We have lived at Countrywood Estates for nearly 5 years and never had issues there in the past. I'm not sure exactly when, I believe, nearly 1 1/2 years ago they brought in new mgmt. and since then we have felt completely harassed. She constantly comes onto the property ( I get the land belongs to the owners), but she walks around, front yard, back yard, sides, whenever she feels like. She is always asking questions, feels more like an interrogation (she asks about other property owners), she takes pictures. She gives us info and the next thing we know, we are receiving a letter containing different info. She has trouble keeping her stories straight. The letters we receive are normally warnings about infractions that she deems are unacceptable. There are bushes that run behind our house and 2 other houses (and the neighbors behind us, a total of 6 homes) We were told when we moved in that they are not ours. There are sprinklers owned by the owners under the bushes and the owners have have always had the bushes cut. She has now told us that they are our bushes and we will be charged hundreds of dollars if we do not cut them down to her specifications. She has handed out like letters to other homes. Therefore charging all of us to have their maintenance crew do the cutting. Less than 2 weeks ago we were told that some other bushes on the property were an acceptable size and last week we received a bill for over $500.00 if they are not handled in the next 14 days. Those are just a couple issues, we have complied with any previous notices, they are beginning to feel like harassment and we would like it to stop. There are Many more people at the park who are feeling the same, but to afraid to come forward due to feeling targeted by her.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/18/2024

Good afternoon, This is in response to the complaint regarding ****************. We have reached out to **************** via email and explained to him the situation regarding the ****** on his space. Below is a copy of that response.

We understand **************** is concerned about the property manager being on his space, taking pictures and conducting space inspections. I would like to reiterate, **************** lives in a mobilehome community that has specific rules and regulations and one of the onsite managers many duties is to enforce the rules and issue notices if necessary. As the property manager, ******** not only has the right to enter the space to perform inspections, it is also one of her job duties.

Upper Management works closely with the onsite managers to make sure rules are being enforced and residents are being treated fairly and respected. Our residents living enjoyment in our community is important to us and we take pride in maintaining a clean and pleasant community and this includes making sure all tenants are following the community guidelines. We promote open communication will all tenants, and we will make sure to obtain a fair resolution for this particular matter.

We have been informed that as of July 18th. **************** has complied with his obligation to trim his landscape and we are pleases to close this matter. Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any further questions.

Thank you for your time. ***************************, Reg. Mgr. for Countrywood Estates

Dear *****,Thank you for bringing your concerns regarding the ****** behind your mobilehome to our attention. We have thoroughly reviewed the situation and want to provide you with clarification.Upon personally inspecting the lot markers, which are indicated by white PVC pipes, we have recently painted them red for better visibility. Based on this inspection, we have confirmed that the ****** in question lie within the boundaries of your lot. As such, it is your responsibility to maintain these ******.Regarding your mention of historical maintenance practices, we acknowledge that in the past, the park may have irrigated this area as a courtesy. Additionally, our maintenance team may have trimmed these ****** on one or two occasions when they became excessively large due to the lack of homeowner attention. This was done as a courtesy because prior management did not issue notices to homeowners regarding hedge maintenance. However, these actions were intended to assist temporarily, and it remains the homeowners responsibility to maintain the ****** thereafter. On May 18, 2023, a notice was issued to all residents informing them that due to irrigation lines potentially causing property damage and liability concerns, this courtesy would be discontinued. Subsequently, the irrigation lines are not in service and have been gradually removed. Now the ****** appear to have grown again, we must reiterate that their upkeep falls under your responsibility, not the park's. We kindly request that you trim them down.We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.Sincerely,Upper Management for Countrywood Estates

I am rejecting this response because:

Although we do appreciate the response from Countrywood Estates and their willingness to find a solution, we would still like to keep this case open until we have the meeting with them. We want to ensure that the ongoing problems are resolved, and won’t close the case until that goal is achieved. we need to hire professionals we can’t afford that she approves of. We have friends who can help us, since they are anything big that requires a contractor and would be economical for us, but she insists on us hiring someone when it’s a simple job. We also have a household member who has a chronic disease, so all the stress the manager has put us through has been affecting his condition. The manager has become so insufferable that even when we have told her to stop taking pictures of our home without our consent she refuses to do so, although in our contract it does not state that she is allowed to do this. We also feel as though she is discriminating against us due to our religion, for she has not been sending any papers or notifications to our neighbors despite the fact that their spaces are in bad conditions and are clearly violating some of the rules and regulations. She also treated of our friends and former neighbors the same way, being as she is from the same religion as us.
