    The lien Service Master at Bakersfield (SMB) placed on my house is unwarranted. The company has received payment in full for the demo and contents-related services, except $295.00 for out-of-pocket expenses for *************** incurred for delivery beyond Bakersfield in June and $295 for the same in July. SMB verbally quoted $295.00, as supported in text messages with ******* *******. Otherwise, *** did not provide me a written estimate for out-of-pocket expenses before or during the first and second pack-out. Neither has SMB compensated me for damaged furniture and missing items, despite their receipt of several photographs and description of missing items. Moreover, the second pack-out was due to no fault of my own but to miscommunication between managers at ***: I did not receive all of the requested content that I asked for initially, causing a deleterious impact on my business and health. To prevent further distress, I chose to have all of my content that was stored in SMB's storage delivered to **********. Unfortunately, I am still waiting to receive my armoire. As my ******************* adjuster ******* ***** submits, to assist me in reaching a fair resolution, I made full payment to ServiceMaster except for the disputed charge covering travel beyond Bakersfield (5 hours with labor) and she was surprised to receive an additional invoice for approximately $5,000.00. To her knowledge, she did not receive any written or additional verbal estimates for costs beyond the initial verbal quote.SMB continues to muddy the waters of my resolution efforts with confusion, delays, nebulosity, threats, inaccuracies and placing a lien on my house.

    Sent messages to ****** at service master on 10/4/22 because the paint was peeling after a ***************** claim job they had done. He never sent anyone out to repair the peeling paint, Most of it was done very poorly, I was yelled at and treated awful to where the owner had to get involved. Also, the water line does not work to my refrigerator, they said they are not responsible for this but it worked before they took the walls out in this area due to water damage. They did not cover my refrigerator and damaged it severely and it smells awful to this day because they left food in it. I would like them to repair the paint and inspect and correct the water lines in the wall. I did not want to call them directly again for all of the mistreatment I went through from them. I do have to say the main owner tried, but ****** did not resolve the issues.

    Attached is a certificate of satisfaction dated 8/24/22 signed by **************************

     

    This was a difficult job with a husband and wife going thru a divorce at the time.  *********************** was the named insured home owner and who our contract was with.  The entire house was repainted at no additional charge because of a disagreement on the color choice.  Husband directed us to one color after completion ****************** expected it to be different.  To help resolve we repainted.

     

    Contact was made with ***************** by ********************* to inspect the peeling paint and she told him she would get back with him on a time and has not done so.   The warranty period of construction in ********** is 1 year for workmanship issues.

     

    The water line that is mentioned was not part of our job scope or contract.  She has been told this a number of time and could contact a plumber to make the repair but it was not part of our scope.  The pluming line was not touched, attached are picture from kitchen prior to repairs the baseboard behind the refrigerator was replaced by they drywall was not removed or replaced.
