Our truck was stolen on June 16th. The police recovered it at 9:10am on Thursday July 6th. Pepe's Towing picked up our vehicle at 10:51am. We did not receive a call until 4:40pm. We live over 20 minutes away, so we could not make it that day before they closed. We had to go to the San Bernardino police department in order for Pepe's to release the vehicle to us. The police dept. is conveiniently only open Mon-Thurs 9am-4pm. So we could not get our vehicle out until Monday, which racked up more fees. Pepe's said that they had to use two vehicles to get our vechicle our from where ever they found it. So they charged us for two trucks $1,220. Plus 4 days ($70 each day) of storage. Then on top of it, Pepe's charged us a $35 Lein fee. Which is not supposed to be charged until 30 days after. This place is crooked! I do not know why the San Bernardino police department contracts with them. The only positive experience I had was with Lupe. She was nice and I know she can not change the rules, because she is only doing her job. So not only did we get screwed with getting our truck stolen, but we had to pay $1,535 for crooked fees to get our vehicle back. Now more money to fix it to the way it was before it was stolen. Plus to recover all the tools etc.
