On 7/23/23 myself and sister ******* paid for my mother funeral services and select her stone prior to her last breath. On 9/12/23 green acres was notified of our mothers passing.Assuming after our mother ****** services 10/3/23. She would have her stone within 3-6 months as stated since it was selected prior. But as of 6/26/24 nothing has been completed nor communicate. We as the consumers have called many times asking for updates and we are just getting the run around. We are just a $ number to this company and they haven't completed their end of their contract of paid in full services. We are requesting a small portion of suffering payment as well as the stone to be place immediately.Tge amount was more than 3500 but I paid 3500 in my card and my sister paid the other estimated balance of 1500.Business Response

My mother was buried at this location in July 2021. We were told at the time we made arrangements, that we would have a vessel to place flowers at her gravesite. This has yet to be done. My mothers siblings and children visit her gravesite throughout the year and each time, we inquire about the vessel. Most recently, I spoke with someone by the name of. ******* via telephone who assured me she would place a work order (2nd work order *** requested in a month) and that she would call me to confirm that same day. She did neither. I have not been contacted at all. As far as I know, there is no vessel for my mothers gravesite, despite multiple requests made by myself and her siblings. We are extremely disappointed in the neglectful practices by Green Acres. It is disheartening to look around at other gravesites with flowers and we are unable to do so. Additionally, the grass is infested with large ants, adding to the negative experience we endure visiting her grave. It is our hope that Green Acres will not continue to breach the contract we hold with them by neglecting gravesite we purchased. We have multiple family members buried there. I referred an aunt after the burial of my mother, earning them more undeserved business. If this is not resolved by end of month, I will let all my followers and clients know about their dismal business practices. I apologize that you have not received an adequate response to your concern over the flower vase not being installed on your Mother's site. I went out to verify that there was in fact no vase installed, I also verified that vase had been previously ordered. Unfortunately I am unable to address the communication concern with the person you have identified as ******* as we do not have an employee by that name physically at the location. I do want to assure you that I have spoken with my superintendent and have ordered a vase installation immediately which was installed today. I have attached a photo for your review. May 12th, 2024- Loved one- *************************** Today, my family and I went to visit my fathers grave and Green Acres in ***********. His WHOLE headstone plaque was sunken under grass; couldnt even see it. A couple months ago we also visited the office in regards to them cleaning it up AND raising the plaque, which apparently has not been done. It is HIGHLY disrespectful to not only the passed, but to the family who paid such an amount of money on service that your business doesnt uphold. Please clean the area, along with raising the plaque. Do better for the future of clients that bring you business.Business Response

In Response to complaint. This is a duplicate complaint submitted minutes apart from the same family. Please see Case# ******** for reference. Green Acres Memorial Park inspected the burial site for the consumer as requested. The site has been maintained within the published maintenance standards and at the time of inspection with regular weekly maintenance seems in well maintained condition having been mowed and trimmed around the headstone as was the requested resolution of the consumer. Please see attached photo of site for a visual. The consumer is always welcomed to request a Service Request form for their loved ones site if they feel it needs any special attention in the future and we will accommodate within the published maintenance standards.

I am rejecting this response because: The tombstone had been cleaned and trimmed by my own family, not the business. My partner went on Fathers day (06-16-2024) and cleaned, trimmed, and maintained my fathers tombstone. *** added pictures of how it looked once he arrived, and how he then left it. No response was ever heard from the company in regards to when the compliant was first submitted, until after we had already done something about it.Business Response

I apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I am not quite sure when your photos were taken but when I visited the site after the notification, the grave was found in a trimmed and cleaned state along wit others surrounding the site. If your photos were taken following a non-mow week that *** account for some over growth especially during spring/summer time. Our park is on a maintenance contract with a nationally recognized maintenance company and the Cemetery is mowed once a week and Grave Markers are edged every three to four weeks regularly. This is consistent with the maintenance standards that are available in print in our lobby to the families we serve. In addition, if there is ever a time when your loved ones site *** need additional attention, you are always welcome to submit a service request form in our lobby and we will address the request usually within 10 business days.

