Scam - Sends an urgent 'final notice' and falsely claims they are associated with the receiver's bank/credit union. I checked with mine, and they are not. Don't fall for it.

It clearly states on the notice that was sent that we are NOT affiliated with your bank and or credit union - we simply handle long term warranty extensions for homeowners across the country. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Please feel free to reach out to us should you have any additional issues or concerns.

This response is simply not true.At the upper left hand corner of their mailing, along with UREGENT and other aggressive statements, is states "At the request of XXXX (my banking institution). This is what triggered me to call and confirm that my institution has nothing to do with this business and that this is a false claim. Any business that relies on deception and scare tactics can't be trusted. The response goes on to apologize for any confusion. This deception was intentional.

They sound like a scam and the positive reviews sound like they were paid for or done by a friend. I too received a "warning" letter designed to make me fearful. Luckily, I am aware of the immoral companies out to make a buck by threatening seniors who worked their whole life for what they have. Shame on you Harbor Home.

Like a previous complaint: "As a senior home-owner, I was appalled at the business practice of Harbor Home Warranty in sending a FINAL NOTICE to my home under the guise of an emergency notice. Besides the wording on the envelope causing me to open it in a panic, it implies that I MUST get a warranty immediately (emphasizing IMMEDIATE, IMMEDIATELEY - misspelled, URGENT, FINAL ATTEMPT, TIME SENSITIVE throughout the document and indicating that the reader is AT RISK......". The letter also referenced by name a Bank that I use for mortgage services. I will be taking the letter and my concerns to ************ and recommend they take action to prohibit this practice.

It is inconceivable that a business with a good reputation with the BBB needs to stoop to such tactics! Why not just offer your services like the other companies, but adding a little more personal care and respect? I will never use Harbor Home Warranty, and will recommend to my friends to read this document before deciding if this is the kind of business they want to engage for the care of their home. Oh, please don't blame the marketing department. It is your responsibility to review how you relate to potential customers.
