    ******'s Curbs not only solicits their services door-to-door in areas that explicitly state "no soliciting", but solicits a service that disturbs and encroaches the civil and social safety of the community. This business offers a service where they repaint and/or add designs to street numbers that are located on a curb, highly visible to the public. The designs include, but are not limited to, flowers, the American flag, ribbons for cancer awareness, etc. They also, unfortunately, offer designs in which represent social movements like (per the flyer used to solicit) "Blue Stripe (Police Pride)". Assuming that this business offers design choices based in social movements, we contacted the owner, Dean ******, with the inquiry for other designs which promote social movements. The inquiry for a Black Lives Matter design was met with a personal opinion, which I assume represents his company. This opinion was that "all lives matter". While this design choice of "police pride" is protected speech, I find it disturbing and concerning that this business is openly soliciting this opinion and social movement, with complete disregard for other social movements. If the disregard and disagreement for other social movements are denounced by the owner/business, we (fellow neighbors) ask that he remove social movement designs from the flyer used to publicly solicit services. He should either only offer these designs per request, or decline any and all social movement designs. Our community is understanding of all perspectives and prospective opinions protected by First Amendment rights, but wish to no longer be solicited by this business, in which the owner's opinion teeter toward the infringement of the civil rights and safety of our community.     I will do my best to respond to everything ******** ******* wrote. I've been in business for over 20 years. I have checked the soliciting issue out with my city and what I do is classified as advertising not soliciting. My service harms no-one and in fact it provides safety for my customers. I paint for a lot of officers and a lot of my customers like to show their support for the law. my service does not discriminate to anyone. yes indeed black lives matter as do all lives but unfortunately I can only paint what is offered on my flyer. my flyer does not represent any social movement and no civil rights are being violated. this person is not a customer of mine and never has been. I do my best to provide an excellent service to my community. thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
