They have the worst technology I have ever seen I tech company have. I have had nothing but issues. I keep buying upgrades trying to fix the issues but that doesn't work either. Than they refuse to refund any money even through they messed up. You lose days of work because of them. When I bought one upgrade I lost all my emails even though they assured me it wasn't going to happen. Don't even get me started on their Chat bot. They take forever to answer then you time out and you have to start over with a new person. I think there are free versions that could do better for them. I can't wait until my subscriptions are up so I can move to a different platform. I would pay triple to never have to deal with them again.GoDaddy.com LLC

1 starGoDaddy charged me for a service advanced email security that ceased to function. That they admit to. However they refuse to provide a refund.This should be criminal.They hide behind their refund policy which should not apply in the case of a defective non- functioning service.Review fromLee N

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service!!!! Their website themes have broken or inadequate codes and they ask their customers to buy a subscription in order to resolve their internal issues on coding their themes, which is a bigtime consumer trap. I have waited 6 days so far with almost 12 hours of logged phone time for them to change the 'color of a button'. Now, imagine having bigger issues!! You would probably celebrate another birthday waiting for them to resolve your issue!! Look elsewhere for domain and websites, GoDaddy is NOT the one to choose, TRUST ME!! 0 STARS 0 STARS 0 STARS 0 STARS 0 STARS!!!!! Not worth the headaches, the stress, nor the escalation of your blood pressure to unsafe levels!!!GoDaddy.com LLC

I started a free trial with GoDaddy a few days ago and spent hours building my website. I saw that the ad said I could purchase a domain and get a free website. I purchased the domain and called customer service to make sure that my DNS was pointing to my free site that I now had because of the domain purchase. When I called in they said I needed to now purchase a subscription for the website. I told them that was misleading as I had purchased the domain so I could have a free site (for now) Its a hobby site not a business. I have a business for context and do not want to put the thousands of dollars into a hobby that I have put into my marketing. Long story short. They told me I would need to pay an additional $89 on top of the yearly fee as it is a one time fee to keep the site I had built during the free trial. This is absolutely shady and seems like a money grab. Letting my free trial run out and pointing my domain elsewhere!GoDaddy.com LLC

Have been locked out of my account for 10 days. Originally it was because my CC expired and I never received a notice of a payment being due. I don't have access to my back-up acct(which is my fault that I didn't update my record) - so I had to send in my drivers license to prove it was me. I appreciate the security check, but they tell you that it will be up to 72 hours before it gets fixed. At the 72 hour **** - they send you an email telling you they didn't get your DL, so I send it again. I call them at the 48 hour **** and ask if they received it this time, they say yes - then the next day I get another email saying they didn't receive it. after calling them out on their lie - they then send me yet another email telling me they need a pic of me and my DL to prove it is me - and of course that one was too blurry- BUT even blurry, it is obvious it is the same drivers license. So I had to send it yet again. I called the next day to have them look at my acct to prove they got my email and yet again they find another reason not to help me. on my 4th 72 hours wait - I asked for a supervisor and was told they will tell me the same thing and I will be receiving yet again another email - this time they want an ID of the former account holder of my current work address - WHICH ISN'T EVEN RELATED TO THIS ACCOUNT. calling yet again ... 10 days of no way to know who is trying to reach me is going to lose me business, make me miss bills that are due and can't access my confirmation.. this should be a fairly easy fix by just quizzing me on other emails or personal information they took when I opened the acct.GoDaddy.com LLC

Godaddy is a corrupt company that takes advantage of their customers. They are dishonest and shady in their business practices. I have had the worst customer service with them and I would never recommend using them for any type of website. You are better off not having a website at all than using godaddy.comGoDaddy.com LLC

While I loved having my own domain to create a personal blog, it ultimately wasnt feasible for me to maintain long-term, so I decided to stop auto-renew and pause everything until I was ready to return. Despite opting out of all communications in my account settings, Ive continued to receive persistent emails from the company.Trying to reach customer service to resolveor even inquire aboutthis issue has been a nightmare. The contact options are convoluted and unhelpful, making it nearly impossible to reach a real human being. This is now my second attempt to address the problem. During my last interaction, the representative offered no meaningful support, left me waiting for 10 minutes, and then abandoned the chat entirely, leaving an AI agent to give vague and generic responses.Even today, I still havent received a clear explanationother than being told my only option is to permanently delete my productnor any real resolution. All I want is to stop receiving unwanted communication. This should be a basic request, yet it remains unresolved unless I delete my product entirely, which would risk losing the domain for future use.This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable. They lack any real support and disregard customer concerns.GoDaddy.com LLC

Absolutely terrible experience. You can be on hold for 40 min just to talk to the representative, and once you are connected to a person, some of them are NOT knowledgable to all. I am not sure how GoDaddy is hiring or training people not to be able to fix basic issues. I have dealt with many hosting companies, and GoDaddy's customer service is the worst.GoDaddy.com LLC

1 starWish I could leave a -10. Go Daddy charged my debit card twice in 10 days to allow me to keep my domain name. I closed my business in December 2020 due to covid and corporate greed. I spent 2 hours online and on text on 5/10 with nothing resolved. Their policy is that you must contact them within 48 hours to receive a refund. The last date of charge on my bank site was 5/8 and I Called them 5/10. but they claimed they charged me on 5/7 so I was past the deadline. I lost access to my email in June 2024. They had sent me an email to that address, supposedly. I could not have received it because (as I stated at least 50 times) I no longer had access to that email. And because my business had been closed since Dec. 2020, I do not check that bank account often because I do not have a lot of charges coming and going. They were relentless, rude and refused to give me a refund then forced me to access my email again by filling out a form, which still does not make sense. as soon as I did that, I got a text and an online notification that I had timed out and the chat was over. So I called again on 5/12. Again I received a rude and unhelpful man who refused to refund me. I pushed and pushed until he finally refunded me one of the $24.98 charges, not both! I requested he remove my debit card and severe my relationship with Go Daddy. As our call was ending, he reminded me that my domain name (which was what I was supposedly paying a monthly fee for) was good until 2029!!! WHAT???? Are you kidding me? I was beyond angry and I will let as many people as I know that Go Daddy is a complete scam of a business and they take advantage of people and have unbelievable policies and rude, terrible customer service. GoDaddy is by far the worst website provider I have ever used. Their whole business model is based on collecting personal information of not only you but your customers as well to use it for spam. They force you to make your customers enter their email address on the customer forms submission on your website and you can't remove it. They also randomly hold your payments from customers hostage until you provide them with all your customers personal information and your personal banking information. They then use that information to spam you and your customers as well as give your banking information to loan companies and other related companies to spam the h*** out of you. They cause major disruptions in your business by holding your customers payments hostage. I am currently in talks with an attorney looking into filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against GoDaddy.
