I have had no good luck with this place, I have been paying 30 a month for1 and a half years at first I was thrilled with the wellness plan ansld the idea of free visits to the vet and all the vaccines and heartworm test and parasites testing, but then you realize they don't really examine your dog they font check there teeth nor their ears and anything besides weighing and clipping nails I've been to them a few times asking them to check my dogs mouth I was told to go to a full service vet??? Also the place that I was going to for these wellness appointments was in the next town and then they unexpectedly closed the location and I was never given any kind of notice so now I'm still paying for something I can't use due to the fact that now the nearest wellness clinic is more than sn hour away and not at all convenient and I can never get a hold of anyone by phone or email it's really just a joke and I believe they are ripping most of us off who pay for the wellness packageVIP Petcare

All calls are recorded, a single call was made to our office on May 21/2023 where the owner asked about parvo testing, we do not offer this service. We are not able to treat this disease because we offer preventative care only. This is the same reason we are unable to provide a dental recommendation.
We can call the owner and cancel the plan as she does not have center with in 50 miles of her area at this time.Review fromHayli B

I give 2 stars because this was such a convenient and positive experience for seven years…until the past three (technically four) visits. A couple years ago, we took our two dogs to a clinic where we waited a little over an hour, and were still third from being seen. There was a scream and we see a vet tech running to the bathroom screaming the f word, holding her eye where blood was already gushing from. A large lab had bit her in the face. I don’t know if she was okay, but they closed and so we grabbed our paper voucher for $10 and left. We had to come back the following week. Last year, we returned. Everything went smooth (except the tablet crashed so many times it took 20mins to pay), but we got home and I saw the emailed vet records. Only one dog’s listed influenza. Customer service advised the vet remembered specifically giving both dogs that vaccine, so they updated the records and things were squared away - us just doubting if we knew for sure that both had gotten it. Now two weeks ago, we returned again. When checking in, I told the tech that we were due for Lepto, 5in1 & Bordetella. I specifically told her that we didn’t need rabies (we got 3yr in 2022). She verbally confirmed that with me, and that was the end of the it. I didn’t know lepto and 5in1 was given in the same syringe, so I thought they gave the correct number of shots at the time. I printed the vet records to hand off to the boarding kennel today and they were given rabies. Without my acknowledgement. I know it’s safe even if they weren’t due, but that is so scary that they gave something to my dogs without my consent. It also listed they were given 3yr, but the due date for next rabies was listed as 2024. So that’s even wrong. I called and they updated the rabies due date, but for their mistake only offered me a $10 voucher (which they had to put me on hold for ~10mins to get approval for) that expires end of 2023 (they aren’t due for anything until 2024). I declined.VIP Petcare

We perform services after the owner confirms them with a signature before they are performed. We offered a resolution for the situation and it was declined.Review fromAletia C

1 starThis is for VIP mobil pet clinic that pops up at Anjan Pet Store on Branham in San Jose, Ca.
I have been taking my pets here for shots for a long time now. I just learned of a procedure of charging for services not rendered in advance that they will not refund. I took my cat in for shots and they told me while in line that I needed a 4-in-1 but did not tell me what exactly that entailed. I know she needed shots. After receiving the shots and going to the register I was caught off guard when they handed my a fecal tube and instructed me to bring back my cats poop. I was cought off guard because I was there for shots only. But the line was long and I was hurried away. Now it's been over a month and I still have not captured poop in less then 24 hours and driven it to whichever location might be open when "the poop" happens. Mind you I work and deal with a severe pain issues that tracking un necessary poop is not even on my radar. I just by fluke remembered that I was forced to pay in advance for unasked for service. I called up and after waiting on hold for 25 minutes for a customer service representative to answer this is what I learned. I explained my situation and thay said sorry, no refunds are allowed. I had purchased a "package" in which no refunds are allowed. I explained that at no time did the person with the iPad who took my information offerer me individule shot fees just said I needed the 4 in 1. Why was I forced to pay for a package that I did not ask for? I was there due to an email reminder for rabies and other shots. Not poop retrieval. I feel that this is a purposely done sneak in charge knowing that people will be paying for services not provided. You should be charged when the poop is droped off and services begain. Anyway, this is my watch out warning as I've learned the hard way. They have lost a long time customer.Review fromAshley K

1 star3/19/23 - Waited in line for about 2 1/2 hours for shots for my dog. They had one vet and two techs. They kept running out of supplies so one of the techs had to keep stepping away to call somebody to bring more supplies. By the time it was our turn to fill out paperwork, the tech was so preoccupied and flustered. We DID have our previous year's records but, the tech had to keep stepping away and never actually looked at our records showing that he was current on Distemper. We initially went in for his yearly Bordetella and Distemper. She talked us into getting the 5 in 1 Leptospirosis (which INCLUDES distemper). Spent $110 only to find out that we have to go in for a "BOOSTER" a month later even though he's had his distemper EVERY YEAR. It is now 4/7/23 and after multiple emails/calls, they still have not fixed the issue. Waste of time.Review fromKathy

