On the 25th October 2023 I purchased a ticket from Trips for Travel for my 16 year old son. The date of flight was to be 27th June 2024, Flight #**** **************** The flight would be from ************* ******** to *** ********. I paid a total of US$ ******. As I would normally do when I purchase trips from third parties, I called the airline in January 2024 to confirm that all was in order. I was then informed by ******* that the ticket was cancelled and the third party reimbursed.I called and emailed Trips for Travel and was given the assurance that the company would investigate why the ticket was cancelled by ******* and I was advised that the monies paid would be returned to my credit card. As with most businesses I was told that the funds would appear in 1 to 2 business cycles. To date, my card has not been refunded and to add insult to injury my bank is now investigating the unauthorized used of my credit card in over ************************************************************ Spirit Airline, Frontier Airline, Southwest Airline as well as American Airline transactions. I can only assume that Trips for Travel is responsible for this fraudulent activity. Please note that the fraudulent use of my card commenced on the 31st March 2024. It involved both the debiting and crediting of my card with debits in excess of credits by approximately US$4000. Given the nature of the transactions it seems the card was used by a travel agency in its day to day operations of purchasing tickets.Further, I wish to bring to your attention that on my credit card statement the initial transaction appears as SKYHYFLIGHTS *********** NY, a name I believe to be associated with Trips for Travel with which I purchased the ticket. After the cancellation of the ticket I opted not to repurchase from Trips for Travel but is still awaiting my refund.Initial Complaint

July 13, 2022 I was charged $507 for 2 air line tickets to fly on ********* Airlines. I had to cancel because my mother had a heart attack. The travel period was supposed to be Aug ****. The trip was cancelled in July. ********* stated that it was a fake email address assigned and someone elses vouchers used to purchase these tickets. ********* will not refund the money. Airtripadvisor cotinues to lie and refuses to reimburse me my money back. I just want my $507 back.Initial Complaint

On April 19 2022 we purchased tickets from what we thought was ********* Airlines. Turns out it was a third party **************** We spend $715.00 on 4 round trip tickets and 2 one way tickets. We ended up canceling 2 round trip flights and was told we would get a credit to our account. Only to find out we don't have a credit because the third party never paid the full amount to Allegiant. They kept all the money and canceled our flights. I would like my $311 to be refunded back to me.Initial Complaint

I booked airline tickets in July, thinking I was talking directly to ********* Airlines. I got a confirmation number and my credit cards were charged. When it came time to check into the airlines, low and behold, I had no tickets and Air Trip Advisor had cancelled my flight, but kept all my money with zero communication to me. Thankfully the true ********* air still had tickets, but I had to pay $350 extra for my tickets the day before my flight. I can't believe with all the complaints that this business is still open. I have filed a dispute with both of my credit cards, but now I'm concerned that Air Trip Advisors has a lot of my personal information. I just want my money back and for this business to be CLOSED for good so no one else gets scammed!Initial Complaint

On Sept 28, 2022, I thought I was going on ********* Airlines to purchase two round trip Tickets from ******************************* Flight number:2183, to Phoenix-**** *************** (***), ********* Flight 562 on Nov. 10, 2022 to Nov. 17, 2022. I gave them my credit card and they charged me $1165. They sent me a itinerary right away from ************************* This is my first time purchasing airline tickets. I have been told now much later that I should have realized this coming from this email. I am upset that this has happened to me. I have called them several times and they told me ********* cancelled my flight and I would be able to get my money back in 7 to 10 days. Did not happen. I called them again Nov. 23 and was told my money would be back in my account in 2 to 3 days. Did not happen. Is there any way I can get my money back and get these crooks to stop cheating people? What else can I do if anything.Initial Complaint

On 9/10/22 and on 9/14/22, I made two separate reservations for Allegiant flights to **** ** for family members, through this company. Upon receiving my confirmations, I could not enter them into the Allegiant app and called ********* who said they had been revoked or declined due to invalid voucher. I then called the reservations back and they said they would make new reservations and that I would get confirmations within ***** hrs. Not receiving anything, I called again. And a month, kept getting the same answer, that they were working on them and I would receive them within the next ***** hrs. I never did and at one point, 10/7/22, the agent, ******, said he would remake the reservations and I would receive confirmation with ***** hrs. I never did so I called on 10/13/22 to request a refund. The customer service person I talked to said the request was submitted and someone would call me within a few hrs. They never did. I called again this morning, talking to a totally different person who submitted the request again and it would be up to **** days to receive it. I asked to talk to a manager and ****** came on the line and restated that it could be **** days. I have called again asking for a confirmation number or email on the request but once again got the run around on having someone call me back, which from previous experience with them, likely will not happen.Initial Complaint

Called a number of which I thought was a representative of Alaska Air to book flights for my family to attend my ******* funeral. After and hour and a half on the phone with Rep ***** giving credit card info, DOB, address and phone number, etc. I was sent what was a credit card authorization for $4,700. and supposed to be a breakdown of the flight info. There was no flight dates, no seating specifications, or confirmations. Nothing I discussed regarding needing a wheel chair and assistance to the gate. I reminded him of this and was brushed off, he said he would send me my itinerary and flight confirmations within 2-3 hours via email. I immediately checked my bank nothing was processed against my credit card, I called the airlines directly from a number I got off my card, they said AirTripAdvisor was a scam/fraudulent. None of our names were booked on the flight. I purchased my tickets directly through Alaska Air, saving $1700.00. Then called the bank and canceled my credit card so AirTripAdvisor wouldnt be able to fraudulently use my card. This happened to days ago, and since then the guy has called me 3 times and sent me one text message to attempt to obtain a new payment for flight bookings. Mind you the flight is full now and no other tickets can be bought. This whole process took four hours! Crazy!Business Response

Dear Team,
Greetings for the day!
As we investigated the complaint, we found that the payment for $4,775 was declined due to a mismatch between the cardholder's name on the authorization form and signature, so we were unable to charge any amount to the customer. We tried calling the passenger within the proposed timeframe so that we could confirm the tickets on time and send the **Tickets. However, there was no response from the customer's end to the attempts we made. In the meantime, the customer contacted the airlines and made a confirmed reservation with them, wherein the airline informed the customer not to proceed with the reservation with our entity (AirTripAdvisor).
We are still in contact with the customer to check if she would take back the complaint or not, as we have not charged her anything.please find attached pdf as proof of card being declined.
Regards,
MySmartAirfares TeamInitial Complaint

On August 2nd I called a number I thought was for ********* Airlines to book a flight using my Rapid Rewards points/credit to my account. A man named **** (sp?) referred to himself as a ********* agent and told me he was looking up my account and did see my credit. I proceeded to book my plane ticket. He told me my credit didnt cover the whole fare and sent an email with a secure Panda Doc so I could authorize he charge $102 to my account. After I got off the phone, my husband said to argue these charges- that my credit was higher. When I called *********, they informed that my ticket had not been booked and that the man I spoke with did not work for *********. I have attached the doc I signed electronically saying it was for ********* Wanna Get Away tickets. I called the company (I learned it was called AirTripAdvisor by looking up the number) and disputed this. The woman, *******, promised my card would not be charged and said they were a third party subscriber and it was a misunderstanding. Today a $1600 charge was put on my card from Apple Korea. Someone from that company stole my information. My bank has now marked it for fraud. I want a written statement from the company saying they will cease charging anything to my card and I want an explanation why they pretended to represent ********* Airlines and lie to me about the rewards balance on my account.
