This data broker refuses to honor my opt out requests. The reason for the request is because they sold my info (including my home address) to a stalker. That is: they enabled someone to stalk me by supplying my personal information that I did not provide to that person myself.The site states a disclaimer that the consumer agrees not to use the information to stalk an individual. That's clearly not a deterrent. The customer is protected by anonymity in that no notification is sent to the victim that they are targeting. I'm certain the platform doesn't run background checks on the people buying our info and will sell our home address to any felon or *** offender with $5.Social Catfish

The additional information requested was intensely invasive. Basically requesting the info that they weren't already selling. The impression given was a major phishing attempt.Additionally, my request ticket was closed immediately and my written dispute to that remains unanswered.I attempted to contact the phone number on their site and found a recording that attempted to illicit a verbal "yes" from me and proceeded with a recorded marketing ploy for some off the wall service after the pause.Review fromNick P

I requested to opt out of their service, filled out the forum and was then told it was flagged for review suggesting I was a data removal company and that it was against their terms to go through the opt-out forum, I emailed their tech support and they emailed me saying their support team was reviewing my ticket, then was radio silent for 2 days before labeling it resolved without doing anything. I refuted that it was resolved, to which they gave me the same, (exact same, copy and paste) email with the opt out forum, again I filled it out, and again it was flagged as a data removal service and accused me violating their terms of service again, under normal circumstances I wouldn't care but I specified that I had been dealing with a prolific online stalker, they keep prompting me to talk on the phone despite the fact I explained to them my anxiety prevents me from handling phone calls well, (also copy and pasted a response from before.)If nothing comes of this soon I'm afraid I'm going to have to file a complaint with the California OAG, because if they're acting like this to someone out of state (despite specifying they honor opt-out requests from all states), it only stands to reason for there to be suspicion of questionable in-state actions that violate the *****Social Catfish

Called to cancel my account on November 8. Received email saying my account was canceled. Company continued to bill me through February but only agreed to refund Februarys payment. Company states only one service on my account was canceled Their email clearly states that my ACCOUNT was canceled. Their usage of the word ACCOUNT in the cancellation email is incredibly deceptive if it does not actually mean that my account was canceled. I only had one account with this company under one email address.. Since the email stated my account was canceled, I took no further action. If there was any indication in the cancellation email that my account was still open and that only one service had been canceled on the account, I wouldve called them back and asked them again to cancel my ACCOUNT. I had no way of knowing this was necessary because the email states that my ACCOUNT was canceled and all of my data was being erased. Incredibly dishonest business practices.Social Catfish

The confirmation email you received was for that specific service. We understand, however, that the wording may have caused confusion, and we sincerely apologize if it gave the impression that your entire account including all associated services had been canceled.We strive for clarity in our communications, and your feedback is valuable as we work to improve that. To ensure full cancellation of all services, customers must specify each one they wish to close, especially when multiple subscriptions are tied to the same account. 1 starSocial Catfish software does not work. I tried to search images of myself and others that had images all over the internet. Their software couldn't find any 100% exact matches. But it will give you a bunch of "non exact" matches to pretend it found data so you will pay for the subscription. I requested a refund from them. They offered to refund $13.74 out of $84.18. That is not right since their software does not do what they advertised. The amount I paid was for 3 different pieces of software; as you use their site they constantly upsell you. E.g. you are doing reverse image search, but you have to pay more to search someone's name or address.Review fromRebekah F

Impossible to reach someone in a position of power. After discovering multiple fraudulent charges to my bank account, I contacted this company and was told that multiple accounts had been created using my information and charged monthly for an INDEFINITE amount of time. They were entirely unhelpful, unwilling to communicate transparently, gave me the run around over the phone, and eventually refused to connect me with a supervisor or someone else who could help, claiming that they had nothing to do with copying my information across multiple accounts and charging me repeatedly for a service I have never used, and that I would need to deal with the situation through my bank. I've repeatedly requested this website to delete my personal information using their own opt-out system. Despite providing all the requested information, they have responded by refusing to do so and accusing me of "violating the terms of service" - despite the fact that I have never paid for nor used their services. This is the worst and most dishonest data broker I've ever come across and I'm going to reach out and complain to my local government officials if this isn't resolved quickly.Social Catfish

1 starI was mislead or completely lied to I made an account to search for information about where the picture came from and was told there was 4 results from photo I just needed to pay 6.86 to see the results. Once I entered in my card info and payed for the 6.86 trail fee I attempted to open results to find that the Image was never actually searched and now it would be, then acouple minutes later there was no result found.
