      Horrible working experience here! I was fried by the Disctrict Manager ****** after I kept filing complaints about their retaliation against me to the Regional Director ************************** and received no help. They both condone this type of behavior from their staff and have no problems lying to get people fired when bringing up unjust behavior and favoritism. They lie and lie! Ill get my justice soon! Horrible people and horrible company

      They lie about their sales. Many of their items state 50% off but then are only 30% off. Also, the product I wanted to buy was $39.99 on sale it would be ***** (30% off is what the website claimed.) When I applied a coupon for 25% off it took the 30% off site wide. The product was still $***** with 25% off instead of 30. Another product states 50% off this product yet when you click on the product its only 30% off!

      Ordered 5 valuable items that are highly sought after and after a month of waiting for my package, I decided to call Hot topic to see whats going on with my order. Not only did they not call me to tell me my package was lost but they had me wait for my refund and was not trying to solve the problem. They did not want to do an investigation to find my package. They definitely stole my package due to the value of the items. This business is a scam and will steal from the customers and say the package is lost. This is not the first time this has happened and it only happens with highly sought items.

      Everytime I have ever made any payment on my account, it has been paid in full. Well over a $100. Then a week not two later I get a bill saying I owe $2.00 and this last time it was literally .6 and they sent me a check for that amount. Like what a waste of paper and time. I flat out said close the account Im done with this ******** and they sent me a letter saying its closed but now I owe $3.00 for interest on a closed account. I will always ALWAYS let everyone know not to choose Hot Topic and that they practice unfair policies.!

      Ordered item for my grandson for Christmas. No problem with item received. Actually bought two different sizes. Went to the brick and mortar to return one- no problem! The website has NO OPTION to unsubscribe!! Was forced to contact customer service who informed me they had no authority to stop em. They ( customer service) had to take my information down and pass it to the marketing department. Then they had the nerve to send me a customer service survey!! I am still receiving UNWANTED communications from Hot Topic!!

      The lie to the employee all the time. If you work there you will never have a life. They try to control you out side of work they tell you who you can and can not hangout out side of work. They tell you that this job comes first over your family and your life. I would put 0 stars on here that is how bad that place is.

      They are rude and do not care about the consumer. I ordered something and did not receive any updates so I called customer service. I was told by then to speak to the store rep I let the agent know that I have already done so and the next day I get an email saying it was ready for pick up so I went to the store and had to wait for an hour and a half to be told the item is not there and to call customer service. Now the store associates were nice but customer service and their supervisor on duty were very rude and said oh well the item is lost we can refund it or resend it as if I received the first one and gas is free. My time is important to me and ************************************************************************* well and so what if it were a gift. Then I never received the email confirming the refund. I will be returning all items I recently bought there and they lost a customer.

      Item that was on backorder for 2+ months (one item out of 9 items) . Hot Topic has placed a hold on monies for the item every few weeks as if they were going to ship the item. Today they decided to place a hold for the full cost of the 9 items instead of just the cost of the item I have been waiting for.Called customer service where the response was too bad, so sad there is nothing that can be done. The item hasn't shipped, but may have been placed into a bag at the warehouse, so they can hold the money. The "manager" named ****** just kept repeating that there was nothing that could be done since it was the end of the day (call started at 3pm, business hours show until 5pm) and that he understood it was an inconvenience to have your money tied up on a pending charge, but he could not fix it. He could send an email to the department that is in charge of placing the hold, but no guarantee they would look at the email before close of business.I asked to have the order cancelled since it had not shipped, but that was not possible because it might have been placed in a bag to prepare to ship at some point in the future and, again, it is the end of the day and he could not guarantee anyone would actually read the email.Seeing that this company is no longer accredited by the BBB and holds an F rating is not surprising after this interaction.

      Since 2020, I have placed 6 orders online. Of those 6 orders, only 2 have successfully ever been completed. 1 was an order for the store to grab and put the items aside.. they cancelled all but one of the items though. The other was a ship to store of one item that was successful. Otherwise, my experience with the other 4 has all been the same. I get no emails or communication about the order. I only find out that it got cancelled because I logged in to check, or PayPal informs me I received a refund. They allow more orders for items than they should. This last order was placed early September. I am just finding out at the end of September that they cancelled it cause they couldn't fulfill it. Why is it taking that long to fulfil an order? Why aren't you updating me and making me jump through hoops to find out what happened? And Why. Does. This. Keep. Happening?!If my luck with Hot Topic says anything so far, it's that I should definitely never try my chances at playing the lottery.. cause I am neither lucky enough or valued enough to ever get my order.

      As soon asI walked in I felt sick to my stomach. ***** the cashier was very aggressive RUDE and pushy! I have been a FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS for over 20 years! Every other Hot Topics I have shopped at has always accepted my husbands Disabled Veteran ID as a military discount. ***** said she can only accept active duty if for a military discount. This upset me also. No respect. I did buy the sweater here only because this was the only store that had it in my size.
