I am new in town, I called to make appointment for remove the cyst for my eye August of 2022. The reception said yes we do have Ophthalmologists can help me to removed the cyst. When I show up they do many eye exam including the prescription for new eye glass this how they make money. I stopped the eye doctor after 30 minutes and asked him are you Ophthalmologists? He said no, I am an Optometrists. I also asked him do you know what I am here for? He responded no. I was not happy at all, I make an appointment to remove the cyst end up regular eye doctor. The cost also outrageous almost $500. The eye prescription $50 they did not explain to me clear. This is not honest business, please avoid to see them if you can.

Assessing a prescription payment of $52 (which I thought was illegal per the *** which says you are entitled to it after an exam) - https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/complying-eyeglass-rule?They are now attempting to parlay routine eye exam into a 'medical procedure' for insurance billing purposes? an exam costs over $500? Watch out for their business practices.

So I am an RN licensed in AZ currently, worked for years in a NY hospital on a medical surgical floor. To the point, I saw a dry eye specialist at Southwest eye clinic, owned by American vision company. My left eye kept watering, not one eye doctor I saw past 5 years could help. So the dry eye specialist at southwest said he didn't know why it was doing that after the exam. Said I could try Flonase if it's allergy, but my left eye had a higher than normal eye pressure, nothing said about it and nothing needed to be done. I tried that, it kept watering did take half of regular antihistamines every week. I saw another dry eye specialist at Barnet Dulaney Perkins this time, came highly recommended by an optometrist I had seen for a regular eye exam. So at the end of the exam, he said my left eye pressure was dangerously high, needed to see one of their glaucoma specialists immediately, He gave me drops to lower the pressure, had me see her the next morning. I told him I had taken antihistamines the last 2 days, he said could be the reason for the high pressure. The drops he gave me lowered the pressure the next day when seeing the glaucoma specialist, but she said I had narrow angle glaucoma both eyes. She said she can correct it completely with laser. I sat with the pre-surgical person, signed papers, she said it is covered by insurance. No one told me it was billed under surgery would have a copay of $275. I go the bill was really angry, These offices are dangerous, and after ******************'t tell you an fee's up front.Southwest was dangerous not telling me to not take antihistamines, Barnet Dulaney, Perkins, no fees disclosed. I wouldn't recommend either..

Wow, I should read the reviews before going places. I wouldn't have to be writing this. I went to see the optometry at the office in Mesa (Baseline close to 202). The front desk women was very rude and guy a little bit better. I paid my deductible, but I didn't want to pay extra for my prescription, they want to charge me extra $50 for that. I thought that was obviously included. NOW, 6 months later I received an ****, charging me $102.00 for the prescription exam and my deductible again. If you can go someplace else, please do. This business is something else.
