Represent lying about mail delivery dates holding my check I have bills need to be paid and they going to cancel my payment and send it back to irs cause they felt some way of how I was speaking they have all my personal info I want all my files deleted from there system !! On or about 03/15/2022. the irs sent my Federal income tax return of: *********. to me utilizing sbtpg intermediary service whom received the funds from the *** and subtracted thier fees, then sent it on to greendot a subsidairy bank the deposit from SBTPG's bank to my bank failed, then SBTPG informed me that they would send it back to the ***. However, after several attempts to resolve matter of funds held (rejected from bank institution meta bank,Greendot,etc.) the above mentioned entity fails to remit funds held in checking account and or send funds back to originator in a timely or orderly fashion otherwise outlined within agreement contract.Initial Complaint

I filed taxes with freetaxusa.com in February. They use Santa Barbara tax products group to process refunds. They sent my refund to my account on March 9 but the bank declined it because of wrong account numbers. Since then SBTPG has been giving me the runaround about my ****** refund. After a few months, they claim they returned my refund back to the *** on 6/15/2022. It is now 9/26/2022 and the *** states to me today that they never received any money from SBTPG. They have my money and are lying about it. I have definitely contacted an attorney and I am about to take them to court. They are fraudently keeping people money. Ever since they teamed up with ******** no one is getting their tax returns.Initial Complaint

we filed our 2021 taxes using Turbotax. We received a $40,053 refund which was paid by the *** on June 2. The *** sent the refund to Turbotax which then sends it to Santa Barbara Bank.Its been 3 months now and the money has not been deposited into our bank account, which was designated on the tax return we filed. I have been unable to contact the Santa Barbara Bank on numerous occasions; when I try to access them about the problem the message I get is that my account doesn't exist. I have filed a complaint at BBB against Greendot but have gotten no resolution. I was told to contact bank of originator of funds for account that was closed by turbo Intuit. I have tried many times to call with no answer. I have also sent email requesting a letter of idemnity with no response. So hopefully I can gat a response now. All I am requesting is a letter of idemnity sent to Greendot/turbo Intuit card. Then I would like to know once this letter is sent does that mean my funds can be released back to **** and then they can send me a check? What happens to my funds and how can I get them once this process of idemnity is complete? I just want my money that was left in my closed account ($2180), which is legally and rightfully mine and I'm tired of fighting to get it back. The "safety and fraud" systems that these companies use should be handled differently and when something like this happens it should not be so hard for a customer that used their services to get their funds returned to them or withheld from them in the first place.Initial Complaint

My name is ************************I filed my Amended Refund in 2021 for the tax year 2020 through TurboTax on line. They use green dot that affiliates with the business Santa Barbara Tax product group. The *** deposited my refund of **** in an account with this company on May 6th of 2022. The Tax product group sent my money to my bank account after paying TurboTax what I owed them but my bank sent it back the next day May 8th because my account had been closed. They then sent my refund to the address I last had on file which unfortunately I no longer lived there. I called them and was told that they could not send me my refund they had to send it back to the *** and it would be sent at the end of July. It was never sent I called the *** and checked in August. So after waiting 4 hours and getting disconnected after 2 hours I was able to finally get through to them again and was told that they send refunds back to the *** only once a month and it would be sent at the end of August. I called the *** yesterday the 22nd of September and was told that they have not received anything and even though they have put a trace on my money they informed me that it's up to me to resolve my issue with this institution " Santa Barbara Tax product group. I have no idea what I should do am I supposed to get a lawyer or is there a tax resolution specialistI can contact. SBTPG has received my refund from the *** in February, and still has yet to pay it out to me. I was told a check was finally mailed 8/24/2022, after months of trying to get a hold of them. (I have many emails with differing information given out by them). It's now 9/24/2022 and still have yet to see anything! This company is a third party for turbo tax, they Supposedly sent me a check for my tax return on 13 September for the amount of $16,144. Santana Barbara tax products group has been illegally holding my money since July to collect interest in my funds. They told me several lies and I have voice recording about them saying they never even mailed me any of the checks. They have done this to many others and I want my Money!!!!Business Response

This letter is in response to the complaint filed against Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (TPG) through
the Better Business Bureau on September 22, 2022.TPG offers taxpayers an optional tax-refund transfer service through a network of tax preparation
franchises, independent tax professionals, and online tax preparation providers. The refund transfer
service (the ** Service) is offered and administered by Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC, with
************ providing banking services for the ** Service. The ** Service allows taxpayers to pay their tax
preparer fees from their federal or state tax refund rather than paying their tax preparer fees at the time of
filing. With the ** Service, taxpayers authorize a temporary non-interest-bearing deposit account to be
opened in the taxpayers name at ************ to receive a direct deposit of the taxpayers federal and/or
state tax refund from the *** or state tax authority. The ************ account is opened when ************
receives the taxpayers federal or state tax refund. When ************ receives the federal or state tax
refund (whichever arrives first), TPG makes deductions from the tax refund to pay the tax preparer fees
and associated upfront fees. ************ disburses the refund balance to the taxpayer pursuant to the
taxpayers instruction. You agreed to these terms and conditions through your ** Service Agreement.According to our records, on March 23, 2021, TPG received your electronic submittal through the tax
preparers office, **********. This means that the option to utilize a Refund Transfer to pay the tax
preparers fees was elected in lieu of paying via credit card at the time of filing. When TPG received your
refund from the *** on July 26, 2022, it was deposited into a temporary, non-interest-bearing account;
we deducted the fees for the tax preparation and ** service and printed a Cashiers Check to mail to your
address on record (**** ********************************** Apt 307, ****************, ** *****). You may reference the
Disbursement Methods section 5 of your Refund Transfer Agreement to confirm the account information
you submitted.TPG confirmed that a check was mailed to your address on file. Then, the following occurred:
You informed TPG that the check was not received.TPG provided you an Indemnity Bond (*****) form to fill out and submit back to TPG to reissue
a new check. The ***** allows the customer to confirm their address and stop payment of the
original check. TPG requires the ***** to be notarized to validate the customer's identity.********************** received the ***** and reissued the check to your address on record.
You informed TPG that you still had not received the check, and the allotted wait time for receipt
of mailing had expired.TPG provided a second ***** and reissued the check.
You informed TPG that you did not receive the check.
TPG provided you with a third ***** and attempted delivery once again with tracking.
The check was cleared by a financial institution on October 7, 2022.
