  Home improvements not holding up..came out and said they would fix it but did nothing no follow up

  The contract with Pro Star Builders *** was signed on November 1, 2022 for landscaping using a drip line and rocks replacing a lawn. We had them put in 3 circles with ****** board and plants in those circles. We had installed plants with a bubbler line in front of the house and in front of the garage which we could turn on with a wand on an anti-siphon valve. We had 2 leaks in the bubbler line which they agreed to fix when they started the job. Instead of fixing the leak in front of the garage they took out that part of the bubbler line and replaced it with a drip line taking our 3 anti-siphon valves with them. They hired some people who apparently know nothing about gardening or what looks good in a yard. They removed some beautiful plants along our driveway, put in some fill dirt and a drip line and then planted evolulus flowering plants, five out of nine which died because the drip line was not set to water these plants. Their workers planted these plants next to the driveway instead of in the center of the 2 foot area alongside the driveway and as I said above their workers did not know what they doing to make the area look good. Then we had the rain and weeds came up so that many of the plants were not even visible and after they sent out a worker who pulled out many weeds we could see the dead plants. We paid the project manager $300.00 to buy the plants for us as I was sick and he wanted to get them in quickly. They put the remaining plants in front of the with the existing bubbler system on the same line as the drip line which was not satisfactory. Then they sent out 2 men who installed another valve so that we could have 2 stations - the drip line and the part of the bubbler line which is still there. But this new valve was not installed well and has a leak wasting water. The timer they put in the garage has a battery but it needed to be replaced once each year and in order to do that it had to be taken off of the wall.

  Highly recommend to read both negative and positive reviews on Yelp, BBB, and **************** Attorney General under CA ******************* to check license and complaints. Recommend to read case number N2022-212 dated 4/13/2023 in detail and with care (N two thousand twenty-two dash two one two). I had a bathroom remodel with ProStar to put in a new walk-in tub and expand the bathroom to full bath with new electrical panel upgrade. In general, this company receives 2 stars. I would detail the ratings as followed: price =2 stars (*********************** price is right). Project mgmt = 4 stars (good job w/ timing & coordinating subcontractors). Workmanship from subcontractors = 4 (beautiful ************* jobs, some can be messy or 2 stars for painting). Passing local building codes/inspection = 2 stars (we had 6 different ***************** Star quoted the ******************** price on a window tempered glass replacement to meet building code - where we got the job done w/ a local business for 1/6 fraction of the quote). Installation compliance to manufacturer = 1 star (the walk-in tub should be caulk with join surfaces in wet locations such as join to the floor, we had to do it ourselves afterward; the wall should have been stucco'ed to close the airflow to the furnace, we did ourselves afterward to improve airflow).I recommend to find multiple bidders for your projects with local providers who understands local city building codes. This company is in Encino & all their subcontractors on our projects were driving from ** to ********* area. Set a budget & stick to it, this company is very expensive, other reviews are not kidding about this. Having been through our project, I believe there's truth to all the negative ratings, too bad consumers like ** had that experience with this company. It's good that there were many success stories & happy endings. Well-wishing for your project & hope you don't come back with another negative review. Good luck.

  Pro Star Builders has been great!. I had the kitchen and living room floor done by **** and his team. They were quick and worked well. Very happy with the outcome. The cost was the most reasonable in town and their customer service is unbelievable! I am planning to change my bathrooms pretty soon and I would be going with them again for another project.

  I can't thank enough to Pro Star Builders and especially to Adri -my project manager. It was my first major remodeling in the house and I was a little nervous in the beginning, but they met me at my house for the consultation and I felt that there is someone to trust from the first moment. During the project they were always there and responsive to all of my family's questions, they shared a lot of photos and videos in our communication group and kept ** in the loop. I am IN LOVE with my new dream kitchen! Highly recommend to any of you like me that looking for a good company that you can trust to make the whole remodeling to a very exciting experience.

  Working with Pro Star was amazing. The fact that they handle everything in-house from designer, plumbing, electrical, etc makes the process very simple, especially since this is our first time remodeling our house. ******** was a great project manager, who helped guide us along the way from the beginning of the process till the end. I would highly recommend Pro Star Builders for all your one-stop house renovation needs!

  We had a good feeling about ****** from the beginning. He was very respectful and every word that came out of his mouth held up true. He finished my roof, gutters, and paint all within five days, as he originally mentioned. Super reliable and super clean. Big thanks to the whole Team :)

  We used Pro Star Builders for our kitchen and bathrooms remodeling project . The work quality was great and basically on schedule except minor delays due to Covid related supply issues. I recommend them without hesitation. This is the second major project we have used them on. I would definitely use them a third time. If you want someone reliable and who does excellent work - these are your guys. ******** is a true perfectionist!
