I want to say hired but Mr ********************** office took on my ss disability case in December 2023. I was pleased about this because my dear close friend had used his office with good results with a whole lot of help from his sister doing a bunch leg work. So I was willing to do leg work as much as I could in my condition. Time went by I emailed multiple documents to ********************** office to help best I could and spoke to multiple people at his office asking could I get update when could I speak with any attorney I had many questions and I sent over a copy of letter I received from social security stating any further questions would be directed to ********************** office. Then couple weeks ago I get message from his office stating my case closed stating his office could not get in touch with me. Really??? Then I received 3 phone calls I. 7 days asking if I wanted to reopen my case and of course I said yes so the last call I received I asked lady does ********************** know his staff has called me 3 times asking same thing?? She acted very mad tell in her voice but I was very serious so next thing I know I receive letter via email that after looking at the case again he would not be taking my case. What??? Cause I dared ask if he knew if I dared to speak to a lawyer?? What?? I have say I grew up in ** with a close friend whos father was a lawyer and a judge and I used him quite a few times before I moved to ca and first his office over the top professional cared greatly about his clients and I always spoke to him personally so I went ahead and agreed to let ********************** represent me bc of my friend but just because I dared ask a question his office suddenly drop my case. I am so disappointed that his office staff does this kind of thing. What happened to communication great customer service no retaliation for having a brain. So upset that any attorney offfce would condone such conduct knowing peoples lives depend on him and his staff!!Business Response

******************* contacted my office seeking assistance for an active claim she initiated with the ******************************* After accepting the claimant's case on January 29, 2024, my office received a notice dated February 26, 2024, from the assigned ****************************** (***) office. This notice indicates that we are now listed as ******************* representative in her claim, per the ***'s notice. My office attempted to communicate with *************** when she contacted us, but we could not speak with her on several occasions and left voice messages. We also communicated through text messages, and *************** actively communicated with us, requesting to speak with us.
On April 9, 2024, the *** office informed us that her claim was closed on January 30, 2024, because the *** office was unable to contact her on the following dates: December 15, 2023, December 26, 2023, and January 16, 2024, to discuss her claim. This information was shared with ***************, and we notified her that our next option is to file a new application. *************** agreed and signed another retainer contract on April 22, 2024, with my office. On April 23, 2024, my office filed her new claim with the assigned *** office, and we continue to represent *************** with her case.
As explained above, my office has made every effort to communicate with ***************. The *** office decided to close her case before my office represented her and the claim she initiated herself.

This law office failed to be accountable to me (client) and do what is required upon hire of their representatives **** would NOT recommend this firm to anyone!Not only do they not do their jobs to guide a client. Many medical problems been in the hospital for year after year and hes been Bill Latour has been handling my case as my attorney for Social Security and nobody can help me or answer my questions when I call nobodys there to call me back, so how do I pay someone thats not working for me when I need helpBusiness Response

How you doing my name is Albin Harden I'm here to file a complain against discrimination just because I'm on parole and I have restrictions and I've been on parole for 3 years now and I've been filing for SSI benefits for my bipolar schizophrenia mood swings and your flares antisocial anger outbursts and for my mental health State of mind I was victimized when I was 5 years old and I'm trying to receive the help that I need for my mental health I was told to file for SSI with my health advocates I was denied three times so I reached out to **** ****** to help me and the associates that work for **** ****** are here denying me the hope I need to get approved for my SSI just because I'm on parole and not just that I've been filing appeals for my SSI for about three to four years and now I have to wait to get off parole for me to get the help I need to get approved for my SSI benefits that's kind of wrong knowing that I met people that were on probation and on parole that was helped by **** ****** for them to get approved for their SSI benefits I feel discriminated and disappointed on people that trying to help people that really need the help they need to get their SSI benefits approved and for everything to end up blowing up in my face telling me they're not going to be able to help me because I'm on parole with restrictions and they got a policy and they got to follow the policy that doesn't make no sense how is it that I've been filing for my SSI with my health advocates on parole and And these law firms for the SSI benefits approval deny help just because I'm on parole with restrictions I really think that's kind of false advertisement when saying that you going to help people out but just because one little thing that ends up being a road block for everybody honestly this is not what I ever expected to come across and honestly this is not right thing to do I never expected to get denied help because I'm on parole this is not KoolBusiness Response

I have sent documents to this copany and they have closed my case without letting me know why. And they dont response to phone calls. Last thing i was told was that i had a hearing pending. My office does periodic reviews of all our current cases. In some situations, we determine, based on the facts and evidence, that we will be unable to help a given client. That is what happened in Mr. H******* case. Mr. H***** was provided with an attorney referral number to obtain further attorney representation if he chose to do so. In addition, we waived any fees in his case. My office has returned several calls but has not been successful in speaking with Mr. H***** and has only been able to leave a voice message.

I retained attorney **** ****** June 2021 to represent me for my SSDI claim. I have provided all requested documents, release of records in order for the office to acquire my medical records. My case was denied, the appeal was denied, and I had a hearing by phone with an attorney from the office of **** ****** and Judge **** A. ******* on 1/12/2023. At the trial the judge mention he had not received my medical records and requested from the attorney that he get them to decide my case. I contacted the office after the hearing by text (because they do not answer the phone) and I have not received any communication back. Today 3/12/2023 I received a letter from the judge that reads he “held the record open subsequent to the hearing for the above referenced claimant so that you could submit additional evidence. You neither submitted such evidence nor sent a request for more time.” I emailed signed release of records to **** Latour’s office on multiple occasions and confirmed they received them. I have 10 days from the date of the letter (3-8-2023) to provide records or request additional time to provide records before the judge renders his decision based on the available evidence. I do not know what evidence the court ever received. I have requested a call back from **** LaTour’s office multiple times with no response. My attorney from **** & ********** informed me that they sent **** Latour’s office medical records on multiple occasions and offered to resend them to help with my case. I have been unable to work since July 2020 and have been working on this case for a year and 9 months. After the hearing on 1/12/23 I have not heard from **** a Latour’s office since my trial. I was informed to communicate by text but they have stopped responding. I need to know if they have the records to send to the judge or if they are going to request for an extension to acquire the records for submission so the judge can make an informed decision.Business Response

Unfortunately, the Social Security Hearing Office failed to properly identify the phone number that was provided in advance for the attorney attending her telephonic hearing. As a result, there was nothing my office could have done to prevent this situation. Her hearing is to be rescheduled at a later date.

We have been able to speak with Ms. ****** and explained the documents reflecting the attorney's contact information were submitted a week before her hearing. However, the Office of Hearing Operations should have called the attorney, given the document with his phone number was in the record of the case file. At this time, we will continue to help her obtain her Social Security benefits.
