On or about ******************** two installments for approximately $30,000 of doors and windows for my home. The installation was flawless. It came with a lifetime warranty. Fast forward to 2025. Three of the double hung windows were getting very hard to operate. I've emailed them several times and talked to two sales **** who assured me they would contact the warranty **** in my behalf for assistance. I have never received a call back from anyone. If can get them to set up an appointment with me to rectify the problem I would be grateful. If they don't want to come out to my house I would accept a refund on the three windows in question. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I had them come by for a quote and they wanted to do a soft pull to see if I qualified for financing. I confirmed multiple times that it was only a soft pull to my credit but I had a hard inquiry show up in my report days later. It was an unauthorized fraudulent pull.Initial Complaint

April 30, 2024 Installers removed old door & frame, replaced w/ new Provia steel door. Installers arrived around noon, though they were scheduled to arrive between 7-9am. They were finished same day by about 6pm. We paid the entire remaining balance that day. Several issues, some have been remedied. Unresolved: see photos: crooked door knob plates both sides of the door, door sticks getting worse with the heat, getting harder and harder to open and close. I applied 30 lbs of force this morning to try to pull open from inside, and couldn't do it with one hand. Afraid of breaking the door knob. The service follow up has been very poor, I've had to call repeatedly to initiate remediation, often our Customer Service Rep didn’t know if Service had followed up. On our way out of town last Thursday (6/6/24) Service called me even though I had informed them earlier in the week that we would be out of town until Monday (6/10/24). During that call on Thursday I requested an appointment this week (6/11-6/14) at that time, not wanting to wait until we got back to make the appointment. I never received a call back. So I called twice this morning (6/11/24), one time to leave a message, and getting no response after an hour, called again. Service could "squeeze us in" this Friday, the last appointment of the day and of the week. Due to my past experiences with this company and the lackadaisical attitude, I fear it will take more time to get this resolved. Meanwhile our door gets worse, we have to compromise our home security by leaving a side gate open to access our own home through our yard and back door. The photos show the crooked door knob plates, and the off center door within the frame, right hinge side gap, and left side tightness. Also, the wear at the latch, where the door has been sticking, paint has been scraped off. If they are short staffed, they should hire at their expense a skilled professional to fill in for their overworked crew. WILL NOT RECOMMENDInitial Complaint

I had all my windows replaced by Anderson window replacement in August of 2023. This was very expensive and I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about my windows moving forward. The sales person assured me the windows would make all the difference in the comfort of my home and demonstrated how you would now feel the heat or the cold from outside with these windows. In November I started noticing moisture and condensation on the windows and window frames. I contacted the company and they told me the humidity level in my home was too high and I should use a dehumidifier. My humidity was at 50%. They stated it should be below 30%. So I got the humidity down to 30%, yet still had condensation and now ice build up on the interior part of the window and frame. Plus black mold forming on the wood frame despite constantly wiping off the moisture. I again contacted the company and sent pictures. They responded with a brochure stating the house humidity was the problem and the humidity level should be 15%. I worked diligently at lower the humidity level, to the point of my family experience nose bleeds due the dry air. Despite all my efforts, I still had ice and condensation on the windows. Interesting enough, we had a very mild winter. I have not received any call back from the company and extremely concerned about the mold on the woodwork and what will happen next year if it’s a normal Minnesota winter!!! I have had replacement windows in a previous residence through a different company and never had problem with condensation. Anderson Replacement Window ads boast how they are better and are customer focused…wrong!Initial Complaint

I inquired about getting a QUOTE for windows & installation from Southwest Windows & Doors LLC re DBA: Renewal by Anderson. On 07/23/2023 a rep came to my home, wrote down numbers, showed me the "quote" and had me sign papers. I told him, Jon Navaro, that I would be in touch as I just started shopping for the best price. I decided the cost was not affordable and called Jon to let him know. It took me several calls, leaving voicemails, before Jon reached out to me. He responded by text and told me I could not cancel because it was beyond the cancellation deadline. He had submitted paperwork applying for a loan with Green Sky to finance a loan for me to get the windows. I had no idea I was getting a loan until I started getting mail from Green Sky Loan Program about my upcoming loan payment. I was mislead, and avoided by Anderson Windows until the grace period to cancel had passed. Now I have received a statement for my payment due to Green Sky whom I have been in contact with numerous times explaing I did not want this service and no contract has been fulfilled so I should not have to pay for it or the cancellation fee since I could not get a response from Anderson Windows when I tried to let them know I didn't want the windows. I believe I was misled and taken advantage of by the window company. At the time I had recently been released from a 28 (approx) day hospital stay, almost losing my life to Covid and I was heavily medicated. Yes I did discuss this situation with the rep. in conversation. I was told that if I decided to buy the windows it would be 6 months until they were ordered and the installation would begin so the company did not lose anything. They just want free money. I don't understand how he would believe I could come up with over $8000 for 4 windows as I am on social security.Initial Complaint

The Anderson company was hired to replace windows in my home by the previous owner. Unfortunately the owner passed away and the job was never completed and leaks in the windows they have replaced. Some windows have never been completely installed and others were ordered but never installed. It’s like Anderson found out the customer died kept the money and never finished or fixed leaks. I purchased the home from the estate and I’m stuck with a company that won’t respond or do the right thing and complete the installation and fix leaksInitial Complaint

What should had been an addition to energy saving measures. This has turned out to be a nightmare. Not to mention a higher electricity bill which is a nightmare in itself. After almost paying $14,000.00, none of the install windows FIT!!! The A/C escapes through all 5 windows. The windows are all almost an inch shorter than the actual window frame. I'm so glad our monsoon was not as bad or I could have lost a window with a strong gust of wind. I had more dust in my house than outside which is not good for my son who has severe asthma. The company did come out to "correct the error" they remeasure the problem windows. I thought the windows would be replacement windows soon after. Unfortunately that was not so. The company had to come out a second time 5 months later, to once again remeasure the same windows and "fill out specific paperwork. I was told that corporate denied the original request to replacement windows because the claim was not written on the "proper" paperwork. We are now 3 additional months from the second visit, again no phone calls and no replacement windows. I've called for status and instead i am received with condescending remarks by their customer service representative and/or the run around. Yet every month the company receives my payment. Which is on time and with interest, for in my opinion, services NOT rendered and customer satisfaction. We have been patiently waiting for the corrections to be made, I am done waiting! We will be filling a claim with the BBB and the FTC on before the year ends.
