I received literature from this company concerning the Cobra benefits they offer. It was not comprehensive, and very little information was provided by the reps that I spoke with over the phone. I made an ACH payment for $628.78 for December coverage. Immediately I received an invoice for an additional $500+ to activate coverage. I cancelled via email on 12/2 and on 12/5 requesting a refund. They replied the same day stating cancellation was in process and refund would be up to two weeks. I followed up via phone and email on 12/23. Phone rep stated payment had been mailed and should be received shortly. Email reply on 12/27 stated payment was processing and would be mailed soon. The company did not fully disclose the requirements of the coverage, has continued the withholding of information and payment, not adhering to their published return time frame for refund. This company needs to release the payment the same method received, via ACH/EFT. Due to the time elapsed, eventual mailed payments preceded by shifty promises of payment is not an acceptable resolution.

She was also provided an in-depth comprehensive COBRA How-To Guide to help her understand her rights and alternatives to continue health coverage.******* delayed COBRA enrollment and attempted to isolate and select a specific month for coverage (when she needed to use insurance and wanted insurance), requesting to skip a month of COBRA premium payments. This is not permissible under COBRA. ******* was consulted about COBRA rules via mail and phone. She then canceled coverage, and a refund was sent via check. Refunds are not issued via EFT or ACH.
