    I am filing a complaint against Spaces Works for failing to return my $280.00 security deposit. My membership was at ***********, *************,. Per my agreement, the deposit was to be refunded within 30 days after termination. I vacated the premises on November 30, 2024, and met all obligations, yet my deposit has not been returned. I have sent multiple emails to a representative, local manager and district manager and have yet to receive deposit. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, Spaces Works has failed to provide any justification for the delay. I request the BBB's assistance in resolving this matter promptly. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate my complaint to other consumer protection agencies and take legal action.Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Spaces **************** listed "103 Parking Spots" as a "location perk" among various services they provide. Those services include, for example:- 5 Meeting Rooms - Super fast Wi-Fi - Breakout Areas - 20 Dedicated Desks - Handicap Accessibility - 75 Private Offices I signed up for a account to use the services with a reasonable expectation that "103 Parking Spots" would be provided by Spaces for their customers. I called ********************** to ask where the parking was. They said that the parking was actually on-street parking and a paid garage (not even a service they control). "103 Parking Spots" is an oddly specific number to be co-mingled with other so-called "Location Perks" that a reasonable person would expect to be provided by Spaces.As the misunderstanding was made clear only minutes after signing up for the services, I wanted to cancel. Spaces, however, bills immediately a pro-rated charge for the first month of service and another charge for the next month of service. (I purchased a month-to-month plan). Contacting Spaces for support was difficult as I had to call several different "Community Centers" to try to get support. Their website offers some guidance on support, but there's no direct number to call for live support for my plan. I terminated my contract that same day (less than 2 hrs after the misunderstanding) but Spaces refused any refunds -- hiding behind their contract.Later, due to their aggressive billing, one of the transactions was declined by the bank. I fixed the card, but they never re-attempted billing. Their website would also not allow me to trigger another billing attempt at the time. Now they've sent a threatening email about late charges, despite the fix.These practices are predatory and unethical. I'm still waiting to see the amount of their late fee.

    On 8/30/2023 I purchased a one month coworking membership. I soon realized the service was not as advertised. When I went to cancel they denied a refund and also they informed me I had to pay for another month. I never agreed to anything of the sort. I have had to go through my credit card company to resolve this. Stay away from this scam company.

    I opened a mail forwarding subscription because I needed a center city address so my customers could see me as a legitimate professional service. I agreed to a $60 per month subscription for one year with a sales agent and was sent a contract to sign. After signing the contract, the sales agent informed me of a $99 activation fee and a subscription price, including fees of $62. I signed the contract on 4/24/23 and paid thereafter (apparently, the $62 payment I made was for the 6 days I had service because, on 4/30/23, they sent me another invoice for the month of May). On 5/31/23, I was sent another invoice of $62 for "Retainer/Deposit" However, the deposit was paid on 4/24. I was also sent another invoice for $28 for "Late Payment Fees". When I asked the service rep, they said I was charged extra for not setting up an automatic payment. (why would I trust them with my banking information if they aren't being honest even within the first seven days of service, they also never mentioned that charge during the sales meeting). Also, on 5/31/23, I received an invoice for $88 for a "virtual office," yet I never subscribed to a virtual office; I only paid for mail forwarding and a $25 mail handling charge. However, I never set up my mail forwarding, I never registered a forwarding address, and I never updated my mailing address (no mail could have been sent or forwarded because I never set it up purposely).
