Worst customer service ever. Rude, hung up on me after waiting 35 minutes to talk to someone. Horrible oxygen concentrator sounds like a jet in the house. Forgot to supply hoses. All around dissatisfied

Inogen won’t offer parts or service for used oxygen concentrators.

Worse company I have ever dealt with. REFUSE to provide an invoice with their address on it so that my insurance will reimburse. They continue to state since I paid cash they cannot do that or get involved.. what kind of nonsense is that. I am asking for an invoice of an item that I purchased with bother their information and mine on it. Simple as that horrible customer service and shady company

INONGEN WILL KILL US OLD FOLKS, THEY CHANGED THEIR RUL RULES NOT TO ACCEPT ANYMORE PEOPLE LIKE US WHO GENERATE 5 LITERS FOR OXYGEN. I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 5 YEARS NOW, AND NOW I HAVE TO GO FIND ANOTHER SUPPLIER OR BUY THOSE UNITS.
EVERYONE IN THE WORLD SHOULD QUIT BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS AS EVENTUALLY THEY WILL GO HIGHER AND THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT ORDERS IF YOU RUN 5 LITERS OR MORE SO MEDICARE WILL NOT PAY FOR OUR EQUIPMENT.
THAT IS A PATHETIC KIND OF COMPANY THAT JUST GIVE A DARN ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE AND ***** THE ELDERLY.
BOYCOTT THEM AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

I rented an inogen G5 unit. I was using it at 6L. I went on Vacation to Mexico and the unit stop converting the oxygen _it was blowing just air. I spent my entire vacation trying to get my unit fix Or a replacement, it I was unable to do it. I was forced to buy a new one while in Mexico.
The second unit started giving me problems at approximately 10 months after purchased. I tried multiple different companies to get it fix, but not even the the manufacturer (Oxygo Orlando Florida)
wanted to fix it. The manufacture company said, “we don’t work on units that were not directly purchased from us, but if you want to safe some money, you can trade your unit -that way you only have to pay around $1,600. Dollars.” I almost lost my life trusting this units. It is cruel for companies like oxygo Orlando Florida to prey on the fragile and weak population make money.
When the unit is brand new it works ok, but after a few months, it starts giving problems and it take an act of congress to get it fix. It is a very expensive unit. I paid $4,200. D****** and the least the companies should do is to make easy for customers to access service to get the unit fix.
    T***** ********.

I have been awaiting Inogen to send a request for retro prior authorization since 2.2022, to my insurance company. This is needed so I can get reimbursed for what I paid out of pocket for a G5. After 40 emails and 20 telephone calls, I have finally asked for Inogen to send me a return label and refund because they accepted the money, but forgot about the customer service after the sale.

Inogen allows consumers to believe those 1-6 settings on a G5 are in Liters.
Not even remotely close. For most people, the amount of air/gas they inspire is equal to the amount they exhale. Thus in the respiratory fields we use a 50/50 inhale/exhale ratio.
The Inogen g5, at setting 6 produces 1260ML (1.26L) That means at setting 6 in one minute you inspire 1.25L of gas. A continuous system at 6L, you would inspire appx 3L of gas.
    see the problem already?
Thus the actual continuous equivalent of setting 6 is about 2.5L (1.25x2). In no respiratory model every created, does 1.25L pulse delivery ever equal 3L inspired.
This is why pulse gets a bad rap, not because its pulse, but because its horribly underdelivering the required gas to match the continuous delivery.

I purchased a G5 portable around August or September 2022. The first one I received worked perfectly as advertised. And then it started beeping for no reason at all I called customer support they were useless I might’ve been talking to somebody working in the sewer system. Since then I received, the second one that one would not charge a battery off my DC in my vehicle. Since then I received a 3-7 G5. That was their solution. I was on tech-support several times, including the master who everybody would know him if I called . Turns out he was only blowing smoke up my a**s. When I made the statement I would want a full refund because DC doesn’t work after sending me seven different DC adapters for my vehicle. Then he called me and gave me another line of BS and said he would get in touch with his superiors. The next day he called me they were gonna purchase all my equipment back, they were getting tired of listening to me however, they advertise that everything is perfect this unit. I refused to let go of the G5 because I need it desperately, I’m waiting for heart lung transplant evaluation. These people are killing me slowly I have to take the unit into my vehicle with three full charge batteries Disconnect the battery then connect to the DC because it will work on DC with without the battery in it. I’m 70 years old you have no idea the effort it takes me just to get to my vehicle let alone take it off the battery and plug it into DC.
The only person that was sincere was the sales girl followed up with every incident with Support . So I decided to keep unit work around it so she wouldn’t lose her commission. Lastly, I emailed the sales person to thank her for all her efforts, and following up on every support call. Letting her know that I sincerely appreciated it. I concluded that their support team has no idea what’s going on. The G5 has a defect they won’t admit. Advise go with another company. They should have talked to their software staff. DON’T BUY!

This all started because, I have been, trying to speak with a Supervisor, concerning your billing. I was repeatedly Refused the Individuals, insisted, they did a ticket for a supervisor would call me back. NO ONE ever CALLED. A Supervisor called left a VM, stating: “I looked at your account and nothing is wrong with it”. I never spoke to her, or anyone. The ladies, who answer the calls, they refused to explain, the billing. They stated a payment was declined, I went to my Bank, sat down with the Manager and I, went through, Both of my Accounts, about 2 hours, there was NO TRACE of a PAYMENT, Submitted or Returned.
I eventually, got a Gentleman, who started working with me to understand, It took a few calls, I know this is recorded. This is what I had been Requesting, Explanation, on how your billing me, just that simple. How is it my Fault? I asked, told them, no payment, until I spoke to someone, I received NOTHING. No one, explained ANYTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Until Gentlemen picked up my call, He is why, I understand, NO ONE ELSE. I discovered, I could do a payment plan (SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD), Then all I will be renting is the Portable Unit. Inclusion, My Consumer Rights were Denied, My Patient Rights were Denied, and, my Legal Rights were Denied. I stated to Operators who answer the phones, my rights were being Violated. I felt, I had No Choice, to contact a Lawyer, to get your Attention. It worked, I got your Attention. But, what I received was a Letter, claiming that you INVESTIGATED(LIE) did explain the Billing Process LIE), Returned Check (LIE). Making me out to the ONE at FAULT.
    You Are Dropping Me!

I contacted Amazon when my doctor ordered supplemental oxygen for me. I honestly did not want a stationary oxygen concentrator at home with the tube. I did we not want to like a prisoner in my home, so I reached out to Inogen.
Speaking with the sales representative I was informed that my insurance would not cover rental for the appointment. I was also informed that my insurance will not pay for the equipment. So moving forward I purchased the equipment, and am on a payment plan for the next three years. Speaking with a representative from my insurance company three days ago, he informed me that my insurance company WOULD pay 80% of my equipment cost and informed me how I need to proceed. I called my doctors office and the claim and authorization has been submitted. Then I called Inogen and after speaking with three representatives, I am informed that I signed a contract stating I would not include my insurance company. I turned to Inogen Because I believe them to be trustworthy, especially with clients, customers and patients Who are in need of oxygen to live. I never thought that I would be coerced into signing a contract stating I would not include my insurance company in order for this company to receive interest payments on my device. I am deeply disappointed and feel that I was led astray. I am on a fixed income and to take advantage of a person That is in need of oxygen or any other health issues is Unacceptable. I will continue to make my payments for the next three years, with interest accruing, in order to keep my unit and breathe. This is SHAMEFUL… I thought car salesman were supposed to be the sleaziest of all…. I’m no longer sure of that.
