Eccoshield offered a service for half the price they took off my card then wouldn't stop acting like I was getting a service. I've called the office manager who says they will stop and yet I'm billed again. I finally had to block the charges through the bank on my card. No one has been back here (I have dogs...) and we communicate with the company at least weekly telling them this has gone too far and to stop. They continue to call to either bill for a service they're not even doing or the company is calling me a couple of times a day to try to sell me the service they're trying to bill me for. I want it all to stop. They've been paid $360 to do nothing. I do not want to continue to be their punching bag because business is not going well. I have yelled over and over "Do not call. Put me on your Do Not Call list." and the caller then pretends to not speak English.Business Response

Hi ********,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. I want to sincerely apologize for any possible miscommunication during the time of sign-up. For situations like these where information can be quickly ran through or mistakenly missed, we send out a welcome to the family text highlighting the three most important details of our contract, which lists the type of contract you are on, the billable cycles, and the cancellation process which states if you decide to term your contract, you are responsible for paying back the discount given to you at the time of service. All of this information was sent in a text which was acknowledged and agreed to when you responded "Yes" to that message.
Given the situation, I am truly empathetic and want to part ways in good standing. With this being said, I am going to do a one time courtesy waive for your remaining balance on the account as an act in good faith. I hope this helps and you are able to find the treatment that is most helpful for your home.

I signed up for services with Eco Shield pest control about a year ago. I asked to cease services due to financial hardship. Over the phone with agents there I stated on two separate occasions that I needed to cancel service. Both times I was told I was canceled. I kept getting calls.and texts from the solutions department. On 10/23/24 I called the solutions department to stop the texts and calls. The solutions person let me know I owed a $150 cancelation fee. I asked the agent if I could speak to her supervisor and she refused. I feel this is a situation of deceptive business practices. A salesman came to the door and offered my wife a one-time pest spray for ants and other bugs. He stated they were in the neighborhood working that day and could give us a 50% discount and it would cost us $185.30. My wife agreed to this. He just needed her to sign his tablet authorizing the charge. It was just a basic agreement to charge us for the spraying. He stated this was to be a ONE-TIME charge and that he would email us paperwork stating this, in about 3 days. They did the spraying that afternoon and everything was fine. this was on May 30, 2024. We never did get any emailed paperwork. The charge showed up on our credit card and it was correct. A month later, another charge for $185.30 showed up on our credit card. I called the company and was told that they sprayed again on June 26th and that my wife had signed a contract for 4 quarterly sprays. I told them this was not the case and that I would dispute the credit card charge. I disputed the charge but it was turned down by **** because the vendor provided a signed contract for one year of spraying and that they could not reverse the charge. I cancelled my card so that they could not charge me any further. I started receiving letters from the vendor wanting more money that they said was due. I called the company several times the next few months and talked to 3 or 4 supervisors/managers. I told them that no one had come back on June 26, we were there all that day. I told them that what my wife had signed was not a contract and that they had fraudulently put her electronic signature on it, that they had lied about it only being one spray. I told them I was canceling the contract. They stated that they were going to charge me an additional $200.00 for the cancellation. I spent several hours over a period of weeks and they finally agreed to drop the $200.00 charge. They would not refund me the second $185.30 charge. This company is dishonest and lies just to get business. Do not deal with them.Business Response

Hi *****,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out with your concerns and feedback. We take this feedback very seriously and appreciate all the information we receive. After reviewing your account it looks like the fee has been waived, so you no longer have a balance on the account and your account is closed. I also noticed that our "welcome to the family" text was never delivered so we ended up calling either you or ***** to discuss the contract which informs you each cycle is billable. So at this time, the refund would not be accepted but we have taken care of your cancellation fee. If there is anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to let us know.

