      Word of advice! Dont EVER rent from Silverthorn Resort - Houseboats. We rented a ********* from them last month (end of August). Upon our arrival back to dock they stated we hit and broke another *********s slide. I was shocked because at no time did we ever come close to another *********. I told them I do not authorize this damage charge. I continued to call the week after only to be told that management was very busy and they would review the video again. I continued to call to see if the video had been reviewed and said I wanted to see the video of us hitting another boat. No call back and no email. Fast forward to weeks later and I get a charge to my account for gas AND a $1200.00 charge for a damaged slide. I immediately called to dispute this charge and of course management is busy. Im pissed! We rented the Queen ********* #**.after zooming in on the video they finally sent me and changing the filter its clearly 76 that hit another boat. The people in the video dont match our ********* crew whatsoever and here we are out $1200.00 for damages we NEVER did! The video also shows a fishing boat attached to the side of the *********. We RENTED a fishing boat from Silverthorn and that's the only boat we had. You would think they would pull their rental log to see we rented THEIR boat and the boat in the video is clearly not the small tin boat we rented from them. I dont understand how a company can just charge you when you didnt sign the form listing damages and continued to say it WAS NOT US!!!!!! Take it from me and save yourself a headache. ????

      This is the most unprofessional sham of a company I have ever experienced. We had booked a reservation months in advance in which they charged us the full amount of the reservation. They waited until after 4pm the night before we were supposed to check in (on a holiday weekend non the less) to call our party and cancel on us. They then set the phones to out of office and we were unable to get ahold of them for any sort of solution. We had 14 people who had all traveled from out of state and were stranded with no accommodations on a holiday weekend. When we finally got ahold of them the morning we were supposed to check in we were just asking for clarification on what happened and a refund to be able to pay for different accommodations and they hung up on ** several times. When we finally got someone to stay on the phone she made it very clear that she was the victim in the situation. If we had canceled last minute on them they would have kept the entire amount of the trip however they canceled on us less than 24 hours in advance and we were left with no accommodations, had purchased flights, taken pto from work and their response was it happens. In my opinion it doesnt just happen I have traveled plenty in my time and nothing like this has ever happened before. They intentionally and with malice destroyed a very expensive vacation costing a lot of people a lot of money.
