    Account number: ********** *************************** ************************************************************************************************* **************** I am writing to file a formal complaint against Fitness 19 regarding their unacceptable handling of my request to cancel my gym membership. The following timeline outlines the events leading to this complaint:On April 12, 2023, I signed up for a one-year gym membership at Fitness 19.On April 14, 2024, I called Fitness 19 to cancel my membership. However, I was informed that cancellations must be done in person Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.On April 19, 2024, at 4:30 PM, I visited Fitness 19 in person to cancel my membership. Despite being within the designated hours, two employees informed me that only the manager, JD, is authorized to process cancellations, and she had just left. They refused to cancel my membership or provide an alternative means of cancellation.On April 22, 2024, at 3:30 PM, I visited Fitness 19 again. The same employee from my previous visit informed me that ** had once again just left. Despite our arguments and requests to cancel the subscription or speak with **, he refused, citing various unsatisfactory excuses:** has to open the gym at 5:00 AM.Why can't you show up in the morning?We can't because someone messed up a cancellation.I have no way to contact her.I thought I told you guys to come in the mornings.These repeated instances of negligence, miscommunication, and evasion of responsibility on the part of Fitness 19 are completely unacceptable. Their failure to provide a consistent and effective means of cancellation, despite their own stated policy, is not only inconvenient but also indicative of a lack of regard for customer satisfaction and fair business practices.Video of in person interaction 4/22 available.

    They denied my request to cancel my membership because I did not send them my new address. I want all of my information to be deleted from their databases and I want them to stop attempting to charge me. I want my email to be removed from the email list. I am canceling my account.

    In April 2021, I signed up for a basic monthly Fitness 19 membership plan for their ************ location. I went to the location for a few months, but decided another gym nearby me had better facilities and was better located to where I lived at the time, so I decided I wanted to cancel my membership. I checked my credit card statement to see which card my membership was being billed to and discovered I was being double charged for my membership. On November 10, 2021, I called the ************ location and spoke to a manager, to find out they had opened 2 accounts under my name (which of course, I NEVER authorized) were charging me for both. As this was clearly a mistake on their end, the manager verbally confirmed on the phone that she would refund me for the double membership charges and would be cancelling both accounts under my name. I received the refund and saw no further charges on my card, so I assumed the issue was resolved. However, in November of this year I received a letter from a collection company claiming I owed Fitness 19 $139.94 in fees, despite the fact that I had cancelled all associated accounts with them a year prior. I am currently disputing this debt with the collection company. This company will do everything and anything they can to milk money from you in the shadiest ways possible. DO NOT BOTHER ENROLLING IN THIS GYM, the cheap membership fees are enticing but it is NOT worth the headache they cause trying to cancel a membership.
