      Would give a minus 10 if I could. Canceled 1 month ago. Won't let me turn off auto pay. They didn't submit cancelation request or refund my money . Wasn't even told I had to do a home inspection when I signed up. Just told all was done and good to go. Con artists

      A friend of mine is having the worst year long experience with getting his kitchen fixed by Mercury insurance who still have not worked on his kitchen, theyre forcing him to live in mold that continues to spread, they keep giving lower and lower estimates to fix the kitchen as the mold spreads and if his health decreases with being forced to eat out every day and living in black mold and different colored mold, then good luck dealing with the medical lawsuit on top of the insurance fraud lawsuit. I cant wait for my friend to take away his business and many properties insured by this horrible company.

      My credit card on file expired and didn't know Received a letter via snail mail talking about reinstating my policy Called up to pay with new credit card and same number but different expiration date Now on my permanent record is a lapse in coverage which gets reported to the dmv and on my record After I gave my new payment info I received an email confirmation 5 seconds later. Question Why would they have not sent an email prior to canceling me to update my cc to avoid this hassle?Every other bill i pay is all electronic I believe the dmv will be charging me 250 per car as a penalty and may have to go to the dmv to deal with it. Seems pretty behind the times. Happy to take this review down if mercury compensates me for the unnecessary charges. Hope this review helps others!

      I had a car accident on July 25th when I called mercury they said they can't verify my policy even though I have a copy of my policy and insurance card they finally located my policy 3 days later I get a call asking where my car is I said I don't know you picked it up from the tow place I still have not received payment for my totaled car it is now August 17th everytime I call I get a voice mail I do not have rental car insurance I need to buy a car

      I was involved in an accident in April this year. The other party was recognized as 100% at fault and carried Mercury, and given that finances are a little tight I chose to use their insurance to paying my deductible with State Farm.It took a couple weeks for me to hear from Mercury. They did handle my injury claims fast, though, but that was the only positive I can say.Overall, though, it took approximately 3 months to get my case "resolved," and it was a headache to the very end. To cut it short, my car had been at the shop for several weeks with no communication from Mercury. I attempted to contact my rep only to find that she had "gone on vacation" and I was never notified nor given another point of contact. I tried for DAYS, being transferred to her supervisor's line and leaving several messages to no avail. By this point, I just called the shop and told them the situation mostly to see if they had any people they could contact, and they told me that my car was deemed a total the week before - they weren't supposed to tell me this, but they did me a favor and were more honest than Mercury.After finally getting contact with someone and letting them know I was notified of the total, they got back to me eventually. The claims rep called me at 4:50 PM, rushed through the details and didn't give me an opportunity to ask ANY questions.Ultimately, Mercury claimed that they "do not buy totals out directly" so they would be getting me money, but minus a fee to put it under salvage, and it would all be on me. I would have to get it towed from the shop and would "have the option to sell it on [my] own." Neither I or anyone I know have ever heard of anyone doing this. I am incredibly confident that this was a lie and an attempt to rip me off. The auto shop had never even heard of Mercury doing this, and agreed that this was very shady. I transferred this to my insurance, State Farm, and they handled it quickly and professionally.Do not trust Mercury. Period.

      mercury insurance...all is well, until you need them on your side, i absolutly warn people against using their direct repair auto body shop...i took my car in 10 months ago to macleans in ********************, they still havent fixed the front bumper that was damaged in a minor collision....my (and many) policy dosent offer rental vehicle so ive had to buy another car, the excuses the insurance company offers are ridiculous...i give my customer service and overall experience with mecury a negative 10 star rating....never use dirct repair...that shop works for mercury , not you
