  We Hired Builders Innovation Group to build our father’s ADU and was quoted $150,000 and told the project would be done in nine months. We are now at over $227,000 and over a year with no end in sight.

  Builders Innovation Group was Contracted, by ****** *. and ***** ** to construct an ADU, on their property in ********** **. Below, please find Builder's Innovation Group's Position to this complaint. 

  
  

  • Note:  Mr. ******* has stated that they were "told the project would be done in nine (9) months"!  This is written nowhere!
  • ****** explained that if we can submit everything to the city now or very soon, and the city were to approve and turn things around, there's a chance the project could get done by Christmas. 
  • "Best case scenario, in a Perfect World, approximately nine months from the start of construction"! 
  • Response: This project's chronological history and true starting points: The project schedule officially started upon receipt of "All Approvals" & on the day the building permit was issued, 10/11/2022!  
  • Total project construction duration from 10/11/2022 through today's date (4/6/2023), is 5 months, 27 days!
  • 3/22/22 Design Contract signed. Plans to be developed and approved by the client, ****** *.
  • Response: 7/28/22 Proposal delivered to ******* in the amount of $227,418.64, based on final design changes made by the client, which was approved and endorsed by both parties. 
  • Response:  There is NOT a Project Estimate or Contract for the $150,000.00 quote, as submitted in ***** *******' complaint!
  • 9/14/22 Construction Contract executed by Builder's Innovation Group ownership, and ****** *.
  • 10/11/22 Final submittal package approved and building permit is issued, for Construction.
  • 10/11/22 Official "boots on ground" and start date!
  • From the start of construction 10/11/22 to date (4/6/23) there have been fifty-one (51) rain days in Oceanside California, the largest recorded rainfall in recent history.
  • We have strived to deliver clear and concise information to ****** *rmonde via our CoConstruct client platform throughout the entire process.  
  • Our published timeline and scheduled completion unfortunately have changed multiple times due to; weather (51 rain days), Clients, Engineer's, and municipality recommendations and corrections to plans. 
  • Response:  The Current schedule is running according to the published schedule in CoConstruct, with an April 25, 2023, completion.  There actually is an end in sight, which is listed and published in the CoConstruct platform!

  The Builder's Innovation Team has been in constant contact with ****** and ***** throughout the entire process, which includes every written conversation from day one of this project, again, which is listed and published in the client shared CoConstruct platform! 

  We are working diligently to finish the project, so we see this as an inopportune time to bring up divisive issues.
