On 01/26/2023 I went to Grifols to donate plasma. This was my third time heading to their facility at *************************************************************. Everything was normal up until the plasma technician could not property insert the needle correctly in my arm to extract the plasma. After the third time adjusting the needle, the technician decided to walk away and leave the room. I started to get lightheaded and looked down at my arm and noticed a bubble forming on my forearm. As I looked around the room, I could not find a technician to attend my concern. I ended up passing out and fell to the floor with the needle still in my arm. I was unconscious for 30 seconds and then I woke up finding myself laying on the floor. Once I was able to stand up and talk with the technicians and doctor on site, I told them I was okay and that I just needed water. I told them I did not need an ambulance; however they decide to request one. The *** showed up and did nothing but stand there and look at me. I told them I was fine and did not need medical attention. I asked the technician who will be paying for the *** request and her response was that Grifols will be taking care of the cost. Two weeks later my insurance company Cigna received a bill for $225.00 from the *** service. I reached out to ********************* (Supervisor) at the facility, and he continued to tell me that he will be taking care of it. As I continued to follow up with him, nothing has been done to resolve the bill for $225.00.Initial Complaint

There is a great need for plasma. for a variety of important purposes. There is a compensation given to help get people to forget about this big needle, theyre going to stick in your arm,. I have donated plasma at grifols *****,ga. 68 times,64 in 2022. 4 in 2023. My complaint is about poor and unfair business practices as well as poor service. Since this is a place that sticks very large needle in peoples veins. I do think service is important. There are a lot of people that come there. That arent of the high quality of human beings. Addicts homeless etc. they deal with all kinds.but they treat most everyone as though everyone is of low moral character. I have had multiple issues with certain members of the staff. This isnt just 1 incident. Theyre constantly changing the rules like every six months without any warning they go down on the compensation. On December 30 I went and I was supposed to get $100 and I got 45 when I asked about it. I was told they posted paper signs on the walls. Telling everyone they just were not paying but less than half of the amount that one time I never saw a sign I had an appointment on dec 29 but I couldnt donate because their computer network was down. The app wouldnt let me make an appointment because it was the next day and it didnt understand that I didnt get to donate the day before. So I couldnt make an appointment through the app and I didnt have time to call and I had to drive and I couldnt call while was driving. I walked in 2 mins before the last available appointment time. There was one girl behind the counter. She was screening and she was yelling *** repeatedly. Who is supposed to be upfront handling those things. *** finally walks in 4 mins later, telling me that the time had expired and that she couldnt help me. Its over 30 miles. $10-$15 in gas round trip. 2/16/2023 my appt time 6pm. Computer say time for my yearly physical. *********** cant help you too close to end of day. I donated with the Grifols in *********, but was permanently differed because they said i didn't disclose all of my piercings during the initial physical. I know for a fact I told them I did, because I remember thinking "Why do they need to know about piercings that have healed?" I don't think I should be penalized with my ability to donate because, of one of the then workers mistakes.Initial Complaint

I was banned from donating for asking a question. I feel I have been wrongfully banned. I spoke with upper management and they will do nothing either. The incident was in between the manager and myself. There were no witnesses, yet they have witness statements. I just want to be able to donate plasma again.Initial Complaint

I want to start off by saying:- I am registered to Grifols (***********, ** - ************ love this location. Great employees throughout who are passionate about their work. Cons - The past couple times I have visited it has been an unpleasant experience. Screening in the beginning is a breeze but technicians who are poking patients during the plasmapheresis part should really be more attentive to people just coming in. My past 2 donations have been disrupted because I was waiting to be poked on the bed for over 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I watched others around me being serviced. & I just felt confused as to why I was being treated like I didnt exist and I felt like I had done something wrong. The technician didnt even acknowledge me the entire wait & when she did come she stopped as soon as she got my last 4 & name and started unhooking someone who had just finished next to me. Her manner was simply indifferent with zero regard to how long I had been waiting compared to everyone else. I donate quite often so I know , incoming patients are a priority. Or at least should be. It is my personal opinion that some technicians delay the donation process for certain patients whom they feel least relatable to. Solution - I propose giving patients an opportunity to share their experience immediately following donation to ensure employee customer service as well as accountability.Initial Complaint

