I signed an agreement with this company on May 3, 2023 for installation of a vinyl fence for the side and front of my property and paid $500 deposit on my credit card. I was given a verbal commitment from the *****************, ************** for work to begin within a week after May 3, 2023. ***** assigned *************************, Production Manager to come and take measurements, which he did and assured me that the work would begin with in a week or two. I have been calling and texting both ***************************** and the last update I received from ***** was on 6/30/23. I told ***** that ******* does not return my calls or texts me back, ***** said the material was ordered but still no update. Again, I called and text both ***************************** on 8/7/23 for an update and nothing. I even called their main office and left a message and still no reply. At this point I want to cancel this agreement without having to pay for something I have not received.Business Response

Efficient Construction was able to come to a resolve with ********************* we refunded her cost of work not performed due to a production turn down. We also provided her with her warranty and she is happy with results.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The company refunded me my deposit and called me to confirm and said the contract between the company and myself is no longer valid.

On 6/2/2023, we signed a contract with Efficient Construction for a new roof. On 6/12/2023 construction began. After a couple of material delays, the protect was completed on 6/22/2023. On 6/21/2023 our toilet stopped working. After 3 visits from a plumber and a new toilet, it was determined the roof construction was at fault. A pipe was dropped into our vent from the roof causing it to block. We spent $1075.06 to fix everything. On 7/3/2023, we informed Efficient Construction and also provided pictures of the damage. We were told we would be reimbursed. 7/7/2023 I requested an updated and was contacted on 7/10/2023 informing me I would receive the reimbursement (along with the roof warranty, which is why we chose this company) for everything on Friday, 7/14/2023. We did not and were also not provided with an update. On 7/17/2023 I requested an update and told that it was mailed out on Friday, 7/14/2023 after all but they would confirm. I was never updated with a confirmation so on 7/19/2023 I reached out again and was told they thought it was taken care of and that it was actually mailed out on Monday, 7/17/2023 but they would get more details and get back to me. On Monday, 7/24/2023 I had still not received our reimbursement and the warranty. I contacted on 7/24/2023 Efficient Construction and was not answered. I was able to get ahold of a lady named *****, she attempted to help me but couldnt see anything on her end due to not having access to our file. pleased with the way ***** and associates painted the inside of the roof of both rms, however not to pleased that the sealant that was approved to use by Efficient Construction was the spray in which I can only assume it was sprayed where the nails were cut off on the roof top. Time will tell if my roof leaks next rain fall. In the meantime .. Thanks, I appreciate U ... OH WELL, TIME HAS PROVEN WITH THIS CURRENT STORM, YOUR JOB IS UNFINISHED.. To marketing agent came to my home ope open a contract.
We started to negotiate . They submitted contract to multiple vendors without telling me! Yet came to my home started work and nothing was done properly or finished. I was already calling them and have text to cancel it within the three days and they didn't! Worst part is they sent loan application to multiple companies and they are all charging me with one (dividend) affecting my credit since I have not paid !! I reached out and they did not reach back out nor only that but now I'm am screwed with my credit and home! I do not have money to pay multiple lenders and YET upset since there so no breakdown to the pricing of each thing that should have been done!
I don't understand how they sent my document over to multiple lenders which I see fraudulent for misuse of my information!! They signed the contract with out my consent!!! Forgery was done as you can see attachment!Customer Answer

