    Re: Minka Aire Skinnie 56-in Black Integrated LED Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Light and Remote (3-Blade)Minka Group advertises this fan with a CFM of 8037. There is no way it moves this much air. My indoor 44" *************************** fans, with a CFM of about 3000, feel twice as strong as this Minka Aire fan. My floor fan felt stronger. Minka Aire technical support told me they have no way of measuring the actual CFM I am getting from my fan. ******* told me the *** of the blades is more indicative of the power of a fan than the **** which I believe is untrue. WHAT. A. RIPOFF.Lowes tells me I can return this piece of ****, so I will be refunded for the fan. But I have to pay my contractor again to come out and take down the old fan and put up the Hunter replacement I have ordered.

    Horrible. We spent hundreds of dollars on two LED Minka-Lavery sconces years ago. The specification says they are "dimmable" but mentions no compatible dimmers, unlike other fixtures we've bought. We've spent hundreds more dollars buying several different dimmers and hiring electricians to try to get the sconces to work correctly, to no avail. They continue to illuminate when the switches are "off" and they flicker when they are on. I finally called Minka Group today. The first person I spoke to, in customer service, seemed to want to help but could only transfer me to the technical group. The woman there sounded bored and hostile from the get-go. Her first statement, when I said I was trying to find a compatible dimmer, was "we don't provide that information". She did volunteer to check for any notes she could find, then shortly returned to the phone and said (with no tone of concern or regret) she had nothing for me. Never asked me what problem we were having. Sorry to have ever gotten near this company. The fixture, btw, seems to have a Chinese company's name on it, so the quality and standards are suspect in any case. Be forewarned.

    I purchased a $1000 Gyro fan to replace a similar fan that failed after 3 yrs. The fan started making a noise after 24 hrs and the only option available from the Warranty and Tech support is for me to disassemble, install a new gear, reassemble and reinstall. This is unacceptable service for a fan that is less than one month old. Their literature does not specify that the consumer is responsible for fixing Minka aire's flaw and poor quality products. So essentially there is no warranty as advertised.

    Selling faulty fans under warranty and telling customers the seller must take care of the manufacturer warranty. They have told our customers the seller will do this and that they have a contract with their sellers, and they do not. When we try to contact this company on behalf of customers with faulty products, Minka either does not answer or displaces responsibility. If you are selling Minka products or have purchased them, it seems like a BBB complaint is the only way to get a resolution in a timely manner with any basic integrity. I do not recommend sale or purchase through this manufacturer at this time due to their unethical process and the rate at which faulty products are reported.
