An employee of the company came out removed a few panels for some roofing work that needed to be completed and disconnected all of the panels instead of just a few. We have over 40 panels an only 3 of them were removed. So, the other 37 should have still been able to produce energy but since the employee turned all of them off and didn't inform us, we received a bill from ****** for over $5,000. Need some reimbursement for this error.

Ever since installation of our heater last year we have had to call them out at minimum 7 times to fix an issue with the heater not turning on. The thermostat indicates it is running but nothing is happening and the house gets colder. Tech after tech have come out, some stating nothing wrong, some closing a return vent and stating that was the problem... Others adjust the gas flow down, then the next one turns it back up. But the problem still persists in near freezing temperatures. They do always come out to look into the issue and the heater works by the time they leave but after spending thousands of dollars on a new unit, the expectation would be that it works without fail or intervention... I have ******** and elderly (sick) and not having heat is a health risk

I had Semper Solar install addinital solar panels on my house. During the install they disconnected my current system causing my current system to not produce any solar energy. I have asked for them to correct this it took them over three days with taking no accountability for their actions. I have asked for financial compensation from them and all they said is they will pass it along to the right people and I have heard nothing from them.

I am rejecting this response because:
Again I have not been told what the amount is. I also expect to compensation be for the time and effort of me trying to get this resolved since 6/6/2023. It should not take all this effort to resolve a simple problem.

On 1/9/23, we noticed a leak in our master bedroom ceiling. After several months, they finally sent someone out and it turns out that the installers for our solar panels moved a few tiles during installation and did not put them back. This created several roof leaks. They sent someone to repair the roof problem. They have not made arrangements or sent someone to repair my ceiling, do a mold/mildew check in my attic, or to repair a broken panel. Every time I call the main number and get put on hold for a very long time and then just get hung up on. When I call the direct line to the person who set up the roof repair, I get one of two things: 1. Someone answers the phone, gets the story from me, and tells me to give them time and they will get this project together, or 2. I get sent to voicemail and I never get a call back. I have ceiling damage and a broken solar panel, I want them fixed.

Hello, thank you for reaching out about this

Roof- We are re-inspecting the roof on 7/31 to confirm all roof repairs are completed.  Before working with the interior, the customer requested a mold inspection.  This is  set up  for this week. We tentatively also have the interior repairs scheduled for 7/31 pending the mold inspection.

Solar- The solar crew is scheduled to come out on 8/9 to troubleshoot micros that are not reporting.

We had Semper Solaris install a new roof and solar in October of 2022. We noticed a lot of water on our floors the middle of March of this year. We contacted Semper Solaris immediately and they sent a technician out April 4th, about 2 1/2 weeks since our first call. After the tech looked at our roof we were told the solar technicians drilled holes for the panels in the wrong spot, so they had to drill new holes and patch the holes they made (which is really upsetting because we paid for a new roof, not a patched roof). They said the panels need to come off and the roof would be repaired. We were also told it was going to be several weeks before they return. They said they will have to order shingles because the solar techs damaged a few and there were also some missing. We have been trying to contact the company to find out about restoration for the water in the ceiling. It’s a significant leak that has probably been leaking all winter until it finally broke through the drywall. It is impossible to get an answer from anyone regarding the water damage. I did finally get a call regarding our appointment to remove the solar so they could repair the roof. The appointment is May 11th, about 2 months since the first call to them. We still have no idea about the drywall or any of the interior repair. We have electric blinds that will need to be removed and that requires coordination with the company that installed our blinds. We are extremely concerned about mold and even more water damage. At this point we really regret choosing them for this project. There is absolutely no communication with us regarding any type of plan or process.

Upon purchase of our solar system in October 2018, we selected to add a backup battery at an additional cost. There were immediate issues with the system and service that left us with contacting Solar Sempers several times. On one occasion, where we went completely off grid, we learned that the backup battery was not working at all. We have had several occasions where anything tied to the backup battery shuts off leaving us without these very important appliances (refrigerator, washer & dryer, stove & microwave, and all electric outlets throughout our kitchen. We have experienced additional costs to replace food that was lost because of this issue and to replace expensive lightbulbs that were completely blown out when this occurs. We are then forced to run several extension cords to these appliances in order to use them. After submitting a ticket, it then takes the contractor weeks to come out to look (not fix) at the problem. After asking for expedited service, I receive one phone call during my working hours with no direct contact information call back the agent who contacted me. When I call back to the general phone number, I was given I sit on the phone for 30+ minutes until I am forced to request a call back instead of talking directly to someone. This is all only lengthening the amount of time it takes them to come out and service the problem. I have video to confirm. I am requesting that a new system is installed at the contractor's cost; if this is not probably addressed civil action will follow.

