*** charged me TWICE for a 1269.37$ rent payment. this at their high range village properties of 143, THIRTY-EIGHT YEAR-OLD apartments which are crumbling slowly into the desert dust of ********** , **. THEN the thieves charged me $25 for a returned check charge when they discovered their error/ mistake! I refuse to pay their $25 greed fee. by the end of august, prayerfully, or perhaps sometime in september (the place is still under new construction) I shall move out to a new not yet complete apartment complex in town. The new three floor apartments are for Seniors. It promises to be good.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the discriminatory and unprofessional behavior exhibited by leasing manager **** at ************************************************** in ******, **. Based on my personal experiences, as well as numerous complaints on Yelp (see: ************************************************************), it is clear that this is a systemic issue affecting multiple potential renters and professionals. On two separate occasions, myself and a colleague scheduled property tours for our clients, only to be met with blatant disrespect and dismissiveness from ****. During my visit, she falsely claimed I had not confirmed the tour (despite clear communication) and abruptly stated she "needed to go to lunch," refusing to assist us. My colleague experienced similar hostilityafter arriving, **** claimed there were no units available to tour, despite having confirmed the tour appointment. If no units were available, why schedule the tour? Why waste peoples time instead of notifying them in advance? This pattern of behavior suggests discriminatory practices, as **** appears to judge individuals based on appearance rather than treating them with basic professionalism. Her conduct reflects poorly not only on herself but on the property management for allowing such behavior to persist.I plan to escalate this matter further, including investigating whether her actions constitute racial bias or preferential treatment, as many other reviews allege similar experiences. This property needs immediate accountabilitystarting with the removal of **** from her position.Prospective renters and real estate professionals: BEWARE. Until management addresses this issue, I strongly advise against engaging with Covina Grand Apartment Homes.

My grandma passed while living at one of their property. After moving her stuff out and processing the move out, I received a check for her remaining security deposit. Even though the check clearly says that its valid for 120 days after the issued date, the check was stopped with a stop payment when attempting to deposit within the timeframe. When I called to property to ask, they told me that they attempted to reach me but I didnt answer and it was unclaimed so thats why theres a stop payment. I explained that I received no phone calls or contact from them as Ive saved their contact and would reach back if I receive any missed calls or received any form of communication and it made no sense since it wouldnt be voided until after 120 days. They didnt address my counter points and continue to repeat how its unclaimed so they cant issue a new check or help me any further. They pocket her full security deposit.Even when my late grandma was alive and living here, her car would get broken into multiple times, her windows smashed, her car stolen once, and once they wrongfully towed her, saying she parked in the wrong spot when she didnt and refused to show proof. This was all within a gated parking garage and with cameras. When we brought up these concerns, they shrugged off these concerns. Even when she was alive and when shes passed, shes been wronged by them.

We are very sorry to hear of your grandmothers passing and want to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.
We understand how upsetting this situation has been and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. While were unable to discuss account-specific details in a public forum, we would like to clarify that security deposit refund checks are typically valid for 120 days. In some cases, if a check goes unclaimed and we are unable to confirm receipt, a stop payment may be placed as a precaution. We understand how frustrating this can be and apologize for any confusion.
Regarding the safety concerns you mentioned, we take reports of criminal activity seriously and encourage all residents to report incidents to both the property team and local authorities so appropriate action can be taken. While gated access and surveillance tools are intended to enhance safety, no system can fully prevent criminal behavior.
To ensure this matter receives the attention it deserves, we encourage you to reach out directly to our Customer Experience Team at ****************************** They will be happy to look into the situation further and assist in any way they can.

Extremely Unprofessional and Misleading Avoid Metro Fremont Apartments (*****), managed by FPI Management I moved out of ************************ on 03/28/2025, and it has now been 23 days with zero communication regarding my security deposit. Despite sending multiple emails to the leasing office, I have yet to receive any response from the property manager. I've also called the office over 10 times during regular business hours, but no one ever answers the phone. This level of unresponsiveness is both frustrating and unacceptable. If you're considering moving in, be aware that while things may appear fine during your lease, the moment you move out, youre likely to be ignored. On top of that, the apartment complex feels very unsafe. My car was involved in a hit-and-run while parked in the lot. There are signs stating the area is Under Surveillance, but thats completely falsethere are no cameras anywhere on the property. It's incredibly misleading and gives tenants a false sense of security.Lastly, dont be fooled by the showroom. Make sure to see the exact unit youll be renting. The actual apartment I received was extremely old and nothing like the showroom they use during tours. It feels deceptive, as if theyre intentionally showing a much nicer unit to lure people in.Overall, I would not recommend living here. There are far better, more honest, and responsive property management teams out there.

