      SquareTrade (aka AllState Protection Plans) in general is a good experience. However, you need to save your receipt. I recently filed a claim for my printer which fortunately, I still had my digital receipt in my e-mail box. However, what if I wasn't that tech savvy? Nonetheless, I uploaded my receipt details into the system and started my claim. I received a shipping label and sent my printer immediately to be evaluated. I had a printhead failure and no matter the amount of cleanings, nothing would work. Just three business days after receiving my printer, they determined fixing it was not viable. They e-mailed me that a store gift card would be mailed to me in a few days, which I will use to replace my printer at the store. I am so glad I had this protection plan because otherwise, I would have been stuck with an over two hundred dollar paperweight. Other than the hassle of needing to retrieve my receipt, despite initially registering my coverage, I am content with the service so far. Warning, though. You can't call them. They now exclusively handle their claims online and you have to do an online chat. Other than that, I am content so far. Thanks, AllState.

      I purchased a ** protection plan December 21, 2020 in the amount of $359. And I in August 2022 I found a claim stating that the ** no longer produced a picture. After almost 2 weeks of a series of phone calls and pictures submitted to Allstate my claim was finally paid. However the full purchase price of the ** was not refunded. Plan stated that the ** was to be replaced or refund him out of the purchase would be provided. Again the amount of the ** was $359. Its silly the amount Allstate sent me a check for $330.39. I contacted them as to the difference in the amount it was told that the reduced amount provided me the luxury of not having to return the **. I stated that nowhere in the contract does it say that there is a pro rata or reduced amount to be paid . Yes, the amount is small but appears that this would be significant if it is based among several hundred or thousand such claims. I asked to be reimbursed for the difference.
