Oh the early sunday morning of 7/9/23, my car was towed from a private apartment complex due to an expired permit that guests have to "renew" daily. Multiple permits have been used for my car over the last year and the tow company can see this. Naturally residents can forget to renew the pass over a weekend, and the tow company knows this and has access to the garage, and app which the permits are renewed. The total fees to retrieve my car, roughly 4 hours after it arrived at the tow yard, was $569.50. This includes a $333 tow fee, an $85 storage fee for a full day, and an $151.50 charge for a "gate fee," which is an extra fee imposed just to pick up your car on the weekend. They claim that they are "closed" during these hours, however their business is operating as usual towing cars of course, indicating that they are not in fact, closed.Obviously all the fees are exorbitant, but the "gate fee" and "storage fee" are outright unethical and inherently extortionate. They pretend to be "closed" to charge an extra $151.50 just to open a gate, and if I were to wait until monday to avoid the fee (knowing most people can't because of work) it would incur an additional $85 daily "storage fee." You are screwed both ways and they take advantage of this fact. It's the definition of a "junk fee." Additionally my hood was covered in grease. The entire practice is predatory, unethical, and gouging, holding your car ****** knowing most people can't even pay the fees to get their car. The resolution I would like is a reimbursement of the gate fee, and a pro-rated amount for the time (4 hours) it sat at the tow yard. In general tow companies need to be regulated from these predatory practices in the future.

This company is not acting within the **************** laws on towing. They are a predatory company with countless complaints. After our car was towed from our private residence, stating that we hadn't moved the car in 48 hours (which we had). The tow company never sent out notification of the tow nor contacted the police as they had no idea where the car was located. They are unwilling to provide pictures of the car sitting for more than the allotted time (required in our complex), towing authorization or towing fees and access notice. I reached out to the owner of the company who is asking for $1,400 to get the car out of their yard. Alternatively they're trying to extort $700 for ** to forfeit the title of the car under threat of law suite. They are unwilling to help and have found a legal loophole to steal cars, obtain ownership and resell the car at auction. Corrupt company, acting corruptly in a corrupt industry... Shame on you Southside, you trash dwellers.

On 11/25/22 at approx. 4:30am, a vehicle I was driving was towed from a friend's apartment complex. I retrieved the vehicle at approx. 1:00pm that same day and was told that there were additional gate fees incurred due to it being a state holiday. Total fees paid were $548.50. When I questioned the validity of their claim, they stated that they were able to claim state holiday because they had contracts with state agencies. However, no state agency had requested their services. They are falsely claiming (and illegally charging) customers based on a false premise.
