We rented a spot on line. We live 5mins from the place as soon as I made the reservation and Paid I asked my husband to go look at the spot it was wrong he told the clerk that was not what we needed and to refund our money. We got the 19.00 for the lock back lost out on a 29.00 administrative fee and said it would take 7-10 to get our 137.00 back and this was done on Aug X XXXX we still have not received our 137.00 as of Aug XX XXXX when I call 1-866-WE- CARE. Jennifer said it's going to be awhile cause they are really really busy.

If I could give this ridiculous place 0 stars I would. We have had storage there a few years from a business we owned. We have been trying to vacate the unit for 2 months. Unfortunately we misplaced the key to the unit. (Yes that is our mistake) We have left numerous messages for weeks with no return calls for assistance. We called in to the 1800# and they were unsuccessful in getting anyone to return our calls as well from the location. Finally this week we get in touch with Rachel which I believe is the manager at the location. She informs us that no one can help us until some time in September. We have a schedule vacate date by the end of the month of August! So they are basically wanting us to pay another month of their ridiculous fees instead of helping us get the lock removed. Only solution from them was to wait or call a outside locksmith. Now mind you it cost $21 for them to do it but I just PAID $150 to have a locksmith to come do it so we can remove our things. Stay far away from this place!! They lock up your belongings, continually raise your rent, and are of no assistance when you need them. Rent was originally $130 a month for a 10×20 and now it is $289.

I was originally charged @ $160 month for 10x8 unit. Within a year it went to $280. There is absolutely no exterior maintenance visible, property being all roadway & buildings. No shrubbery or lawn to manage. The site repainted all its units, but does the customer foot that bill??? The office is not routinely manned, again minimal overhead costs, so what justifies such an escalation in price for the customers??? This is total abuse & highway robery. Even if other storage facilities charge similar fees, it remains to be taking advantage of the times & the customer. Are they not held accountable????

This company is truly and totally disorganized. We had an appointment to rent an unit in Carrollton TX. We waited for 2 hours but no one came to open there office. We call Public Storage a dozen time the customer service while waiting but no resolution at all. They kept passing ** the fault to other explanations. They even send us to a different location ( different Public Storage) with no resolution at the other office.it was clove as well.
How can you stay in business if your office doors are close during normal office hours.
Do no trust Public Storage for your storage need.
They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ethic.
      Be warn !

I have a unit at the Washington Blv location in the Mar Vista area. First of all, they increase your fees without any notification and charge an additional $30 when you're late. It's almost impossible to reach any staff during business hours on phone or in person. Often times their office Is closed at any given time. All I want to do is finally remove my things out and be done with them but they've made it very difficult to do so. This company by far is one of the Worst businesses I've ever felt with. They dont even deserve a star

DO NOT RENT A UNIT AT ANY PS LOCATION. PS Property Managers skim cash payments off the books, mess up your account billing, then cancel your insurance! Shortly after your unit will be broken into! DON'T DO IT-T GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Oh there very helpful during the move in. 6 months pay your mover in, your rent will be drastically increased and continue to be increased for no reason. Properties don't get upgraded or use recording video! No justification for increases...

This company is a high turn over non compassion ************* When you rent from this company, be advised, the do not offer any sort of pro-rate deal. If you elect to keep your unit one hour past day one, they will either charge you the full rate or send you to a collection agency to damage your credit and still charge you the rate.
The facility in Mansfield TX is infested with rats and other rodents. We had been out of the area on a long term business trip. Upon our return we found rats had nested in the unit over the past few months. There was no food or other products in the unit for the rats to be attracted to, just infested facility. While the facility looks new on the outside, it is very poorly managed by people who otherwise are uneducated, illiterate and do not have compassion.
The mentality of these people is the likes of dealing with people who are not only illiterate but foolish to the sense of being a SIMPLETON.
Because Texas generally speaking has a large part of uneducated people living here, you will note that either dealing with Walmart customer service will serve better than any day at public storage.
The company enjoys buying our facilities, raising the prices every 5 months and turning over the base of good customers.
While we had been with a different company for many years, not a single problem, this company took over the previous company, immediately raised the rates and started pushing in and started with the eRent system allowing any person to access the facility without lock checks. They DO NOT perform routine rodent control and they DO NOT perform insect prevention. With dead rats everywhere, trash along the side drive and overstuffed dumpster bins one would wonder with the continual rate increases where does the money go. The type of people who work at this facility are ignorant. I refuse to ever deal with this type of company in the future and certainly do not with their employees good will... hope they reap what they sow.

I have been dealing with the Public Storage Facility at 6211 Corte Del Abeto, Carlsbad, CA XXXXX. The owner Tammy has made it difficult to get a hold of during regular business hours. I had a reservation for a storage unit that I was unable to gain access to on my move in Date. When I went to the office to try to deal with it there was nobody available to help address the new space I was moving into. When calling to make sure I could move in to the unit before my smaller space expires in 1 day they told me that since I was unable to get the space utilized during the move in period that they have no ability to help me. They are now asking me to increase the cost of the same space that I was not given access to or help to address why I didn't have access to my reserved space.

Your manager has had us locked out of our unit since the 12th of July, 2022 (violation of 21703(b)) while our termination date is 8-2-22 (tomorrow), she has already added a lein fee (violation of 21703(c)) and, possibly another late fee (21713.5(a)(3)) - despite partial payment ($150). We keep our tools (with which we make our livings) in storage - so, in short - your manager is a major liability ... onus of responsibility for your employee ... is not mine.

And, I really do believe its a legalese issue or she thinks it's 2023 (that's next year). There's tons of other violations; but, I'm on my way to document the fact that my code only works on the gate box on the inside (long arms are awesome!); and, you are not paying me to review your facility for legal compliance (risk assessment).

I even (verbally with the .gov stats. open on my phone) explained to her and showed her the laws that she is in violation of - very unprofessional and rude ... seems to prey on people struggling. Also, is it company policy to inventory people's stuff ..? Because the manager in Rancho Cordova does - she walks around with a clipboard and blank paper everytime the gate opens.

      Update:
Now, we have paid our due balance in full ($516!) before our termination date, 8-2-22 (tomorrow). I expect my emailed receipt to have a breakdown of the charges (like all the payment demand emails were formatted). Finally got a receipt, no breakdown of charges. Spoke with some other tennants about the gate - I'm not special they run this racket on everyone.

I shall be copying this message and submitting it as a complaint - formally, and in writing as outlined in your terms and conditions. Additionally, I have a penchant for due diligence/civic duty; I shall be fowarding a copy to the Attorney General of California - as certain rights mentioned in your terms and conditions cannot be waived ... not even voluntarily.

Consider looking for a RICO Act defense attorney.

I opened a storage account last February 2022 with Public Storage with an initial payment for 1st month for under $200, then it went up to about $225 monthly. I just received an email from Public Storage that they will increase the monthly payment to $250. They provided no reason for the increase. Looks like plain price gouging. It is not even a year yet since I started renting a space and now, looks like they are just getting plain greedy.
