I had high hopes when I first went to Gentle Dental in WA. I spoke at length to a dentist in one of their offices about denture options. I knew I did not want the type that was kept in place with adhesive and that you had to take out daily. I was told about the permanent denture that was bolted in with posts and could only be removed in the dental office, one or twice a year for cleanings. I told them that what I wanted. No other type of denture was discussed. A treatment plan was generated that included the extraction of all my teeth, a temporary adhesive denture for the healing time frame only, then implant of the metal posts and permanent dentures bolted in. I was given tooth color to pick out and the extraction appointment was scheduled. The cost per treatment plan was approx $29k. I had every tooth in my mouth pulled out. I had multiple follow up appts in offices in Mount ******, Marysville, ********** and at every visit I talked about the permanent dentures. I was then called re: the appt to have the implants and the perm dentures. That was at the **************** At that appt, that's when the surgeon told me that the treatment plan was NOT for the dentures I was told about, but for a type that, while did include posts, was still removed daily. He said the type I wanted would cost much more than the quoted price. I immediately left that office and called the initial office. What followed was months of being passed ******* calls not being returned and basically left with no teeth and no real attempts at resolution. I did have one meeting with *******, who told me that they didn't have on staff the type of dentist that did that type of hybrid denture and that they would have to try and find someone to outsource it to but that the cost would have to be worked out. They misrepresented what they could do. They also charged me more than what my patient responsibility actually was per my insurance company and still have not refunded me. Beware of this dental office.

I visited Gentle Dental In Woburn Mass. First, I would like to say that the staff there (x-ray tech, receptionist, and dentist) were VERY nice. I haven't been to a dentists in years and they made my visit very comfortable. The reason for the 1 star review is that I paid $57 dollars that was supposed to cover x-rays, evaluation, recommended future services, AND a basic cleaning. I received everything except a basic cleaning. I stated that the $57 dollars was supposed to include a basic cleaning, however, I was told by the dentist that it was not appropriate since I required deep-scale cleaning ($1440!). I was told that the cost of a basic cleaning would be deducted from the cost of deep-scale cleaning. All I wanted was a basic cleaning. I found that the advertisement was very misleading as it stated that it would indeed cover the basic cleaning. I hope that gentle dental clarifies this on their website.
