I bought a transmission from them with a warranty for full refund if there was any reason I didn't want it My mechanic did a previous job for me replacing 2 front axles . A week or so after that the car wouldn't go into gear and he told me I needed a new transmission. We went to Pick Your Part and got a transmission. I payed $465 which included the full warranty. When the mechanic was doing the work I had another mechanic come check out the job and he determined that I didn't need a transmission at all . One of the axles popped off because the mechanic I was using didn't put a band on it to hold it in He was trying to make more money from me by rigging it to break down. Once we realized what he was pulling he left and my new mechanic put my car back together. I went to pick your part and explained that my mechanic was trying to fool me into paying way more money and I wanted to return the transmission. They had hammered stamps on it and took pictures of it to make sure they would know it's the one I bought, plus I used my debit card but when I told them the mechanic ran off with the receipt they said they couldn't refund my money without it . I told them I had my debit card and bank statement and they had their own exact copy of the receipt so why couldn't they use all that obvious proof to make sure everything was legit. They said I had to have the piece of paper or they couldn't do anything. I'm 65 years old and basically homeless with no income and that was all the money I had they said sorry can't help you

My son sold a vehicle to Pick your part auto wrecking. When the tow truck arrived we realized we couldnt access the truck where I had about $600 worth of merchandise new and semi-used. The trunk would not open due to battery being dead. Since the vehicle electric we were unable to pop the trunk. We checked to see if we would be able to folding the back seat with no success as the vehicle didnt have that feature. My son and my self were pressed on time so I told him to ask for help when dropping the vehicle. My son upon arrival told the worker at Pick Your Part that there were items in the trunk that we were interested but couldnt get them out. He asked if there was anyway to pry the trunk open. He said he couldnt help. I got sick and couldnt go right away. I called several times to Pick Your Part phone number and got routed to an 800 line where I explained my situation and was told I had to personally go and talk to them in person. At the time I was sick and had a contagious skin infection. As soon as I was able to go. I spoke to ******* ********. When talking to her I explained everything and told her I needed my items back. Never once was I specified what the items were. During my conversation with ******* she exclaimed that she did not know what happened to my clothes. I asked how did you know it was clothes? I never told you what the items were. She answered thats normally what people leave behind clothes and trash. She continued to say we threw it away. So I told her, first of all my son notified the people receiving the vehicle that there where items in the trunk that belonged to me but because of the battery being dead we where unable to open the trunk. Second he asked for help and was denied. Third the items where a lot and did not look like trash in any way shape or form. ******* tells me there is nothing she could do. It got thrown to the trash. I left very upset at the whole situation. .
