Was sold a whole house water-softener system, an alkaline water system and a tankless water heater. Was told by the salesperson that with that came 15 years of necessary supplies (salt, filters, etc.) and service. Also were told that included was soaps and cleaning supplies for 10 years and that we could ask for more as needed. When we asked for more of those cleaning products, we were told by the company that we could only ask every 10 months. When we have called California Efficiency Group to ask about filters and salt and how often we can get those and how to get them and the cleaning products issues, we have not usually had success getting an answer, and the few times that we have gotten an answer we have only been told that someone will call us back, that no one is available to answer those questions.Business Response

Upon review, we can confirm that the customer was well aware of the contract terms. We want to confirm that we do service calls for our systems, but do not offer replacements. We also do in fact provide a supply of cleaning products for the time of the contract being, but they are not ************* is a subscription of twice a year, every six months. We will be happy to clear up any other misunderstandings.

I am rejecting this response because: The salesperson made it clear on multiple occasions that replacement filters and salt for the installed equipment would be provided. He also made it clear on multiple occasions that the cleaning supplies could be reordered whenever necessary. You stated in your response that it was every 6 months, yet the supplier let us know that it was at least 10 months between orders, so I dont understand why the disparity or why we have been told different things by different people.

We also had the Alkaline filter installed and were told the replacement filters for 15 years were included in the price. Also, we were told that the system was guaranteed for 15 years and we want to make sure that is true.

Two employees from this company came to my door on September 18, 2023. Fraudulently claimed that they were contracted by the city and there to install water filter at no cost. Also claimed there was a notice in my water bill scheduling their visit and then demanded to come into the house to test kitchen sink. Asked if wanted shoes on or off. Ran off when I told them I saw no insert and was going to check bills. Called water company and verified that they do not test inside. They test outside from spigots.Business Response

Hey, Im sorry if there was any miscommunication with our sales representative. We are a home efficiency company that offers plumbing upgrades, hvac and roofing.
Our marketing approach is to work the areas with the harsh water conditions. Which you can find here ***************************** by entering your zip code.
We are NOT contracted by the city.
We do have incentives for home owners to qualify for a water treatment system. In most cases it $2 a day. Less than the price of buying bottle water monthly ( in most cases )We will put your home on the do not knock list moving forward.

On June 17, 2 employees claiming to be from California efficiency group came to the door to talk about a govt subsidized water treatment program/ system. They did an exhibit of how the water is impure in the county of San Bernardino and asked for personal information. They said if approved they would install the water treatment system same day or the next day. They collected drivers license and social security number. I called the business to confirm if the two employees were legitimate and never received a call back. Am worried about the breach of personal information and where it is being stored. They claim they worked for govt. but are actually private contractors. They were going door to door soliciting and preying on elderly for their private info.Business Response

We sell water purification and plumbing upgrades. Customers have 2 ways to pay cash or finance, our sales reps ran your credit with your consent. ( you provided your social security number ) However you declined the services. We can not get paid if nothing was installed.

I am not inquiring nor concerned whether the business gets paid. Its about personal information security and predatory practices your company does. Why would your employees say it is a government subsidized program when it is not? Also using basic water testers that merely changes colors and not necessarily accurate. Also I want to validate that the employees that was sent to the house actually works for your company. (I provided the IDs on my complaint). Even if nothing was installed, how can we be sure that your system will keep my personal information private? Ive been going back and forth and still no confirmation if the associates actually worked there.Sincerely,

We are not affiliated with the government or utility company.
We work with financial institutions in order to help home owners afford our services with financing.
We submitted your information to the finance company however they did not approve the pre approval on your account.
In order to submit your information we would need your drivers license or social security number ( which you provided )
Once submitted we DO NOT have access to the potential clients information for security purposes.

This client had been complaining since the job started.
first it was the drain line now its the soaps.All customers are prepped on expecting the soaps. It takes 1-2 months to get the soaps, heres a tracking number with the soaps being shipped to her house.

On September 21 2021 signed a contract with California Efficiency group for the purchase of water filtration system and solar panels. Agreed on 34,883,73 for both, I agreed to pay on a month to month bases. They installed the water filtration system first with a promise to install solar panels after the construction on the house was completed. After construction was completed reach out to them and could not contact anyone easy, when contact was finally made there were no resolution. I let them no that I was very unhappy with there services they promise water filter cartridge , hand soap, cleaning products. So I never received my solar panels and services I don't want to pay for products I never got. After case #******** with BBB spoke with **** but never came up with a solution and now they wont return my phone calls. At this point I want the contract cancel.Business Response

We agreed to sign contract for solar panels, water filtration system and tankless water heater. Then the company agreed that they would also add new flooring and bathroom remodel to contract to take advantage of solar rebate on same contract. We addressed with sales rep that a tax credit would not work for our situation and he assured us thay rebate program was legit and that they would walk us through rebate process. The loan was setup to reflect a paydown of loan in the amount of anticipated rebate within 18 months. The rebate is in fact a tax credit, not enough to cover the 27% rebate promoised to reflect the pay down amount of loan.The additional work added to contract was completed eventually but was being done without the knowledge of the licensed contractor listed with business, until said contractor had to step in after work was started with an ineffincent contractor. Work was delayed and process inefficient. Would not ever sign another contract with this company.Business Response

Hey ***** I'm sorry to hear about the misunderstanding. The federal solar tax credit has been increased from 26% to 30% by the ***** Administration however you need to consult a tax professional in regards to how to receive it or whether or not you qualify for it. This would of also been explained by the loan company at the time of taking the loan. More information can be found here on the governments website.
