    Hi ***,

Your complaint makes it seem like we never communicated with you about your aggregate liability. From October 25th to November 6th, we sent you several emails explaining your aggregate liability. We sent you a copy of Section D. 1. "AGGREGATE COVERAGE LIMIT" and we highlighted that section. Unfortunately, you're ignoring that section of the contract.

The purchase price of your vehicle was $7,500.00. Our liability for all claims paid under the contract was 80% of the purchase price, or $6,000. Your radiator repair and car rental costs totaled $1,818.37. The transmission repair cost $5,604.24 and we authorized $4,181.63. Those two numbers, when added together ($1,818.37 + $4,181.63) equals $6,000. As we've repeatedly stated, we cannot make any further payments under the contract.

Section D of the contract you signed when purchasing your vehicle outlines coverage limits, which you acknowledged and agreed to. We provided you with a copy of Section D to explain the liability limit for the transmission repair. Please read it one more time.

I purchased a 2017 **** Focus from Own-A-Car Fresno in 2023 and have had it for a year and it now needs a major repair to the transmission. I was sold a warranty and purchased it through Own-A-Car and was told that it would cover major engine and transmission repairs. My vehicle needs a new clutch to be able to run properly and PRco USA is denying the claim citing that they only cover the "automatic side" of the transmission. No one at Own-A-Car Fresno told me that I needed to buy additional warranty to cover the manual clutch that my car has in it. PRco even refuses to cover a portion of the cost, so that I am responsible for a $2,800.00 repair. The **** for my vehicle is: *****************. PRco is breaking our contract and in this case a fair resolution would consist of either PRco covering a portion of the repair or them cancelling our contract and refunding me the amount I payed for the warranty.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have attached proof of the repair to replace the clutch assembly and forks on my **** Focus and am still awaiting the total refund of my warranty coverage from PRCo. PRCo never even sent an inspector to the repair facility because they knew that this repair was going to be very costly and didn't want to pay for it. This is why I want a total refund of the price I paid for the warranty.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****

On 6-2-23 I purchased a vehicle and extended warranty from Own A Car in *********. There were issues with the vehicle immediately and Own A Car sent me to A1 Allignment for repairs. The repairs never fixed the issue but Own A Car declined further action. Less than a year later, my vehicle is having related issues. Own A Car has instructed me to return to A1 Allignment and that this is the ONLY mechanic they work directly with. As they did not provide adequate service before, I do not want to return. Both Own A Car and PRco warranty have instructed me to take the vehicle to any repair shop and have them file a claim for the covered service. However, I am unable to actually find a repair shop that will submit a claim with PRco and I can't submit a claim on my own. So, effectively, I was advised to buy protection for the vehicle and agreed to purchase a warranty that *** or *** not cover services through ONE mechanic. This is a scam! I have paid a lot of money for something I cannot even use.I would appreciate assistance with this matter and hope to resolve my vehicles issues ASAP. I need my money paid for this scam to be reimbursed so that I can pay for the repairs needed.

    Hi *********,

We have received the complaint you submitted to the Better Business Bureau. You have not accounted for some facts.

Fact #1: We did not decline your manual clutch repair because you never purchased the coverage. The dealer paid you $1,500 to resolve your manual clutch coverage dispute after PRco made you aware that you did not purchase the manual clutch coverage.

Fact #2: Extreme Auto Repair got in touch with us on September 6th, reporting that the transmission requires replacement. We assigned an independent inspector to test drive your vehicle in order to confirm the diagnosis made by Extreme. The inspector arrived on September 8 and the vehicle would not start, so the inspector could not verify the transmission claim. Here is in pertinent part what the inspector noted in the report. The meaning of the reference to "RF" is Extreme.

"Contacted RF at 9:30 to schedule inspection. RF stated vehicle was available and ready for inspection. Upon arrival, vehicle had a dead battery and would not start. No codes were present due to dead battery. Tech put booster on vehicle and attempted to start, still would not start. Lights / odometer on dash only partially displayed due to low voltage. After 15 mins on booster, vehicle still would not start."

Fact # 3: You contacted us via our live chat and email on September 21, requesting a call back from a supervisor. We called you but we could not leave a message because you do not have voicemail. We informed you via live chat and email that we were waiting for Extreme to get in touch with us, as we had received no communication from them since September 8.

PRco has not declined your transmission repair. We are waiting for Extreme to contact us so that we can reassign the inspector. Kindly contact them immediately and request that they inform us via email or phone that the transmission is ready for inspection.

I bought an extended warrant policy from this company in 7/2021. Policy # PV10049395. I have since had my vehicle in for coverable repairs three times, and each time this company will not return calls or emails to my mechanic after they have submitted a claim. I have tried to call them and cannot get any one on the phone, it always goes to voice mail. I have not been reimbursed for any claims my mechanic has submitted.
