      I contacted Vista Glass in early December 2024 requesting a price to install a frame-less glass shower door in the master bathroom of a new home. I had already purchased the shower door from a supply house. Vista Glass sent Mario, one of their supervisors to inspect both the shower door and the porcelain tile enclosure and take measurements in order to give me a price for the installation. Angelica from Vista Glass called me the following day with a cost for the work. I agreed to the price and Vista Glass sent out Gary, one of their installers, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to do the installation. In attempting to install one of the side supports for the door, Gary damaged some of the porcelain tile and could not complete the installation until the tile was replaced. Gary called his office to explain what had happened. I called later that day to ask what arrangements would be made to have the tile replaced and the shower door installed. I was told that those arrangements would take time. I asked that I be kept updated and that the repairs/installation be done as soon as possible since we were ready to move into the house. Since then Vista Glass has delayed in correcting the situation, which I understand to some extent, since it was over the holidays. Finally, Vista Glass sent a tile contractor on January 3, 2025 to inspect the damage and give them a price to repair it. On January 6, 2025 I received a call from Angelica to tell me that the owner of Vista Glass would only pay one-half of the cost of the repairs and wanted me to pay the other half. This is totally unfair since it was their workman who damaged the tile.
