed residency. This was a concern, because I dont think my problem was properly understood. I scheduled again and still did not get a very experienced doctor upon my next follow up. I went to a doctor not associated with D&P to get some one more experienced.I was billed $200, months after completion, which I had previously paid for by credit card.Twice the billing department charged me for what I had previously paid for. They tried to convince me that I owed them money then tried to convince me that the bill was for a pair of glasses I received (even though the dollar value for those glasses didnt match what they were charging me. Im still being billed. All my medical records were never transferred to another ophthalmologist. Several written requests were made over a period of months D&P keeps telling my doctors office to send another request form. There is poor communication between these departments. Given all the difficulties in getting decent service, I suggest If you want quality with personalized experience find another provider.