On 12/03/2020 I signed a contact with Semper Solaris, we agreed to the installation of 33 Solaria panels this was based on an existing average monthly kwh usage of 946 and we asked for additional 60-70% coverage for additional usage for electric vehicles, ac, pool heating, etc. Per our salesperson/energy consultant ***** ***** and the contract we were sold a system of $50,.000.00 that was to produce an 'estimate" of 1613 kWh per month. Since the first month our system failed to produce anything close to what we were sold. We received bills from SDG&E which significantly increased in 2022 with very minimum benefits of savings, I reported this and was told that there were issues with our system not generating enough energy production. Multiple tech teams have been dispatched to our home with no success. They've tried from uninstalling and reinstalling the panels, adding additional panels for extra energy production, dispatching different crews to try to figure out the issue and up until now issue not resolved. One time one of their crews even left the system disconnected for an entire month and not until I called after reporting a high energy bill, then they sent the crew back. Now for some reason some of the panels show zero production, on 02/24/23 I sent the report to the monitoring semper solaris team and Andre in the technical support team responded that they have determined that some of the inverters hardware has gone bad and the inverters will need to be replaced. This is beyond frustrating and is unacceptable. I have paid SDGE the following: 2021-$265.58 2022-$1,592.95 -multiple tech crews have been dispatched this year with no resolution 2023-$281.61 for January Total energy charges billed from month one to most recent $2,140.14 I am attaching a copy of the contract along with the email from ***** our consultant when she promised 170% coverage. ****** **** with Semper Solaris was my main point of contact dealing with the repairs, I asked for a full report of all repair visits to escalate this to upper management for resolution. ****** has ignored my last text and voice mails left over the past 4 months. I reached out to ***** for assistance to escalating my problem with and as of today no one will reach out to me. I am asking for help; Semper Solaris should be responsible to repair my system to produce the energy I am paying for this $50-55k contract. And also, for reimbursement of the energy charges I been charged by SDGE $2,140.14. If Semper Solaris can't repair the system energy production, then they can come pick up their panels/system. Otherwise, my next step is a lawsuit. Respectfully, ***** ****** ************

We signed our agreement to install solar system and back up batteries on September 13 2022. We also were required to secure financing through Greensky. We still have not gotten our system installed and we were just told there is another delay. We were told initially that we would have our system by Christmas. We have lost our ability to obtain the tax credit for 2022 and feel we should not have to stay in a contract were they have not delivered after almost 5 months.

Hello thank you so much for reaching out.  As you may know we are the largest battery installer in the United States.  Unfortunately this customer's city and utility have been a nightmare to deal with on this project.

Per the customers request we will cancel this project so that they may engage with another contractor.

We've been working diligently from day one to obtain this permit from this ridiculous utility.  Here is a record of all of our efforts.

On Oct 9, 2020 I signed a contract with Semper Solaris to install 2 Tesla Powerwall Batteries and a Gateway. On 10/25/2020 I signed the plan sheet for the installation of the equipment in my pump house. These plans were then used to obtain a permit from Calaveras Cnty. (********). The installation was completed on 6/28/21. In July of this year I had to have work done on my well. This was the first time that ***** Well Service has seen the Battery installation and they informed me that the installation blocked off my well head preventing access to the well and well head. In order to complete any future work on the pump or well the solar equipment has to be relocated. After contacting the county I was provided a set of the approved plans for the first time. The approved plans show the batteries on the outside of the west facing wall. The gateway is shown on the inside of the south facing wall. This design would have avoided any conflict with the existing well, pump and delivery system. Instead the batteries were installed on the outside of the south facing wall and the gateway on the inside of the east facing wall. I have spoken with Semper several times and their position is that I have to pay for the relocation because I signed the plans. I agreed that I signed the plans but it is Semper’s responsibility to install the equipment per the approved plans. Since they made the mistake, and the equipment is still under warranty and I notified them as soon as I became aware of the problem I feel that Semper should pay for the relocation.

I had my solar panels installed 6 months ago after some very unpleasant problems the day finally came and I thought I’d be done having issues. On about July I would say middle of the month I noticed the application I use to monitor the solar panels stopped working. So I reach out to the contact I have that has been trying to be helpful. I let her know the issue and she lets me know someone would reach out to come by to check out the issue. No problem so I wait a week and I don’t hear anything. I reach out again this is end of July to get an ETA on the appointment and finally someone’s shows up and the tech says oh your Enphase system has to be replaced someone will be in contact. So I ask are my panels working because obviously I don’t know he says yes they work just fine. Ok so I wait another week and reach out again 8/16/2022 my communication is my text to the contact ****** who is trying hard to help me. She says she sent a follow up to her tech guy and I wait again. I reach out again 8/26 for an update no reply. She replies 8/30 she was Out of the office apparently only she can work on my issue but she says oh we have an appointment for the tech to come back out. I finally get an appointment 9/1 great he arrives he’s here for a while and then says ok it’s done you should be up and runny now check the application and allow it to catch up. I’m like ok well he didn’t explain what he did nothing just that’s it it works. So I wait a few days and again it’s not working so I reach out again 9/7 telling the girl still nothing and I ask so what’s going on what was done I’m back to the same issue. I am paying $150 a month for panels I’m not sure are working because I can’t use the application they use to provide a report. I was charged extra over $2k because they needed some circuit relocation crap for what? How and why am I paying to finance panels I’m not certain work? Excuse after excuse and yet until today still not fixed. The tech people say wait a few days.
