      The mortgage refinance process with SWMC was absolutely the most stressful experience I have ever encountered. SWMC was suggested via CreditKarma for a mortgage refi. Starting with an acceptance of a 15 year refi @ ****%, then going through a weeks long period not being able to reach anyone at SWMC for status updates (ghosting), going through 3 loan officers with no explanation and then at the 11th hour (appx 3 months later) and only after leaving bad reviews on their website, I finally get a call back from the 3rd loan officer. I was told she had been out on vacation for 2 weeks and still catching up. The previous officer was out sick for over 2 weeks, so no one was working on my application during this time. I was then told the original lock rate of ****% had expired and the cost of the terms was too high so I would have to change the loan terms. By now, my resources were completely diminished so I couldn't conceivably go through another loan app process with another lender. I was desperate and essentially feel I was forced to accept any terms SWMC threw at me. I still have to call from a different phone # to mask my identity or they won't answer. They always call me from a different phone #. I ended up with a 30-yr refi w/ a much higher rate and still had to pay additional out of pocket costs to extend the original lock rate and to change the terms. It appears SWMC regularly does this to unsuspecting loan applicants. SWMC was supposed to be paying the hazard insurance premium as part of my loan terms. I received notices from my insurance carrier that my premium payments were not being made. It took days to straighten that out. I am concerned SWMC is not paying the property taxes as they are supposed to. I do not have any confidence at all SWMC will handle my mortgage properly. I was fortunate enough to have friends and family to assist me getting by during this time and I did not have to declare bankruptcy and lose my home I have lived in since March ****.

      I called this morning to get clarification on my payment and understanding of my mortgage. **** was so helpful in breaking down each part of my mortgage payment. He was extremely kind and took the time out to explain the information thoroughly to me. I really appreciated his kindness especially since it was a call first thing in the morning.

      SunWest Mortgage is an awesome company, great customer service, and available to help their customers when they need help. I refinanced from premier mortgage and they were terrible (waiting on hold for hours, messing up my payments). I am so happy now to have SunWest mortgage and know that if an issue arises I can call and someone helpful and kind will be there and I will not have to wait on hold for hours to get through. Thank you SunWest Mortgage for being an amazing company!!!
