Tri Pointe Homes Rookies in the Home Construction Business If you're considering building with Tri Pointe in **********, Cypress think twice.Heres what Ive experienced:Purchase Process: No system to review choices like exterior colors. All decisions are rushed into a single 3-hour meeting. I was told a rendering system would cost $300K per computeran unbelievable claim. As a software professional, I know thats not accurate. This reflects a lack of investment in customer ***************** Studio: Helpful team, but unless you upgrade, everything feels cheaplight fixtures, finishes, recessed lights. For a premium builder, this is disappointing.Construction Mistakes: They painted the exterior the wrong colorfixed only after we pushed. Major roof issue: improper flashing caused a water leak. We found water pouring from the ceiling. Their casual response: Oh, it happens. While the roof looks fine now, I have no way to confirm if damaged insulation was replacedno signs of drywall removal. Permitting delays were blamed on *************, but their sloppy as-built plans were the real issue.Builder Change: The general contractor changed mid-project, as did the salesperson. This inconsistency raises concerns.Communication: The salesperson responds to texts and calls, but the overall process is unorganized and stressful. Tri Pointe has not been able to provide a completion date.Tri Pointe makes mistakes with no accountability for the impact on customers' lives, yet Im sure theyd be inflexible if delays were our fault.Buyer beware.

My experience with the company:Pros:Aesthetic Appeal: The home is beautiful.Kind Staff: Warranty representatives and contractors are polite and approachable.Responsiveness: Issues are acknowledged, and repair teams contracted.Cons:Quality Concerns: Materials and appliances feel cheap, leading to repeated issues (e.g., AC, roof, water damage).Lack of Continuity: Multiple representatives without a cohesive approach, leading to poor relationship-building and trust.Inefficient Repairs: Contractors often arrive unprepared, requiring multiple visits to address single issues.Time Drain: The process demands significant personal time, with repeated absences from work to oversee repairs.Anxiety About Value: Ongoing problems and patchwork repairs are causing concerns about the homes resale value.Customer Experience: While the people are polite, the company's approach to resolving problems doesnt feel customer-focused.Overall Recommendation: Although the staffs kindness is appreciated, the inefficiency, lack of quality, and repetitive nature of the issues make it difficult to recommend Tri Pointe Builders. Prospective buyers should approach with caution. Would not buy it again and would not recommend to friends or family.

Although Tri Pointe Homes does not agree with the consumer's overall general assessment of the company or her home, it is willing to talk to the consumer directly about specific concerns she may have. A member of Tri Pointe's local management team will reach out to the consumer soon.

Enough is enough! DO NOT BUY FROM TRI POINTE. This process has been nothing but a disaster to say the least. My wife and I bought a home last year and we've been living with construction ever since. Incompetent warranty reps only want to Band-Aid the problem instead of fixing the actual issues. We have massive subfloor issues, carpet that's been pulled up more times than we can count. chipped floor tiles, a leaking shower, paint mismatch all over the home, HVAC issues. The list goes on. It takes two-three weeks to schedule trades out and half time the WRONG TRADE IS SCHEDULED!! There is no oversight of the trades, and the quality of work is less than subpar. During our one-year inspection, the inspector found that ALL corners of the house were showing wire and lath. When the stucco trade came out, they stucco over the blue tape! This is the quality you get with Tri Pointe. We've already had to file one complaint with the *** because Tri Pointe refused to do the right thing. We have lost so much income taking time off work for scheduling errors and having to re-due work that wasn't completed the right way. Multiple homes in neighborhood are experiencing the same issues as us and multiple residents are interested in talking about starting a class action lawsuit against Tri Point. Tri Pointe does not care about its customers. Unless you want a nightmare of an experience stay clear!

Tri Pointe worked directly with this consumer on all of their concerns spoke of in their review of their child's home. Resolution took place in August, 2024. As they are "very happy with the repairs at their child's home", they offered to withdraw this review, as well as the duplicate Yelp review. Tri Pointe considers this matter closed and resolved. Thank you.

I moved into a new build in ********** ************** in September 2022. It is 2024 and I am relocating and putting my home on the market. As we went through the inspection process, we noticed there were leaks in the two of the guest bedrooms. There was misplacement of the shingles on the roof causing a leak in the two guest bedrooms. This company was very slow to take ownership of the mishap. They took ownership and offered to pay for comp me on ONE bedroom. The other bedroom, I was responsible for out of pocket expenses. This home is almost two years old, there should be no problems with this. Any any rate, DO NOT PURCHASE a home from TriPointe.

Tri Pointe Homes is confused by the consumer's negative review and comments as they do not reflect the communications Tri Pointe received directly from the consumer expressing his satisfaction with Tri Pointe's actions. Tri Pointe considers this matter closed.