I walked to the laundry mat to wash my clothes and stopped by there on the way back. Because I had a wagon full of clean clothes, you refused to let me donate and changed the rules. Even when I completed with the rule change you changed it again.Initial Complaint

Hello my name is *************************** I used to donate plasma to the institution GRIFFOLS PLASMA CENTER located on **************** in ******* **. I was permanently deferred ( Blacklisted ) Over a mistake they've made through the process of steps they take ; before you actually donate the plasma. I was accused of giving them wrongful information accurately about an address of living. but in all honesty, I was truthful about my situation. I had told them I didn't have an address that I was homeless at that time , and I told them this during the first step of the process leading to the donation. I don't understand why they have permanently deferred me from there establishment for being truthful when they could have just told me to come back 6 months , or a year. I don't feel this is very fair to me and they don't ever take the time to talk to me or resolve the problem even though years have gone by now . I am a hard worker , I have a house now , and I know other people who have actually been to this establishment, and have done to them ; things that are actually so intense they shouldn't even be allowed to donate anymore, as they do not feel those things are " connected" to their policies. Please I would very much like help to re- gain access to donate in these facilities. I go online today to sign up to give plasma. The app wouldn't let me. So i call the local Grifols office on *********************** and they say come in and make an appointment in person. I get there wait over 30 minutes and finally go back up to the counter and They say oh yeah we forgot. Then go to a side room and told that I can't give because of a doctors note stating that I had clotting issues in the past. I told the guy that a lot of the clotting issues come from with the machine gave an alarm and employees will ignore it and it such time clotting would occur in the line. He could care less. I guess my biggest beef is why I did not know about this Before I took the time before going in to give and then being told. Why is there no protocol about being called or mailed or emailed anything to let you know before you get there. It's been at least two months since I've been there you would think they would contact me somehow before this. Their customer service sucks before this.Initial Complaint

This company is ** . I donated for over a year to them. After a year you need a new physical. They tried to say I got a new*******...which I didn't. Told me I could donate again in a year. I came back 2 years later, today.They made me wait 2 hours to even speak to me. Come to find out they permanently banned me from donating. I still haven't gotten*******s since 2014. They wouldn't even do a physical or verify non of my*******s were within the last year. Dude who did my re physical ******* me over. It's a pathetic company. People coming in looking like they are high, but I can't (a********* member) donate because of a pettiness and refusal to verify anything. Save yourself the time and do not donate to these companies. I went in and donated at ******************** and I got a thing called a ***** bonus and that gives you $150 or more for referring a friend and then coming in and then again for that happened but that manager when she was putting on my money she went back in and took $100 off because she said I was making too much money because of my incentives and coupons that I got sent to me from actual ****** company And said she didn't believe me that I had those coupons even though I told her I'll come down and show them to her and she can see that they were correct and she still would not listen to me she said I made too much money I don't know how or what she meant by that and she took the hundred dollars off of my card from my separate from donations anyways ****** sent me coupons and I got incentives for going in and donated so it was a little bit more than what they offered I did it all correctly and right and she should not have did that is very unprofessional and productive and mean and rude and she was not nice about it that's why I haven't went back in even though you guys keep telling me to I don't wanna have to worry about you guys taking money away for me after I donate so can you please fix this and she please put the money back where it supposed to be nobody cheated anybody I offered to prove it to her she did not care and said I was wrong and didn't even want me to come down and bring them to her wouldn't even look or talk to me so please make this right and return the money I did everything I was supposed to do and they asked many managers about this so I don't know what to give her the right to do that on the separate issue when it was already on my card so can you please put that back make this right place and show her all the coupons and incentives you guys send out to people in the emails because if she doesn't know them she said she's never seen it before so it must not be true which is not OK OK thank you *****************