I brought my dog to one of the clinics in Caledonia, MI. The package I choose included vitals, that was never done. They asked when the last vaccines were, I told them it had been a little over a yr, they said she would have to come back in 3 weeks for a booster. They were rude, rushed us through even though there were NO other people waiting. I asked about reactions or issues, their response was "she might be a little sore". By 2pm that day my dog was in so much pain, could not walk, injection area was so swollen it went all the way to the back of her right leg, lethargic, very high fever, shaking. IT WAS AWFUL. Ended up calling the emergency vet, followed their suggestions, called my vet Monday morning only to hear my dog didnt even need to come back for a booster in 3 weeks like VIP Petcare said because she had the Lepto vaccine in the past but NOBODY listened. They were going to have me come back and pay MORE money and potentially cause more pain on my pup. That is a big deal to me!!! I filed a complaint Monday morning with VIP Petcare and got NO WHERE. Nothing but excuses!!!! They don' give a crap about anything except money and their staff needs training!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Do NOT take your animals to these clinics!!!!VIP Petcare

I apologize for your experience. We recommend bringing in previous pet records for our vets to verify and see if the pet would need boosters or not. Since you had no previous records with you during that visit, the vet advised that boosters would be needed in three weeks. When you had signed for terms of service it states that your pet can possibly experience a reaction. Since this was signed, we can not offer a refund, and all sales are final.Review fromMariana W

I've brought my new puppy in to one of the clinics in Alexandria VA. First of I asked them to do a check up and give him all shots a puppy needs. They missed giving him the Bordatella. I went again to get him the Bordatella shot and the canine flu shot. The canine flue shot needs a booster shot 4 weeks after.
When I was due for the booster, I headed to the clinic and it was cancelled that day due to short staff.
I was obliged to find another VIP Petcare in the area to give him the Booster. VIP Petcare in Mannasas was open so I took my dog there. Apparently it is not the same company. They made me pay for a physical exam for my dog to give him the booster shot he needed while they had all the records my dog was there before and had seen a vet for the initial shot. It sucks when all they want is more money. They denied me a refund apparently a "clinic" and a "wellness center" are different and have different rules.VIP Petcare

1 starI've been going to the weekend VIP Petcare clinic since I've gotten my dog at 2 months old. She's now 2 years old and due for her annual shots. So my dog and I went to one of their clinics today (2/12/23) in San Jose, CA and the vet team that were present did not deliver great service. Today was by far the worst service I have gotten. I am not sure if I am allowed to disclose the vet's name so I will omit that detail, but no vitals were taken at all (no weighing, no listening to the dog's heartbeat, etc.) but then they write "WNL" Within Normal Limits on their after visit email. I know these workers were trying but the vet techs did not know how to hold. My dog was still while the vet was drawing her blood for heart worm test, they let her go, and then she became squirmy. Vet tech A tried to hold but couldn't so he called vet tech B to help and he couldn't. They kept trying, my dog kept squirming, and then vet tech B frustratedly started to yell "she's trying to bite" twice. I was there, I saw what happened, she was very squirmy but she didn’t bite. Humiliating as it was, vet tech B told me to put a muzzle on her for protection. I put it on her, she wore it fine, they tried to hold again, and she didn’t try to fight at all. The vet gave her the rest of her vaccines and when the vet syringed the nasal bordetella to my dog's nose, most of it landed on the table. I am not a vet but I know how sloppy the service was. I've been with them for a while so this is very disappointing. Would I use their service again? I don’t know. Would I ever recommend them to others? No, not anymore.Review fromBriana P

The corporate policies of VIP pet care are not aligned with science. VIP pet care is unwilling to contact the manufacturer of medications to learn about the medications they authorize. My dog has been denied preventative healthcare by VIP pet care while the manufacturer recommended that preventative medication and welcomed VIP pet care to contact them to learn about this medication. Corporate policy controls decisions- not science, not veterinarians, and certainly not the best interests of patients.VIP Petcare

Hi B*****, we follow the manufacturer's labeled recommendations. Because your pet was weighed at our clinic at 43 pounds, it's true that we will not authorize a medication labeled for a pet that weighs 20-40 pounds. This is per manufacturer guidelines on their label and packaging. This is the strength of product that was prescribed by the veterinarian in clinic electronically. If you would like to purchase a different strength product through our pharmacy, it has to be written as such by the veterinarian.
