    Moore Mechanical was hired in December 2015 to install a new **** system. Due to the increase in size needed, the system was moved from inside our home to the garage. Fast forward to July 2022. As we move forward with our Solar install in September 2022, the company came out to inspect our roof and do some measurements. The gentleman that came to our home pointed out that our old furnace flue/vent that is on the roof was missing the cap and was exposing the insulation in the attic. I was very distraught knowing this as we had no idea. My husband is 71 years old, and we had no reason to go up on the roof. When you hire a top-rated company, pay top-rated prices, you expect an A+ job. I reached out to Moore Mechanical and spoke to *****. I stated no one has been on the roof and this must have been forgotten when the **** system was moved. She stated she would send her top rated service technician to investigate this, but quoted me a price of $125.00. I called her back and stated we had ****** pictures of our home, and we are pretty sure this was an oversight from the install. The top-rated service tech showed up today. After spending time with ***** explaining my concerns, we are asked "it looks like the wind blew it off, did your neighbors see the cap, someone must have touched it", etc. First, I would not call the company if we personally touched it, second, if my neighbors saw the cap, we would not have called, and I would accept responsibility for the issue as the wind must have blown it off. We also have a service contract with the company and have been working with them since 2016. The other comment was "don't worry about it, you will not have to pay for it - I will see if I can find a cap on my way home". Is this the conversation you would expect to receive? We have referred this company to neighbors and family members, one who did sign a contract with them earlier this year. There are better ways of saying "we are not sure what happened".
