      Total JOKE of a company. Will refuse to provide any custowm service and useless with claims. I've been with mercury for 6 years and the one claim I've had has been a disaster! I've had a claim open for almost a year and mercury has paid out less for rebuild than mitigation. ***** ***** my adjuster is incompetent and recently failed to reply within the 15 business days that the law requires. Her supervisor **** ******* is just as useless and has refused to intervene and help close out this claim. I'm sick and tired of this loser company and would recommend anyone RUN as far as you can from Mercury.

      Terrible company ... does surprise visits to your home and makes ridiculous judgements about your property. No thanks ... it is just not worth it!

      Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have repeatedly reached out to my agent and did not hear anything back. My auto insurance rates have gone up approximately $1000 with no at fault claims. They literally told me their BOD had a meeting and decided to raise rates because they could. They also raised my home owners insurance premiums as well as my roof deductible. The roof deductible was raised from my $1000 deductible to over $11,****** agent never calls when requested. I never hear anything unless I press them for information. They have been an absolutely abhorrent company with poor customer service. They only reason they reached out was because I left a scathing but truthful review. Absolutely disgusting and abhorrent service.

      Mercury insurance wanted to up my monthly auto payment from $164.55 to $493.00 because of a small collision claim they had to pay out $925.00. They are a rip off.

      I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the roadside assistance service I received tonight. This was an incredibly distressing experience for my daughter and me, and I am seeking immediate resolution.While driving, a rod hit my tire and punctured it, leaving us stranded. I pulled over to the side of the road and promptly called roadside assistance for help. I was informed that a tow truck would arrive within 45 minutes. However, this was far from what actually happened:1.After 45 minutes, the tow truck had not arrived. I called again and was told it would be another 20 minutes, closer to 8:00 PM.2.Still, no one showed up. I called again multiple times, but the calls went straight to voicemail with no return calls.3.I reached out to the insurance agent for help, hoping they could resolve the issue. Instead of assistance, I was told they could do nothing and even suggested canceling the ********** this point, I had been waiting three hours in the cold, with a small child, and still no tow truck arrived. Left with no other choice, I called an **** to take us home, leaving my car stranded on the side of the road.This was not only inconvenient but also dangerous. Throughout this ordeal, there was no apology, no follow-up, and no resolution. This is unacceptable, and I am requesting an immediate investigation and resolution to this ********* car remains on the side of the road, and I expect a prompt response and assistance to address the situation. Additionally, I would like to know how you plan to prevent such incidents in the future and how you intend to compensate for this awful experience.

      We were approved for insurance prior to Hurricane season, literally moved in a week before ****** hit. We were not even in disaster zone and they dropped us ONE MONTH AFTER APPROVING US sighting our 7 year old roof was too old.We did not file a claim or anything, as we call around other agents tell us insurance is doing anything to get out of protecting houses. UNBELIEVEABLE

      My car was hit by the 16 year-old kid of the policy holder. She said "I didn't see you! I didn't see you!". The night of the accident, the dad came to where we live to beg us not to file with insurance, but did not offer to pay for damages and rental car. When we said we were going to seek compensation through his insurance he got agitated stating that he would have the other kids in the car at the time of the accident "get their stories straight". I have filed a police report and a report with my insurance that both demonstrate the other driver is at fault and Mercury needs to pay for repairs and car rental.I also have photographs of damage to both cars which prove the fault is with Mercury's insured. I look forward to having the California Department of Insurance investigate Mercury for denying a valid claim in bad faith.

      Horrible company! My insurance rate went up $97 at renewal it was originally 253 for a full coverage and renewal time when I called yesterday it was $350 a month when I called I asked for an explanation. I have nothing on my driving record in the last five years and I took the driving course and the explanation I got was well insurance companies raised all across-the-board, but theres no way that mine should be that high and theres no way they raise it $97. I understand a couple of dollars even $20 but almost $100 I then went to ***** to get a quote and I spoke to someone online. They checked my credit and they checked my driving record everything checked out good and my monthly payment through them was $98 a month for full coverage. They told me that they are over charging given my driving history

      I paid my auto insurance 3 weeks before it was due. I used AUTO PAY. They cancelled my auto insurance on the day it was due because they said it hadn't been paid. I showed them my CONFIRMATION that I enrolled in auto pay 3 weeks prior. They said that auto pay takes a month to activate. No alerts, no emails, no snail mail, no phone calls from my agent telling me I was NOT insured. I had been with them for over 20 years. I drove for 2 months without insurance before I found out I had not paid. I'm getting fines from the *** and my lending bank. DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. I can only imagine what would have happened had I been in an accident. It could have ruined me financially. And, yes, we are working with a lawyer to resolve.

      Insurance agent suggested Mercury insurance to save us money. However it essentially set to be a legal scam. They take that initial higher payment and then promise lower payments after. Yet what they did was, waited until just before the deadline to deny coverage (90 days). Then sent me a letter in the mail stating that they were going to drop coverage on the 90th day because... well for me it was stating that in the photos I sent to them of my houses siding on the addition it "looked indicative of asbestos siding". They will not cover asbestos. Which would be understandable except the siding for the addition was done in the 90's with Cement Fiber shingles, which look identical to the asbestos cement shingles. I asked what they would accept as evidence of them being asbestos free and would they still cover me. They said yes if I could prove it with a certified test. So I sent in a certified sample, and they said no it had to be a certified inspector stating it was not asbestos. Well just so happens when I purchased the home I had a certified inspector checking my home for lead, asbestos and mold. For my FHA and for my own peace of mind sense I had a new born. He listed the siding in question as Cement Fiber no asbestos found. They said they would have to review the inspection. I sent it to them. They asked for a week, I never heard back so I contacted them again and they said they wouldn't accept that inspection, I'd need a new one solely focused on something the old one had covered. They were just running the clock out, they also will not contact you in a timely matter. I've heard multiple stories now of the same 90 day drop after promising lower payments. Its a legal scam and they should be sued. Obviously anyone shopping that cheap cant afford a lawyer so they win. Don't do it.
