      Exchange with **** was very complete and thorough and he was good about ensuring that I understood what I had been told. However, there were two items I have since learned were not covered: he did not explain that I did not have to choose all three options and could go with fewer than three for a cheaper monthly bill and did not learn until the end of the conversation that I have to purchase my own lockbox. I thought the lockbox was to be included in the kit.

      The companies salesperson was not transparent about the daily fees for the monerting services they offered and they did not explain or show the contract details before asking for the money for a start up kit. We called several times wanting to cancel and was told " we couldn't " . The only way we could cancel if my wife died or went into a health care facility. That was very unprofessional to make those comments. I asked to a product return number and they refused and was again told we had a 3 year contract. Their sales people are taught unethical sales tactics and take advantage of seniors trying to find a help assistant when alone and truthfully Life Alert can't do anything that your land line or cell phone can't do. Buttons have to be pushed to get help, so why pay another company to dial 911 , when you can yourself from your cell or landline.

      Since Life Alert works mostly with senior citizens, we ensure they are made aware of our *********************** Agreement.  Not only was your wife notified of this at the time of her call into us to inquire about our lifesaving services, but we also placed multiple calls to her confirming all the details BEFORE we ship our equipment,free of charge. 

      After reviewing our recorded calls, we find our representatives were nice, caring and did their best to accommodate changes to your wifes chosen protection package to suit her needs. 

      Life Alert welcomes this opportunity to explain why we are the best, and why we can get you help fast,24/7.  When the elderly fall, there is no guarantee they can get to a phone.  Moreover, most elderly do not continuously wear their cell phone with them, especially while showering or sleeping.  And in many cases, not only is the phone out of the reach, but it is not charged.  But with Life Alert, a simple push of a button will send help fast, even if the pain is too much for someone to talk. Moreover, we are a PRIORTY ONE with emergency services, which mean, our calls go straight to the front of the line, no waiting and no busy signal.  This is something that your cell phone cant do.

      It was pretty much effortless.. They lady helping me setup the system was very nice and knowledgeable.. The operators answering the test alerts were very nice also as was the person who did the call backs..
