I am writing to dispute unauthorized charges from PayProTec and address your refusal to close my account. On March 6, 2019, I signed up for your credit card processing services through a local agent. The terminal provided was incompatible with my business. I immediately informed the agent, who assured me the account would be canceled and personally retrieved the equipment.Despite this, PayProTec has continued charging me $64.90 monthly since March 2019, totaling $4,478.10 as of December 2024. I only discovered these charges when my account was sent to collections due to a change in the payment method on file.Adding to the issue, your company has refused to close my account until I pay the collections balance. This is unacceptable, as I never used your services, returned the equipment, and made it clear I wanted the account *********** Demands:Cease all collection activity and charges.Refund $4,478.10, the total unauthorized charges.Close my account immediately, with no further conditions or demands for payment.Provide written confirmation that the account is closed and no further charges will occur. If this matter is not resolved within 14 days, I will file formal complaints with the ************************ (***) and the ************************************ (****) and consider pursuing legal action to recover the charges and associated costs.I expect your immediate attention to this matter.

We received a call on 7/19/23 from PayProTec claiming to be our current credit card processor, ********* Services. we were told we were overcharged and we would see an adjustment on our account we needed to email statement attn: *** with our correction code. Email was ****************************** From there we were told we could save more by changing from a retail account to a merchant account. In order to do that we had to fill out a form via docusign, this was the new application, I even asked why the form said PayProTec and I was told PayProTec and ********* Card Services are under the same umbrella company. This was on 7/20/23. Once they had my application and account information they mailed me a new card unit, I did not set that up and red flags were going up bad when they got VERY pushy to get this set up ASAP. That's when I did research and found out they are not the same company. 8/7/23 I called to cancel and return he unit, an email was also sent 8/3/23 . I experienced the run around, arguing with me and hostility from PayProTec. They essentially said I was lying. I returned the unit on 8/10/23. They told me eventually my account was closed and cancelled. I received a label to return the unit on 8/15/23 although it was already returned. On 8/1/23 we received an ACH charge of $22.92 from them, I did not notice until the end of the month when reconciling. I would like these funds returned. I have since blocked them from charging our bank account again. They misrepresented themselves as another business in order to commit fraud to customers. I feel that deserves an F on the BBB report.

This issue has been resolved. They have returned all of the funds they took from our account in full.  We are happy with this resolution. Though we disagree with their business practices and the way they represented another company.

Business contacted us directly and credited back the funds they took.
