    I ordered 2 items from this company on 8/5/2023. It took forever and several calls and emails before the items finally arrived. I kept the one that most closely matched the color I needed and sent the other item back once I finally received a return authorization number from this company after a lengthy runaround. **** tracking shows the item was received back on 9/8/2023. I have spoken to some questionable sounding guys inquiring about my refund, and keep getting told it would take ***** days to see my credit. It is now 17 days later, and.....still nothing. Every aspect of communicating with this company has been extremely difficult. I believe I am dealing with some shady, dishonest characters here, and I am exhausted from trying to deal with these same couple of guys. Voice messages are never returned, and promises made are NOT promises kept. If I don't get some resolution on this within the next couple of days, I will be contacting my credit card company to take care of this. I would never deal with such a poorly run "company" as this ever again.

    On Friday November 28th, 2022 I visited ****************** website. I checked pricing on a few items and left as most items were overpriced. However, later that night I received an email from them offering a "personalized" coupon with a link to a checkout page that reflected *** discount on the total value of the cart. Over the following week they sent me two more emails increasing my discount to *** on the entire order. I spent several hours shopping on their site, selecting items that suited my project and fell within the budget. On November 5th, I finally placed my order to the total amount of ******* providing my name, address and CC number. A pending charge appeared on my credit card.
    The following day a representative of ****************** emailed me, stating that their system made an error and that I should not be receiving ANY discounts, but as a "courtesy" they will still offer me a discount of ***** I called back trying to explain my situation and reduce my order to bring it within the original budget, but the representative got very short with me and said that he could no longer give me a "courtesy" discount either and that they will be cancelling my order altogether. I feel used and abused. They tricked me into giving them my personal info and payment details and I believe they had no intention of selling me anything that was fairly priced. I am seeking compensation for misuse of my information and for deliberate baiting that resulted in waste of my time and project delay, unless they are going to own up to their behavior, apologize and deliver on my original order as agreed.

    As the customer has explained the items she ordered did not qualify for any discount. We offered her a $500 courtesy discount to make up for the system error, but she declined the offer.

    We never withdrew this offer and she is still entitled to this courtesy discount if she decides to go ahead with her order.

    Her credit card was never charged and her personal information will remain confidential like any other customer's.

    The merchant was dishonest in their response in several ways:
    1) They did withdraw the offer -- although they emailed me claiming that the offer was still available, they stonewalled me again when I responded and tried to transact. 2) They did charge my credit card and later refunded, so they have my personal and credit card information on record. 3) the discount was available from other retailers, so I was able to purchase most of my items at a price that was close to that originally offered by AffordableLamps.com.

    After reading internet reviews of their business, I discovered that there are other customers who had similar experiences with AffordableLamps.com. Therefore, I no longer believe that my case was an honest and standalone mistake, but the result of deliberate and misleading advertising campaign by AffordableLamps.com that promises discounts that are never delivered on.

    Additionally, my personal information and credit card that I used with them have been STOLEN. Although I have no proof to directly link them this theft, timing and circumstances suggest that they deceptively collected my information and misused it.

    I still want compensation for my time that I wasted on placing an order with them and trying to resolve their purported "error". I would also like my personal and credit card information completely erased from their system and 3rd party certification that they indeed have done so.

    Hello, the order was never charged initially. Credit card was only authorized for the funds and we voided the authorization after customer decided to not finalize order.

    We are using Turbify (formerly Yahoo! Stores) secure shopping cart software and we have no access to your credit card number. We're not able to see it and we do not store it, so rest assured your card was not compromised on our end.

    I'm sorry we could not meet your needs and we're glad you were able to make your purchase at another dealer.

    We have been online since 1999 and have over 11000 customer reviews here. You'll see most customers have no complaints. We're a real business. I'm sorry it didn't work out in this case.

    I purchased a fan from affordable lamps. The fan came defective. I followed all procedures and returned the fan. They never refunded me through PayPal and are still charging me the payments.

    They need to refund me the money as I returned the purchase.