The Homeowners signed a contract with us We did the work and the Homeowner filed for Bankruptcy so we were never paid for the work we did. We would like to know how to resolve this issue due to the circumstances. Good morning ******* I have been in communication with with the Homeowner for the last week back and forth. Efficient has tried to resolve this matter. The Mr. will not allow us to speak with the Mrs. who's credit is being effected and every time I try to make a resolve of the matter he go's into a discussion that has nothing to do with the matter. Efficient Construction did the work for them we still have not yet been paid for the work we did. There is absolutely no resolve here We held up our end of the contract and he Filed Bankruptcy so we still have not yet been paid. I do not see how we can resolve this matter. On July 7th the companie came out and gave a report on how much the flooring and subflooring warranty and permits would cost which I went through them to gain a loan with ******** ***** Came opened the floor July 26st to find that My floor then needed a foundation done in addition. Came back July 31st open the floor more to see what was happening and to say they needed to get a permit to move forward. The company had agreed to do a concrete foundation stating that the house will be lifted and 3 feet of dirt removed to put down concrete deeper around the perimeter of the home. On 8/24 returned and only started doing half the room demolition stating a permit was pulled. sep 2nd contractor retuned and completed the ********** and broke up dirt. Sep 6 returned to break up more dirt. Sep 7th came to get the dirt. Sep 8th brought wood, foil, concrete blocks and plywood. Sep 10th put wood around base of room. Sep 12 put concrete blocks down, wood and plywood. Sep 21st returned and put flooring and replaced baseboards. I got a loan through their partnered compie of $28,500. I didn't get the services that I was promised and they worked without actually getting the permit or giving me a warranty. They lied on my loan documents which I wasn't able to see until the final notice. I asked for an itemized report they haven't given it to me nothing. The scope of work had changed for the less and I am paying for a service that wasn't completed because they didn't provide me with the proper materials or paperwork. I want a refund and I want them to pay for it to be done correct through a different company of my choice. I have reached out to them several times and they haven't done anything about this but pass me to other people at the job and everyone say they know nothing about what happen so nothing is being resolved. I even tried with the bank to resolve it but nothing has changed or been resolved.Business Response

I personally went to the home last Friday to resolve any issues. The only she was nice and let me in her home. I pulled out a pen and note pad to take notes to **** to resolve her issue. Then a unknown man started yelling saying he wanted to defend her honor by taking us to court. For what? I don't know. We competed all work in contract and ** ******* signed a all final work completed document. I'm still willing to address any concerns she may have. We have photos of the work throughout the process as well as before and after pics. I believe the real concern is paying for what was purchased and not the quality of the work. Either way I'd still like to satisfy any concerns.

As I stated before the issue is that there was no permit attained by the company as stated in our contract nor did I receive the warranty I also didn't receive the proper foundation which was promised to me I did sign a completed work form after your staff came and wouldn't leave my home as ****************************** ************ this is why I had a man with me because on several occasions your employees come forceful and with lies such as stating he yelled when infact he didnt yell or say he is defending my honor he said asked "why did you come fron the office without any information or paperwork for my project if you are supposed to be resolving the issue instead of asking for my paperwork and that when ***** returns to come give me a call to address the issue, because you all about to have a lawsuit on your hands." I signed the job completion form however I did not say agree that all work was complete and I never stated that I was satisfied but you all did come and finish doing something to my home but not what was promised. I had to go to the city and assessors office to see if a permit was filed which both places stated that the company infact did not do so and that the process was done properly without a permit.You came to my house and asked me if the room was permitted before the work was done which you would know it was had you all did your diligence. The bank ******** employee ******* and I have been trying to recieve an itemized report and information since October 18th also trying to understand why there was false information on my loan documents as well. I just want my foundation done correctly with the cement promised, with a permit and warranty.

We recieved a price quote for some painting work, they asked for a down payment and we paid the ******** deductible but then we changed our minds within the alotted window they allowed us to now they are refusing to return the ******** dollar deductible saying they bought the material. If they did buy they material that is OUR material and should be given to us if that is the case. they said specifically that the money will be returned if we changed our minds. The representative personalized the situation and is not wanting to return us our funds
There contracts specifically states and I quote " If you cancel, the contractor must return to you anything you paid within 10 days of recieving the notice of cancellation".Business Response

Company was hired to install gates and pavers. Company said they have their own people but they are contracted people not employees of company. Front gate was supposed to have cement laid to ensure gate was able to close securely cement not laid correctly. Gates are less than 4 months and rusting. Pavers where not secured by boarder protection. Company gives the run around when calling and everyone blames the other person. Loss of time due to being told they will be there and never show. Company was paid through financing when job was not completed. Verbal agreement and description was not indicated on paperwork given. Gates came wrong color and had to be painted which paint is pealing off.