To home and may concern: I was never contacted about receiving or going over a contract. I paid the first installment because they came out and sprayed. Even though it was not a good job we still had bugs. A second charge was billed which I was unaware was going to be billed. I tried to cancel it with the credit card company but it had already gone through and they said I had a signed contract and they could not reverse the charge. They also stated that they came out and sprayed a second time which is totally false we were home that entire day and no one came to our house and no one sprayed that day. So I had one service and I paid for two. Yes you did cancel the rest of the contract but I still feel I should be reimbursed for that second payment. Also there's neighbors around on the local ******** page complaining about echo pest control saying a lot of the same things that we went through. They didn't sign a contract either but signed his clipboard which then later translated into a contract which nobody was aware of because they totally misled everybody and they said it was just one time service. This is just total fraud and I'm not done with this yet I'm going to be contacting ***** ***** on ******* and we'll get some better coverage for this and exposure.Business Response

I have a service contract for quarterly service. On August 26, I called in for touch up service. The receptionist said that the office was busy, but she would follow up. No response, so I called again on 28 August. Again, a delay, finally receptionist came back online and said scheduled. She did not verify that the appointment allowed me to be home. On August 29, while I was at the optometrist, I received a call from ECO that the technician was at the home. I later got an E-Mail stating that the technician had finished the external work. On visual inspection, there had been no cleanup/pest removal (spiders). I called again 4 September and again the receptionist put me on hold, then came back and stated the office was busy, but that she would follow up. Again, no follow up. I have 30 photos of the problem, spiders on the outside of the house, and inside the garage. After 6 regular scheduled visits, i find it irregular that I should be having worse spider control than I had before the service started!Business Response

The ECOShield Pest Solutions *** knocked on my door and told me about an ECO friendly pest solution available to me. I have a problem this year with sugar ants. I decided to try the offered solution. I paid $206 plus change. The tech came out a week or so later . He ran around the house with what looked like a10 foot long bottle brush wiping the eves of my house. I witnessed no spray. I saw no reduction in pests. A month later A different tech came out and did the same wiping. There was no apparent reduction in ants. On the contrary the ants appeared worse. That's when I noticed they had taken a second payment of $206. And now ECOShield was now texting me about other pests not covered by my plan. I realized I could not afford this solution especially if I didn't see any results. I called their phone number and tried to cancel the account. All the customer service *** could talk about is how much I had to pay. They want another $230 to cancel my account without any satisfactory results or service. This is not ***utable way of doing business. ECO Shield Pest Control Seattle.************* Still swimming in ants today..Business Response

the sales rep showed at my door in June and offered a quarterly pest control service, he asked to sign for account set up and said it is no obligation solutions. The original service was discounted. After a month I received a service notification notice, which I cancelled since this supposed to be a quarterly service, rather than monthly. It was difficult to cancel the appointment and I understood that it will be difficult to work with this company. Therefore, I asked to close the account. The company send me a bill for $229 claiming the original service that I received was discounted. This was not disclosed by the sales rep, more so it makes original service unreasonably expensive.EcoShield BOSA - ****** **************************************** is dishonest and predatory business practice. We had Eco Shield out for a total of two sprays. The original salesman assured us we would only have services when we wanted and quoted us a price for the first treatment. We, of course, paid for that treatment. They scheduled a follow up for the inside of the home about a week later which was supposed to be included in the original treatment, though the service man did not charge us in person, we received a call stating we had an outstanding balance. We ended up getting that dropped after some argument from them seeing as we had not been notified of an additional fee. After that, we no longer needed services from them, so we called to let them know we would like to cancel. They informed us we had signed a contract and could not cancel without penalty. Seeing as we never signed a contract, I asked them to send me this supposed contract "we signed" that entailed us to a year of payment. Anytime we asked to see the contract they refused or came up with an excuse. We never did see this signed contract. After some argument they told us it would be cancelled no penalty. They called again a week later, stating the same thing, that we had a cancelation fee. I told them again that we had just been told it would be dropped. This happened multiple times over a few months until it got to the point that we told them if they charged our card, we would be taking action considering we had been through this over and over. They hadn't called since and we assumed they had finally dropped the matter, then we received a bill from a debt collector. They had turned in our apparent cancelation fee. To reiterate, we had been told on at least three occasions we owed nothing and everything had been dropped. This company is a scam. They are not honest or trustworthy. They lie and make excuses. If a contract that we "signed" had been sent to us, it may have been different, but they were never able to produce this for us, seeing as it does not exist. This company needs to be stopped.Business Response
