Their reimbursement for our damages was only half of what it cost us to fix what was damaged. I understand things happen. It was a long distance move. The workers worked hard. We had a lot of things. I just felt we should have been fully compensated. We paid a lot of money for the move and they only gave us half. Beware I thought we made a good choice. Very disappointed. It wasnt even a big claim. ***********.Hire A Helper LLC

Were sorry to hear you were disappointed with the outcome of your damage claim. Our platform includes a base valuation of $0.60 per pound per item, which aligns with and exceeds typical industry coverage for labor-only services. We also offer optional Porch Damage Coverage that provides protection closer to full replacement value. If youd like to revisit the specifics of your claim, were happy to help; please contact us at ************** or ****************************************************************.

1 starI hired this company for a trailer loading job, paying in advance for four professional movers. On the day of the move, only three movers showed up, and no communication or refund was provided for the missing ********* make matters worse, they barely used the minimum required time, yet falsely added extra time to the bill. I had to go through the hassle of pulling Ring camera footage to prove they were being dishonest about their working hours. After the move, I noticed damage and attempted to file an insurance claim. The company demanded excessive proof, including photo evidence of damage and proof that I provided moving blankets-only to ultimately deny the claim. Instead, they offered a paltry $150 "customer satisfaction" settlement, but with strings attached: accepting it would legally prevent me from leaving any negative review. This kind of tactic is not only insulting, it's manipulative and speaks volumes about their business practices.I strongly advise others to avoid this company. Lack of professionalism, dishonesty, and unethical handling of claims make for a terrible customer experience. You're better off finding movers who value integrity and respect their customers.Review fromKatherine L

1 starBEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!We reached out to this company several weeks in advance to reserve movers to move our son to a new apartment in ******* and gave them a credit card to guarantee the reservation. They were supposed to show up at 2:00 but were supposedly delayed. My son called several times to check in and at 5:00, they said they wouldnt be able to move him. His old lease was up the next day, so he had to scramble to make other arrangements.Review fromKorynn P

This is absolutely the worst moving service of any kind. Extremely unprofessional customer service. They charge you a rescheduling fee even if you reschedule within the 48 hour time frame. Movers arrived an hour ******* Not use this company at all. Overall a very bad experienceHire A Helper LLC

We received our items late and had to spend money on an air *** for almost a month. Then when we revived our items most of shelves and dressers were broken along with our tables and chairs. We provided tie-down straps and none were used and all of our heavy items were packed on top of everything. A claim was submitted and denied and I called and was advised claims doesnt have a phone number, only email. The claims department offered $150 for the thousands of $ in broken items if I signed a form. I asked to speak to a manger numerous times and I was told the only thing I can do is email claims. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!Hire A Helper LLC

1 starHire a Helper is a scam. They sent an unqualified team to load my belongings. They provided no dollys etc. I provided blankets and instructed them to make sure all appliances etc were covered. When the trailer was unloaded the new helpers stated that the loaders did a terrible job and alot of my belongings were damaged. I tried to file a claim and just got at run around stating they are not responsible. I have moved **** over the years and have never had damage. BUYER BEWARE. It is not worth the few bucks you may save. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I would give 0 starst if it wer possible.Review fromChristina A

1 starYesterday, Hire a Helper sent an utterly unqualified team to move our belongings into PODS for our upcoming relocation, and the experience was a disaster from start to finish. A representative had previously assessed our home, confirming the need to move both a piano and a safe, and provided a quote that reflected these items. However, when the crew arrived, they pulled up in a van held together with a chain around the ***** forewarning of what was to come.Beyond the initial impression, the movers van was actively leaking oil and gasoline, leaving permanent stains on our newly poured concrete driveway. Inside, things went downhill fast. They planned to slide our piano across our Brazilian cherry floors until my husband intervened to protect our floors. During an attempt to move a desk, they also chipped the door frames, showing clear carelessness with our property. Then, they informed us they couldnt move the safe at all. When we called the company for support, they merely deducted the $300 safe-moving fee and replied with a dismissive, "Sorry, we can't move that." Today, on our final move-out day, we called again, only to be told they wouldnt provide any further assistance. Were now left scrambling to handle a $2,000 gun safe ourselves. This experience has been one frustration after another. Hire a Helpers unprofessionalism and utter lack of accountability are appalling, and Ill be sharing this experience widely to prevent others from making the same mistake.Review fromJustin S

Tried using them to help us load and unload the truck we had rented, the loaders showed up 30 mins late, after an hour tried to leave because they were behind I made them stay for the time I paid for however this was a mistake when i looked at the inside of the truck things were just tossed everywhere and not packed correctly and they loaded our electric fireplace upside down and had destroyed the doors off it. We redid the loading of the truck from scratch and submitted the claim to hire a helper as the company's manager tried to accuse us of moving the truck after they left causing the damage. The result of the claim was 60 cents per pound of damage so they offered 52$ for a 300$ fireplace and did not offer any refund for the terrible and useless work done in exchange for taking the 52$ I would've needed to sign a paper stating I would not state anything negative about the company, I declined that offer. The unload was ok for the most part except when we got to the end of the time we booked 3 hours and at an hour and a half the movers said they were too tired and cut it off and left, we did only pay for the time they were there but more things were left undone. Do not use this company ask around for reliable movers and go directly to them rather than using this scam company their protection is just an advertising gimmick made to make you feel safe until something actually gets damaged and then you are refunded based on weight not value so do not put anything light but expensive because they will scam you. Read their fine print before you book anything with them.Hire A Helper LLC

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Were sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during loading and understand how frustrating it must have been, especially with the damages to your fireplace. While the valuation provided with our service is set at $0.60 per pound per item, we want you to feel heard and supported in this process. We're glad to know the unloading went more smoothly and appreciate the feedback on both aspects of your move. Please dont hesitate to reach out if theres any additional information youd like us to consider as we review your claim further.