As a **** Estate Agent; you go above and beyond to find the perfect home for your Buyers. We decided to look into new construction and found Tri Pointe in San Jose. Our rep was Brenda M******  and all I have to say is she was just horrible to work with. She was rude, unresponsive, arrogant and just gave the worst customer service experience. Every time I'd try to reach out to her because my buyers had questions, she would not respond...as a matter of fact I'd reach out a few times just to get any kind of response. At that point, all I wanted was for my buyers to be happy because we found something they can call home...they end up purchasing there. From a professional stand point, Brenda did not make this a joyable process and experience and I will not be taking any of my clients there. My husband and I were even considering purchasing a home with Tri Pointe and really like how everything is very energy efficient, but it all comes down to who you work with. Nonetheless, Tripointe has some really beautiful homes.

Tri Pointe Homes rejects the reviewer's description of the New Home Advisor who worked with the reviewer's clients. The unnecessary and unfounded personal attack on the New Home Advisor by the reviewer does not match the positive customer service experience reported by her clients. Tri Pointe is disappointed that the BBB allows this type of name-calling-only review to be published.

Closed escrow on 09/2017 in *******************. Have had multiple issues with AC unit since we purchased the home. Couple weeks ago our AC repair service discovered the breaker installed by a Tri Pointe contractor was a 30 amp breaker to power a 40 amp AC unit. Tri Pointe response was:Good morning, I hope all is well with you.Ive attached and highlighted below the warranty information we discussed earlier this week.Unfortunately, we do not reimburse for work done after the fact, (see below in Exclusions).Warranty on your HVAC System is for 2 years through Tripointe. After that the Manufactures warranty on parts can be up to 10.Your home closed escrow on 9/21/2017.You can go through Carrier ( *********************************************************************** ) for warranty on parts, but labor still may not covered through them. If you have any questions, please let me know. We can set up a meeting and discuss further.

TriPointe builders, they think their client is the buyer. Vert weird. Their on site people don't understand that the client is their builder and the buyer is represented by a broker. The real estate broker has an obedience, loyalty, disclosure, confidentiality, accounting and reasonable care to the buyer client. Never in the history of real estate does the on site salesperson have a buyer client. I've talked to their actual onsite salesperson, that sales person's manager and that manager's manager. All three don't know the difference between a customer and a client. Be careful with this builder. That is a basic knowledge of real estate. I have text messages from the on site salesperson to my client (Realtor's buyer) where they disparage the buyer's agent. Very unprofessional and not knowledgeable about fidelity and agency in *****.

Quadrant homes did a very poor job with the roof at my house. One does not expect such faults with the roof performance. Have gotten it independently inspected from 3 roofing contractors and all have documented the faults and bad choice of material and poor workmanship. Quadrant has always maintained wear and tear as the cause but I have documented proof from multiple inspections which clearly highlight the builder's faults. I am willing to take legal action against this builder. Many homes in my community have publicly expressed the same problem so its not just one home but an entire community facing the same issue!

Potential buyers beware!Beyond the horrible experience that we have encountered to date related to building our home, what's concerning us most is the lack of transparency that we've experienced from TriPointe Homes regarding the possibility of erecting a perimeter wall around our community. We have been misled time after time by TriPointe and ************************ regarding this matter. On multiple occasions, we have submitted various concerns about the lack of security in the Avocet and Brighton subdivisions of ********* South. When purchasing our home a couple of years ago, we were told by TriPointe that our *************** would be lower since our lot was designated as a standard unit vs a benefitted gated unit. In ****, TriPointe unilaterally decided to increase our *************** to align with those residents who reside within a benefitted gated unit but still no wall or gate to warrant this change. We feel like we have repeatedly given TriPointe and City Property the opportunity to make things right, but they don't appear to care about the needs of their homebuyers. That said, we are still hopeful that TriPointe will step up and do the right thing for those who contribute to the success of their business.@*******************, @*************************, @*******************************, @***************************, @***********************

I bought my home at ******************** ********** .I kindly agree with below negative comments on home advisor department of tripointe , they need to improve customer service I had troubles with them in past . My current issues is with ******************* as they are too slow for responding and resolving the critical issues found during my annual 1 year home inspection and there is no complete transparency on the process of fixing issues they have a poratal to request for warranty service in my case no use of submitting queries in the portal no updates on them. I have been continuous sending reports of details issues need to fixed in my home and contacting them through phone but the warranty department is not responding emails for month . They only fixes on critical issue with roof which caused damages to drywall and after fighting and communicating for month they have fixed issue And still they are still many critical issues pending such as defective windows, drainage issue and driveway damage and many . The house construction quality is not up to the **** of tripointe and homes constructed during Covid have issues not only my home there are other homes in my community and friend s facing same issue with house construction quality. Please I kindly request warranty department to take special survey of this and help us to resolve the issues. *****