I purchased some Cemetery lots at this Green Acres Memorial Park I finished paying them off in January if 2023 I've been asking for the deed for this property stating that I own this property so for the day I pass my kids will have this paperwork I've been requesting it since January and we're already July I've made several calls to them I've text many of their workers there to ask them where my paperwork's at and there's just giving me the runaround they keep telling me Oh in 2 weeks 2 weeks will here we are July of 2023 and I haven't received nothing if they don't want to deal with me and help me get my paperwork then I feel they should just refund me my money and I will take my business somewhere else because they give poor business to people and they just give them the runaround and excuses and I don't have time to be dealing with this kind of matter I want my money back because it seem they don't want to help me they Aint doing anything about this matterBusiness Response

In Response to complaint. Green Acres Memorial Park Processed and produced the Interment Rite Deed for the consumer on 3-6-2023. All deeds are able to be picked up at the front desk when requested in advance. It is unfortunate that the consumer chose to rely on text messaging employees who were unable to assist. The best method would have been to contact by phone our administration department request the deed and pick it up. I am positive that this is what eventually transpired as the deed was printed at the request of someone. The Deed was still in our possession as of 9-20-2023 when it was officially mailed out to the consumer as requested. The consumer is in possession of the deed and the desired resolution of refund was not contractually allowed due to the fact that the deed itself is not the purchased product. The burial right remains the asset of the consumer. We are confident that matter was addressed fully and expeditiously and met the final expectations of the consumer.

I am rejecting this response because: I reject to the decision because they're lying about my deed I'm still waiting for ID I've been calling over there I've been talking and texting representatives and I still don't have a deed to the property I own there that's why I want to refund because I'm unhappy with their services if I wouldn't know and it was going to be like this I would never purchase any property from them they're sloppy at their work I've talked to ************'ve talked to her ************'ve talked to two other representatives and everybody says they're going to get me a deed and I'm still waiting and I have the text messages and phone messages from them so they're lying on their half of this situation that's why I would like to be refunded my money so I can go somewhere else where I will be happyBusiness Response

The Deed was mailed out and if the consumer did not receive it or it has been misplaced, we are more than happy to print her a new copy but would simply ask that she sets an appointment to come in so that we can have it ready for her in advance. I'm a sorry that she feels that we are being deceitful but we will not refund the purchase. She did not purchase deed, she purchased a right and that right is and has been in full effect since the purchase.

On 8-5-2022 my husband ********** ******** passed away . I went into Green Acres cemetery bloomington office ###-###-#### made arrangements with ******* for my husbands funeral arrangments account33-450269. I finalized every thing on 9/6/2022. turned in the pictures for the headstone and layout. I signed and finalized aproved the layout on sep.5,2022. they continue to delay and losse my paper work saying they dont have anything on file and its going to take between 4weeks to 3 months. Nine months later and no headstone . I have spoken to *******, ******, *******, ***** the manager and ******. I have filed a complaint with their corprate office Dignity Memorial ###-###-#### and spoken with ****, ***, ****** But I still cant get a response on what happend to my husbands headstone or when it will be finished and installed. In Response to the inquiry dated 5/23/2023. Green Acres Memorial Park addressed this concern with the consumer and per consumers desired resolution, Green Acres Memorial Park rushed installation of family marker which was installed on 5/31/2023. I believe there may have been a misunderstanding about the timeline of the marker delivery as the consumer stated 4 weeks was quoted which is unheard of for marker delivery at our facility. The usual timeline is 3 -8 months. This depends on several factors such as size of marker, color of granite, and supply chain availability. We have met all contractual obligations to this family and we are resolute to the fact that they were handled in a professional and timely manner despite the misconception of the timeline.

June 17 we laid my father to rest, his urn was to supposed to be engraved with his name along with his birth year and wasn’t. When the cemetery was notified of the mistake it was met with a collective shrug. They simply stated it was part of a package that was prepayed and nothing can be done

Thank You for your email. We do not, and have never charged for the engraving of an urn. It is done as a courtesy upon family's purchase of an urn from us, and only if requested. If the cemetery had been notified before Inurnment about the inscription not being present; the decedent wouldn't have been laid to rest without the permission of the Next Of Kin. We simply would not have shrugged it off, as it is a process to dis-inurn and correct an issue like what has been described. If the family would like to pay for a dis-inurnment, we would be happy to order a new urn inscribed and transfer their loved ones remains for a re-inurnment.