Fpi is a NIGHTMARE. Paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money for a luxury bug infested building, racist office personnel, a parking spot on the entire opposite side of the complex while pregnant with 3 kids but wasnt allowed to pull up to the alley way to unload groceries closer. Leasing agent ******* at fountain house CHASED my car as I was reversing to slap a tow sticker on it. Got sent an incorrect deposit breakdown stating we owed THOUSANDS and when speaking to the main agent in the office she started yelling screaming harassing my husband for mistakes she made all while my husband stayed very calm and confused why she was verbally attacking him. Stated were no longer allowed on property and gave us a fake number for her manager. Agent made comments about me looking pregnant although I was not and am petite. Made statements claiming we denied entry and that we will be charged for a leak, we never denied entry and entry was never requested and turned out there was never a leak coming from our apt either. We paid luxury prices for people that didnt even live there to party all through the stairs/alley way which included alcohol and drug use. Recently just found out about ******* getting her friend a lease using a stolen identity as well and when being investigated stated all files were lost.

I have been a tenant with FPI Management for approximately four years, specifically at ********* at ******* in **********, **********. During this time, I have experienced ongoing issues with property management, particularly with ***** and ****** the current on-site managers. Their communication has consistently been inadequate, and attempts to escalate matters to upper management have been met with excessive delays and a lack of responsiveness.Presently, I am dealing with $5,000 + worth of damage to my vehicle from an employee of theirs who pushed a dumpster and hit my vehicle. Despite repeated efforts to seek resolution, it has been over six weeks with no meaningful progress or accountability from FPI Management or the on-site staff. The persistent unprofessionalism, evasiveness, and unwillingness to address issues proactively appear to be systemic at this property.FPI Management has demonstrated a consistent failure to communicate in a timely or effective manner, and the staff at ********* have shown minimal regard for the concerns or well-being of residents. - ***

I moved out of The ****** in *********** on Jan 31. I was told my security deposit would be applied towards any leftover utility payments and the rest of the deposit refunded to a forward address via check. Within 2 weeks I received an email from a collections company. I was later informed by The ****** Community director/onsite manager that Accounts Receivable used the security deposit instead for an apartment cleaning, for which I followed the move out procedures per my lease. I called FPI management to speak with the assigned property manager, ****** ******** to which I received no response. The on site manager of The ****** has also received no communication back from ****** in regards to my Apartment Cleaning dispute. After I received no answer from ****** ********, I called FPI management again to only not have my calls answered but sent to an automated machine on subsequent calls. This was unprofessional and a misappropriation of a tenants deposit.

I rent a unit at ***** in ****. From the start it's been a terrible experience. My units washer didn't work (I just didn't know it at the time, it didn't spin when closed) closet door was broken, ant infestation, dish washer wouldn't open because of the placement of it, sink was clogged. This place is promoted as luxury but far from it. Well I placed work orders for all of them and only sink was addressed. After a month of constantly showing up to the office and calling them, they replaced the washer. When they replaced the washer, they left a leak, I called immediately to report it. The leak did not get addressed for over a month as well and caused mold to grow in the walls and in my living room and caused floor vinyl to raise. I put in a work order for that too and they came & painted over it and called it "resolved". From my knowledge mold was not tested and I was assured they were doing something about it but nothing happened, I'm still living with the mold exposed. I'm finally moving out & WO's i put in about a year ago are being addressed. Well they have entered twice now without permission or 24 hour notice breaking the lease agreement. I called them letting them know and how this caused alot of panic since I had no idea it was maintenance and first thought someone broke into my home. I emailed management, was assured I'd hear back by today and still nothing. No surprise, I've shown up and I can hear the manager tell her staff what to tell me instead of addressing me herself. I paid a large deposit and from the other reviews of this place, it's a common practice to keep people's deposit. I foreshadow the same happening to me. I spoke with a lawyer and previous & current tenants. Looks like there is a couple ways I can go about this but really wish it was just simple and easy. Obviously this company hires incompetent managers, who overwork the little staff they do have.
